1 Kuom jatend wer. E dwol mar “Kik iketh gik moko.” Miktam mar Daudi. Kane Saulo ooro ji mondo ocher od Daudi mondo onege. Resa e lwet wasika, yaye Nyasaye; Rit ngimana kuom joma ogar koda.
“To the chief musician, Al-tashcheth, by David, a Michtham, when Saul sent, and they watched the house to put him to death.” Deliver me from my enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.
2 Gola e lwet joma timo gik maricho kendo resa kuom joma riyo mar chwero remo omako.
Deliver me from the workers of wickedness, and from men of blood do thou save me.
3 Neye kaka gibutona ka girita e yo! Joma kwiny chano kaka digihinya, to an onge gima rach kata richo masetimo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye.
For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul, the mighty are gathered in troops against me: not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord.
4 Onge gima asetimo marach, to kata kamano gin to giikore monja. Aa malo ikonya; ne chandruokna.
Without guilt [in me] they run and make themselves ready: awake, [come] toward me, and behold.
5 Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasaye Maratego, in Nyasach Israel, aa malo ikum ogendini duto; kik ikech andhoke ma timbegi richo. (Sela)
And thou, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to punish all the nations: be not gracious to any treacherous wicked one. (Selah)
6 Gidwogo ka piny imore, ka gingʼur ka guogi, kendo giwuotho koni gi koni e dala ka gingʼanjo.
They will return at evening; they will howl like dogs, and go round about the city.
7 Neye gik ma gingʼudho koa e dhogi, gingʼudho ligengni gi dhogi, kendo giwacho niya, “En ngʼa manyalo winjowa?”
Behold, they sputter with their mouth: swords are in their lips; for who, [say they, ] doth hear?
8 To in nyiergi, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, go siboi ne ogendinigo duto.
But thou, O Lord, wilt laugh at theme: thou wilt hold in derision all the nations.
9 Yaye tekona, in ema angʼiyi, in e kar pondona, yaye Nyasaye,
Because of [the enemy's] strength will I wait upon thee; for God is my defence.
10 Yaye Nyasacha ma jahera. Nyasaye biro telona kendo obiro miyo asungra ne joma ketho nyinga.
The God who showeth me kindness will go before me: God will let me see [my desire] upon those who regard me with envy.
11 To kik uneg-gi, yaye Ruoth ma okumbana nikech joga dipoka wigi owil. Mi giba abaya koni gi koni gi tekoni, kendo mi gidog piny.
Slay them not, that my people may not forget: drive them about by thy power; and bring them down, thou our shield, O Lord.
12 Nikech richo ma gitimo gi dhogi kuom wuoyo, nikech weche mawuok e dhogi, wegi mondo sungagi ogajgi. Nikech gikwongʼo ji kendo gi wuondo ji,
The sin of their mouth is the word of their lips: let them be caught through their pride, because of the cursing and lying which they relate.
13 tiekgi gi mirimbi mager, tiekgi mi kargi lal nono, eka biro ngʼere e tungʼ piny koni gi koni ni Nyasaye nigi loch kuom joka Jakobo. (Sela)
Make an end in fury, make an end [of them], that they my be no more, and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob, as far as the ends of the earth. (Selah)
14 Gidwogo ka piny imore ka gingʼur ka guogi, kendo giwuotho koni gi koni e dala ka gingʼanjo.
And they will return in the evening; they will howl like dogs, and go round about the city.
15 Gibayo koni gi koni ka gidwaro chiemo kendo ka ok giyiengʼ to gingʼur.
They will indeed roam about after something to eat, if they be not satisfied, so that they can be at rest.
16 Anto abiro wer kuom tekoni abiro wero herani gokinyi; nikech in e ohingana, in e kar pondona e kinde mag thagruok.
But I will truly sing of thy strength; yea, I will sing joyfully in the morning of thy kindness; for thou hast been a defence unto me and a refuge on the day when I was distressed.
17 In e tekona, omiyo abiro weroni wend pak; in e ohingana, yaye Nyasaye, in e Nyasacha ma jahera.
Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing; for God is my defence, the God of my kindness.
