< Zaburi 58 >
1 Kuom jatend wer. E dwol mar “Kik iketh gik moko.” Miktam mar Daudi. Un jotelo, bende uwuoyo gi adiera? Bende ungʼado bura moriere tir e dier ji?
“To the chief musician Al-tashcheth, by David, a Michtham.” Do you indeed, who are dumb, speak righteously? do ye judge in uprightness, O ye sons of men?
2 Ooyo, uchano mayo ji ratiro magi e chunyu, kendo lwetu chano kelo dhawo e piny.
Even in [your] heart ye work injustice: on the earth do ye weigh out the violence of your hands.
3 Joma timbegi richo chako lal ae nywolgi; gin jo-jendeke kendo gin jo-miriambo aa nywolgi.
The wicked are estranged [from goodness] from the womb: those who speak lies go astray from their very birth.
4 Kwiri margi chalo gi kwich thuol, chalo gi kwich thuond rachier ma tege oyienyo,
They have poison like the poison of a serpent: [they are] like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;
5 ma kata ja-bochne wuone to ok owinji, kata bed ni ja-bochneno olony machal nadi.
Which will not hearken to the voice of conjurers, yea, that of the wisest of all charmers.
6 Muk lekegi ei dhogi, yaye Nyasaye, yiech kwiri mag sibuoche oko, yaye Jehova Nyasaye!
O God, break out their teeth in their mouth: the jaw-teeth of the young lions tear thou out, O Lord.
7 Mi gilal nono ka pi mamol; ka giywayo atungegi to mi asernigi obed madik.
Let them melt away as water [which] runneth off: when each one bendeth [his bow to shoot] his arrows, let them be as if cut in pieces.
8 Mana kaka ndach kamnie maleny nono, kendo mana kaka nyathi monywol kosetho, mad kik gine wangʼ chiengʼ.
As a snail which melteth, let him pass away; like the untimely birth of a woman which hath not seen the sun.
9 Kapok agulni magi ochako winjo liet mach, bed ni en mach mabebni kata maliel mos, to joma timbegi richo ibiro ywe oko.
Before your pots can feel the thorns, will he take them away with a whirlwind, both the green and the burning.
10 Joma kare biro bedo mamor kichulonigi kuor, ka giniluok tiendegi e remb joma timbegi richo.
The righteous will rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he will bathe his steps in the blood of the wicked.
11 Eka ji nowach niya, “Kara en adier ni joma kare pod yudo pok; kara nitie Nyasaye mangʼado bura ne piny.”
So that a man shall say, Verily fruit will come for the righteous: verily there is a God that judgeth on the earth.
