1 Negingʼado nam nyaka loka e gwengʼ miluongo ni Gerasi.
And they came over to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 Kane Yesu owuok e yie, to ngʼat moro man-gi jochiende manodak e kar liete noromone.
And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Ngʼatni nodak kar yiko joma otho, kendo onge ngʼat mane nyalo make mi tweye kata mana gi nyororo.
Who had [his] dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Nikech nosebedo ka itweyo lwetene gi tiendene to nyoroche mane itweyego nochodo achoda mi ongʼiny matindo tindo chumbe mane iridogo tiendene. Koro ne onge ngʼato ma tekre ngʼeny mane nyalo make.
For he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any [man] tame him.
5 Otieno gi odiechiengʼ duto ngʼatni ne wuotho e kind liete kendo e gode man machiegni koywagore matek kendo kongʼolore gi kite.
And always, night and day, he was on the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 Kane oneno Yesu kabiro gi kuma bor, noringo odhi ire mopodho piny e nyime.
But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped him,
7 Nogoyo koko gi dwol maduongʼ mogik niya, “Yesu Wuod Nyasaye Man Malo Moloyo, angʼo milaro koda? Kuongʼri ne Nyasaye ni ok ibi sanda!”
And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, [thou] Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 Noyudo Yesu osewacho ne jachien marachno niya, “Aa kuom ngʼatni!”
(For he said to him, Come out of the man, [thou] unclean spirit.)
9 Eka Yesu nopenje niya, “Nyingi ngʼa?” Nodwoke niya, “Nyinga Oganda, nikech wangʼeny.”
And he asked him, What [is] thy name? And he answered, saying, My name [is] Legion: for we are many.
10 Eka nochako sayo Yesu mondo kik oriembgi gia e gwengʼno.
And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 To noyudo kweth maduongʼ mag anguro moko kwayo e bath got mane ni machiegni kanyo.
Now there was there nigh to the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 Jochiendego nosayo Yesu kawacho niya, “Orwa ir anguro ka mondo wadhi wadonj eigi.”
And all the demons besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 Yesu nomiyogi thuolo mi jochiendego nowuok kuom ngʼatno mi gidonjo ei angurogo. Kwethgo duto ma kar rombgi ne nyalo chopo alufu ariyo, noringo matek koluwo aridiridi mochomo nam mi giduto ne githo ei pi.
And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea.
14 Jokwadh angurogo noringo oa mine gidhi gitero wach ne ji duto modak e dala kendo e gwengʼno gima nosetimore, omiyo jogo duto nobiro mondo gin bende gineye gi wangʼ-gi.
And they that fed the swine fled, and told [it] in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 Kane gibiro ir Yesu, negineno ngʼat ma yande jochiende mangʼeny sandono kobet piny kanyo korwakore maber kendo pache nikare mi luoro nomakogi.
And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the demon, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16 To jogo mane oneno gima notimore nonyiso ji gik moko duto mane osetimore ne ngʼat mane nigi jochiende kendo ne anguro bende.
And they that saw [it] told them how it befell him that was possessed with the demon, and [also] concerning the swine.
17 Kuom mano jogo nosayo Yesu mondo oa e gwengʼ-gi.
And they began to pray him to depart out of their borders.
18 Kane oyudo Yesu donjo e yie, ngʼat mane jachien sando mane oyudo osechangono nosaye mondo oyie odhi kode.
And when he had come into the boat, he that had been possessed with the demon prayed him that he might be with him.
19 To Yesu notame kawachone niya, “Dog dala ir joodi mondo inyisgi gik madongo ma Ruoth osetimoni, kendo kaka osekechi gi kech maduongʼ.”
Yet Jesus suffered him not, but saith to him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
20 Omiyo ngʼatno nowuok odhi mi nochako lando e gwenge mag Dekapoli konyiso ji gik ma Yesu nosetimone. Ji duto nowuoro wechego.
And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him. And all [men] wondered.
21 Kane Yesu osengʼado nam gi yie mi odok loka machielo, oganda maduongʼ nolwore.
And when Jesus had passed over again in a boat to the other side, much people gathered to him: and he was nigh to the sea.
22 Eka ngʼat moro ma jatend sinagogi ma nyinge Jairo nobiro kanyo. Kane oneno Yesu nogoyo chonge piny e tiende
And behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 kosaye niya, “Nyara matin tuo dwa tho, yie ibi mondo iket lweti kuome mondo ochangi odok mangima.”
And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: [I pray thee], come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she will live.
24 Omiyo Yesu nowuok modhi kode. Oganda maduongʼ ne luwo bangʼ Yesu kothungʼe koni gi koni.
And [Jesus] went with him; and many people followed him, and thronged him.
25 To dhako moro ne ni kanyo mane osebedo ka iye chwer kuom higni apar gariyo.
And a certain woman who had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 Dhakoni nosechandore miwuoro e lwet jothieth mathoth kendo nosetieko mwandu duto mane en-go to ne ok oyudo resruok. Kar chango to tuone nosiko ka medore.
And had suffered many things from many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was not relieved, but rather grew worse,
27 Kane owinjo humb Yesu, nobiro gi yo katoke ei oganda kendo nomulo riak lawe,
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
28 koparo e chunye niya, “Kata ka anyalo mulo mana riak lawe to abiro chango.”
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 Iye machwer nochok gikanyono mi nowinjo e dende ni ochango.
And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in [her] body that she was healed of that infirmity.
30 E sa nogo Yesu nongʼeyo ni teko osewuok kuome. Nolokore mi ochomo oganda, kopenjogi niya, “En ngʼa momulo lepa?”
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the throng, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 To jopuonjrene nodwoke niya, “Ineno ka ji olwori moketi diere to pod ipenjo apenja ni, ‘En ngʼa momulo lepa?’”
And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 Yesu nomedo ngʼicho ei oganda mondo one ngʼat mane omule.
And he looked around, to see her that had done this thing.
33 Kane dhakono ongʼeyo e chunye gima nosetimorene, nobiro mopodho e tiend Yesu kotetni gi luoro kendo nonyise adier man kuome duto.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 Yesu nowachone niya, “Nyara yieni osechangi. Dhi gi kwe kendo chandruokni mondo orum chuth.”
And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be healed of thy infirmity.
35 Kane oyudo Yesu pod wuoyo, jomoko nobiro moa e od Jairo ma jatend sinagogi. Negiwachone Jairo niya, “Nyari osetho, angʼo momiyo pod ichando Japuonj?”
While he was yet speaking, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's [house certain] who said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36 Ka ok osedewo wach jogo, Yesu nowachone jatend sinagogi niya, “Kik iluor, bed gi yie.”
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith to the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe,
37 Yesu koro ne ok oyie mondo ngʼat moro oluwe makmana Petro gi Jakobo kod Johana owadgi Jakobo.
And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 Kane gichopo e dala jatend sinagogi, Yesu noyudo ka dala otimo koko; ka ji ywak kendo goyo nduru matek.
And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 Nodonjo ei ot mopenjogi niya, “Koko gi nduru ni manade? Nyathi ok otho, onindo aninda.”
And when he had come in, he saith to them, Why make ye this tumult, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 To jogo nonyiere anyiera. Kane osegologi oko duto, nokawo wuon nyathi gi min-gi kaachiel gi jopuonjre mane ni kode, mi odonjo kodgi nyaka iye kuma nyathi ne nitie.
And they derided him: but when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
41 To nomako lwet nyathi manyakono mi owachone niya, “Talitha koum!” (tiende ni, “Nyako matin, anyisi ni aa malo!”)
And he took the damsel by the hand, and said to her, Talitha cumi: which is, being interpreted, Damsel (I say to thee) arise.
42 Sano sano nyakono nochungʼ malo mochako wuotho e dier ot (ne en ja-higni apar gariyo). Ji duto nohum nono kuom gima notimoreno.
And forthwith the damsel arose, and walked; for she was [of the age] of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 To Yesu nosiemogi matek ni kik ginyis ngʼato moro amora gima nosetimore, bangʼe nonyisogi ni mondo gimi nyakono gimoro ocham.
And he charged them strictly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
