< Joshua 13 >

And Joshua is old, entering into days, and YHWH says to him, “You have become aged, you have entered into days; as for the land, very much has been left to possess.
2 “Kuonde modongʼ mapok okaw e magi: “gwenge duto mag jo-Filistia gi jo-Geshur,
This [is] the land that is left: all the circuits of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,
3 kochakore e Aora Shihor man yo wuok chiengʼ mar Misri nyaka e tongʼ Ekron man yo nyandwat, magi duto nokwan kaka jo-Kanaan. Kuonde mane jotelo abich mag Filistia orito ne gin, Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath kod Ekron; magi ne gin mag jo-Avi
from Sihor which [is] on the front of Egypt, and to the border of Ekron northward (it is reckoned to the Canaanite), five princes of the Philistines, the Gazathite, and the Ashdothite, the Eshkalonite, the Gittite, and the Ekronite, also the Avim;
4 yo milambo; pinje duto mag jo-Kanaan, kochakore Meara mar jo-Sidonia nyaka ochopo Afek, gi tongʼ mar jo-Amor;
from the south, all the land of the Canaanite, and Mearah, which [is] to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the border of the Amorite;

and the land of the Giblite, and all Lebanon, at the sun-rising, from Ba‘al-Gad under Mount Hermon, to the going in to Hamath:
6 “Ne jogo duto modak kuonde motimo gode chakre Lebanon nyaka Misrefoth Maim, tiende ni, jo-Sidonia duto, an awuon abiro riembogi mondo giwene jo-Israel. Beduru gi adieri mar pogo ni jo-Israel pinyni kaka girkeni margi, mana kaka asechikoi.
all the inhabitants of the hill-country, from Lebanon to Misrephoth-Maim, all the Sidonians: I dispossess them before the sons of Israel; only, cause it to fall to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
7 Pogeuru kaka girkeni ni dhoudi ochikogo, kaachiel gi nus joka Manase.”
And now, apportion this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes, and half of the tribe of Manasseh.”
8 Nus modongʼ mar joka Manase, gi jo-Reuben kod jo-Gad noseyudo girkeni mag-gi mane Musa jatich Jehova Nyasaye osemiyogi yo wuok chiengʼ mar aora Jordan.
With [the other half], the Reubenite and the Gadite have received their inheritance, which Moses has given to them beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses servant of YHWH has given to them;
9 Nochakore Aroer koluwore gi holo mar Arnon, kendo koluwore gi dalano manie dier holono, mi oriwo gode duto mag Medeba mochopo nyaka Dibon,
from Aroer, which [is] on the edge of the Brook of Arnon, and the city which [is] in the midst of the brook, and all the plain of Medeba to Dihon,
10 bende nyaka mier matindo mar Sihon ruodh jo-Amor, mane jatelo Heshbon, mantiere e tongʼ mar jo-Amon.
and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, to the border of the sons of Ammon,
11 Noriwo nyaka Gilead, gwenge jo-Geshur kod jo-Maaka, Got Hermon duto, kod Bashan duto, mochopo nyaka Saleka,
and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurite, and of the Maachathite, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salcah;
12 tiende ni, pinyruodh Og duto man Bashan, ma bende nosebedo gi loch e Ashtaroth gi Edrei. (To bende nobedo achiel kuom jo-Refai mogik.) Musa noloyogi mi okawo pinygi.
all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei; he was left of the remnant of the Rephaim, and Moses strikes them, and dispossesses them;
13 Makmana jo-Israel ne ok oriembo jo-Geshur gi jo-Maaka, omiyo pod gidak e dier jo-Israel nyaka chil kawuono.
and the sons of Israel did not dispossess the Geshurite, and the Maachathite; and Geshur and Maachath dwell in the midst of Israel to this day.
14 To dhood Lawi ne ok omiyo girkeni, nikech chiwo mane ochiw kokalo e mach ne Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel e girkeni margi, mana kaka ne osingonigi.
Only, he has not given an inheritance to the tribe of Levi; fire-offerings of YHWH, God of Israel, [are] its inheritance, as He has spoken to it.
15 Girkeni mane Musa omiyo dhood Reuben kaluwore gi anywola ka anywola e magi:
And Moses gives to the tribe of the sons of Reuben, for their families;
16 Tongʼ mar pinygi nochakore Aroer man but holo mar Arnon, kendo koa e dalano mantiere e dier holono nyaka Medeba,
and the border is to them from Aroer, which [is] on the edge of the Brook of Arnon, and the city which [is] in the midst of the brook, and all the plain by Medeba,
17 gi Heshbon kaachiel gi mier matindo mantiere e pewe, kaka Dibon, Bamoth Baal, Beth Baal Meon,
Heshbon, and all its cities which [are] in the plain, Dibon, and Bamoth-Ba‘al, and Beth-Ba‘al-Meon,
18 Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mefath,
and Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,
19 Kiriathaim, Sibma, Zereth Shahar mantiere e got manie holo,
and Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-Shahar, on the mountain of the valley,
20 Beth Peor, pewe mag Pisga, kod Beth Jeshimoth,
and Beth-Peor, and the Springs of Pisgah, and Beth-Jeshimoth,
21 mier matindo duto mantiere e pewe kod kuonde duto mag Sihon ruodh jo-Amor, ma bende norito Heshbon. Musa noseloyo Sihon ruodh jo-Amor kaachiel gi Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur gi Reba mane jodong jo-Midian. Jodongogo nodak e pinyno ka gin e bwo loch Sihon.
and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses struck, with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, princes of Sihon, inhabitants of the land.
22 Koriwore gi jogo mane onegi e lweny, jo-Israel nonego bende Balaam wuod Beor, mane ja-nyakalondo.
And the sons of Israel have slain Balaam, son of Beor, the diviner, with the sword, among their wounded ones.
23 Aora Jordan ema nobedo tongʼ mar joka Reuben. Pinyno kaachiel gi mier matindo mokiewo kodgi nobedo girkeni mar joka Reuben.
And the border of the sons of Reuben is the Jordan, and [its] border; this [is] the inheritance of the sons of Reuben, for their families, the cities and their villages.
24 Girkeni mane Musa omiyo dhood Gad kaluwore gi anywola margi e magi:
And Moses gives to the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad, for their families;
25 Piny Jazer, mier matindo duto mag Gilead kod nus mar jo-Amon mochopo Aroer machiegni gi Raba;
and the border to them is Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half of the land of the sons of Ammon, to Aroer which [is] on the front of Rabbah,
26 kendo chakre Heshbon nyaka Ramath Mizpa gi Betonim, kendo kochakore Mahanaim nyaka piny Debir;
and from Heshbon to Ramath-Mispeh, and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir,
27 to pinygi mane ni e holo notingʼo Beth Haram, Beth Nimra, Sukoth, Zafon kod bath piny Sihon ruodh Heshbon modongʼ (pinygino neni yo wuok chiengʼ mar aora Jordan kendo Jordan nyaka Nam Kinereth nodoko tongʼ mare).
and in the valley, Beth-Aram, and Beth-Nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and [its] border, to the extremity of the Sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan eastward.
28 Pinyno kaachiel gi mier matindo mokiewo kodgi nobedo girkeni mar joka Gad.
This [is] the inheritance of the sons of Gad, for their families, the cities and their villages.
29 Girkeni mane Musa omiyo nus mar dhood Manase, tiende ni, nus mar nyikwa Manase, kaluwore gi anywola ka anywola.
And Moses gives to the half-tribe of Manasseh; and it is to the half-tribe of the sons of Manasseh, for their families.
30 Pinygi nochakore Mahanaim, mokwako piny Og ruodh Bashan duto kod kuonde dak duto mag Jair man Bashan, to gi mier matindo piero auchiel,
And their border is from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the small towns of Jair, which [are] in Bashan—sixty cities;
31 bende nokawo nus mar jo-Gilead, gi Ashtaroth kod Edrei (ma gin mier madongo mag Og ruodh Bashan). Magi e pok mane omi nyikwa Makir wuod Manase, tiende ni nus mar dhood Makir konchiel.
and half of Gilead, and Ashteroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, [are] to the sons of Machir, son of Manasseh, to the half of the sons of Machir, for their families.
32 Ma e girkeni mane Musa ochiwo kane en e paw Moab nyaka loka aora Jordan, yo wuok chiengʼ mar Jeriko.
These [are] they whom Moses caused to inherit in the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan, [by] Jericho, eastward;
33 To ni dhood Lawi, Musa ne ok opogonigi girkeni, nikech Jehova Nyasaye, ma Nyasach Israel, e girkeni margi, mana kaka nosesingonegi.
and Moses did not give an inheritance to the tribe of Levi; YHWH, God of Israel, Himself, [is] their inheritance, as He has spoken to them.
