< Ayub 24 >
1 “Angʼo momiyo Jehova Nyasaye Maratego ok oketo odiechieng ngʼado bura mondo ongʼere? Angʼo momiyo joma ongʼeyo geno odiechiengno to ok ginyal nene?
Why are not times treasured up with the Almighty? why do not they that know him see his days?
2 Ji ma timbegi richo ketho kiewo; kendo gikwayo jamni ma gisekwalo.
They remove the landmarks; they violently take away the flocks and pasture them;
3 Gikwalo punda nyathi kich kendo gikawo rwadh pur achiel kende mar dhako ma chwore otho ka gir singo.
They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge;
4 Gimono jochan yudo adiera kendo gimiyo jomodhier ringo pondo.
They turn the needy out of the way: the afflicted of the land all hide themselves.
5 Joma odhier tiyo matek kamanyo chiemo e thim, mana ka punda; nikech onge kama ginyalo yudoe chiemo ni nyithindgi.
Lo, [as] wild asses in the desert, they go forth to their work, seeking early for the prey: the wilderness [yieldeth] them food for [their] children.
6 Gichoko chiemb jamni kendo gihulo mzabibu e puothe joricho.
They reap in the field the fodder thereof, and they gather the vintage of the wicked;
7 Ginindo duk gotieno nikech gionge lewni; gionge gimoro amora ma ginyalo umorego ka koyo ngʼich.
They pass the night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold;
8 Kodh ajiki mag gode olwoko dendgi kendo gitwere e lwendni nikech gionge kuonde dak.
They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and for want of a shelter embrace the rock...
9 Nyathi maonge gi wuon iyudho oko e thuno; nyathi jadhier ma pod kwar imako kar gowi.
They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor:
10 Giwuotho duk e gwengʼ nikech gionge lewni; gitingʼo ne ji chiemo to gin to kech negogi.
These go naked without clothing, and, hungry, they bear the sheaf;
11 Ji chunogi gitoyo zeituni kuonde ma gin ema gikunyo, kendo gibiyo olemb mzabibu to gin riyo negogi.
They press out oil within their walls, they tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
12 Chur mar joma tho ochomo polo koa e dala maduongʼ kendo chunje joma ohinyore ywagore ka dwaro kony, to Nyasaye ok okum joma hinyogi.
Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out; and God imputeth not the impiety.
13 “Nitie jomoko mangʼanyo ne ler, ma ok ongʼeyo yore ler, kata ma ok dwar ler.
There are those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
14 Ka ler mar odiechiengʼ rumo aruma nii, to janek aa malo kendo onego jochan gi jodhier; otimo kamano gotieno kolidho ka jakuo.
The murderer riseth with the light, killeth the afflicted and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
15 Wangʼ jachode bende rito mondo piny oimre; oparo e chunye niya, ‘Onge ngʼat ma biro nena,’ kendo opando wangʼe mondo kik ngʼeye.
And the eye of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me; and he putteth a covering on [his] face.
16 Jokuo turo udi gotieno, to kochopo odiechiengʼ to gipondo; nimar ok gidwar neno ler.
In the dark they dig through houses; by day they shut themselves in; they know not the light:
17 Giduto mudho mandiwa chalnegi okinyi; giloso osiep gi masiche mayudore e mudho mandiwa.
For the morning is to them all [as] the shadow of death; for they are familiar with the terrors of the shadow of death.
18 “To kata kamano gichalo buoyo moyienyo ewi pi malo; lopegi okwongʼ, maonge ngʼama rawo e puothegi mag mzabibu mi yudie olemo.
He is swift on the face of the waters; their portion is cursed on the earth: he turneth not unto the way of the vineyards.
19 Joricho lal nono e piny ma ji odakie, mana kaka pe leny ka chiengʼ rieny e ndalo oro. (Sheol )
Drought and heat consume snow waters; so doth Sheol those that have sinned. (Sheol )
20 Onge ngʼama paro joricho kendo wich wil kodgi; mi kudni chamgi kendo itiekogi chuth.
The womb forgetteth him; the worm feedeth sweetly on him: he shall be no more remembered; and unrighteousness is broken as a tree, —
21 Gisando mon ma chwogi otho kendo ok gikech mon maonge nyithindo.
He that despoileth the barren that beareth not, and doeth not good to the widow:
22 To Nyasaye tieko joma roteke gi tekone; kata obedo ni gin joma niginyalo to gionge gi ratiro ni gibiro bedo mangima.
He draweth also the mighty with his power; he riseth up, and no [man] is sure of life.
23 Onyalo weyogi mi gipar ni gin gi kwe, to wangʼe osiko rangogi kinde duto.
[God] setteth him in safety, and he resteth thereon; but his eyes are upon their ways.
24 Gineno maber kuom kinde matin kende to bangʼe gilal nono kadiemo wangʼ, kendo ichokogi mi giner ka buya mopudhi; kendo ingʼadogi oko mana kaka ingʼado wiye cham.
They are exalted for a little, and are no more; they are laid low; like all [other] are they gathered, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
25 “Ka gik ma awachogo miriambo, to en ngʼa manyalo nyiso maler ni ariambo, ma dimi wechega bed gik manono?”
If it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
