< Ayub 13 >

1 “Wengena oseneno magi duto, kendo ita osewinjo tiendgi maber.
Lo, all — hath mine eye seen, Heard hath mine ear, and it attendeth to it.
2 Gima ungʼeyo, an bende angʼeyo; kik upar ni afuwo.
According to your knowledge I have known — also I. I am not fallen more than you.
3 To Jehova Nyasaye Maratego ema daher mondo awuogo kendo mondo anyis Nyasaye gik mane chunya.
Yet I for the Mighty One do speak, And to argue for God I delight.
4 Un to uumo adiera gi miriambo; uchalo jothieth ma ok nyal thiedho tuo!
And yet, ye [are] forgers of falsehood, Physicians of nought — all of you,
5 Kudwaro nyiso ni uriek to mad koro ulingʼ alingʼa kar wuoyo!
O that ye would keep perfectly silent, And it would be to you for wisdom.
6 Koro winjuru ane gima awacho; chikuru itu ne ywakna.
Hear, I pray you, my argument, And to the pleadings of my lips attend,
7 Ere gima omiyo uwuoyo marach kuom Nyasaye? Koso uparo ni miriambou biro konyo Nyasaye?
For God do ye speak perverseness? And for Him do ye speak deceit?
8 Bende Nyasaye nyalo yie kodu kudwaro loko adiera bedo miriambo?
His face do ye accept, if for God ye strive?
9 Bende doyud adiera kuomu kononou? Bende duwuonde kaka uwuondo dhano?
Is [it] good that He doth search you, If, as one mocketh at a man, ye mock at Him?
10 Obiro kwerou ratiro kapo ni udew wangʼ ji.
He doth surely reprove you, if in secret ye accept faces.
11 Donge tekone biro goyou gi kihondko? Donge mbi mare biro bwogou?
Doth not His excellency terrify you? And His dread fall upon you?
12 Ngeche muthoro mangʼenygo onge tich mana ka buch kendo; wecheu yomyom mana ka agulni mag lowo.
Your remembrances [are] similes of ashes, For high places of clay your heights.
13 “Lingʼuru kendo weyauru awuo; mondo gima dwaro timorenano otimre.
Keep silent from me, and I speak, And pass over me doth what?
14 Angʼo madimi abed e chandruok, ka atiyo gi ngimana mana kaka an ema ahero?
Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth? And my soul put in my hand?
15 Kata ka onega, to pod abiro keto genona kuome; omiyo pod abiro mana wacho wechena e nyime.
Lo, He doth slay me — I wait not! Only, my ways unto His face I argue.
16 Chutho, mano ema biro kelona resruok nikech onge ngʼama okia Nyasaye, manyalo hedhore michopi e nyime.
Also — He [is] to me for salvation, For the profane cometh not before Him.
17 Chik iti mos mondo iwinj wechena; kendo yie mondo iwinj gik ma awacho.
Hear ye diligently my word, And my declaration with your ears.
18 Kaka koro aseikora dwoko wach makora, angʼeyo ni ubiro kwana kaka ngʼama kare.
Lo, I pray you, I have set in order the cause, I have known that I am righteous.
19 Bende ngʼato kuomu nyalo donjona ni an jaketho? Ka en kamano, to abiro lingʼ kendo kata tho ayie tho.
Who [is] he that doth strive with me? For now I keep silent and gasp.
20 “Yaye Nyasaye, yie itimna mana gik moko ariyogi mondo kik apondni.
Only two things, O God, do with me: Then from Thy face I am not hidden.
21 Gol lweti oko kuoma kendo iyie igolna masichegi mabwoga.
Thy hand put far off from me, And Thy terror let not terrify me.
22 Eka iluonga e nyimi kendo abiro dwoki, kata iyiena awuo mondo idwoka.
And call Thou, and I — I answer, Or — I speak, and answer Thou me.
23 Richo gi ketho adi ma asetimo? Nyisa kethona gi richona.
How many iniquities and sins have I? My transgression and my sin let me know.
24 Angʼo momiyo ipando wangʼi kendo ikawa kaka jasiki?
Why dost Thou hide Thy face? And reckonest me for an enemy to Thee?
25 It yien ayiena ma yamo teroni to isando nangʼo? Mihudhi motwo ma yamo tero, to ilawo nangʼo?
A leaf driven away dost Thou terrify? And the dry stubble dost Thou pursue?
26 Idonjona gi weche malit, moriw koda ka richo mane atimo kapod an rawera.
For Thou writest against me bitter things, And causest me to possess iniquities of my youth:
27 Irido tiendena gi nyororo; kendo iluwo bangʼa e yorena maluwo duto, koketo kido e bwo tienda mondo onyis kamoro amora maluwo.
And puttest in the stocks my feet, And observest all my paths, On the roots of my feet Thou settest a print,
28 “Omiyo koro dhano rumo mos mos kaka gima otop, mana ka nanga ma olwenda ochamo.”
And he, as a rotten thing, weareth away, As a garment hath a moth consumed him.
