< Isaya 21 >

1 Wach mokor kuom piny Ongoro manie dho Nam: Mana kaka kalausi mager kudho koluwo piny man yo milambo, e kaka joma monjou biro wuok e piny motwo, piny masira.
The doom of the desert by the sea. As tempests in the south blow with fury; so doth it come from the desert, from a terrible land.
2 Fweny malich osenyisa ni: Jandhoko biro ndhoko, to jayeko biro yeko. Elam mondo omonje! Media mondo olwore koni gi koni! Abiro tieko lit duto mane okelo.
A hard vision hath been told unto me; the traitor dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. “Go up, O 'Elam; besiege, O Media;” all sighing have I caused to cease.
3 Kaneno magi to apuodora ka rem rama e ringra, rem rama mana ka dhako mamuoch kayo; kibaji goya kuom gik mawinjo kendo midhiero omaka kuom gik ma aneno.
Therefore are my loins filled with pain; pangs have seized me, like the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I am too much cramped to hear; I am too much dismayed to see.
4 Chunya bwok, denda tetni nikech luoro; gombo ma an-go mondo piny imre oselokorena masira.
My heart wandereth astray, dread affrighteth me: the evening of my pleasure hath he turned unto me into terror.
5 Negiiko mesa mondo gimethi kendo gichiem, to apoya nono negipo kinyisogi, ni mondo giik gigegi mag lweny.
Prepare the table, put on the candlesticks, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.
6 Ruoth Nyasaye wachona niya, “Dhiyo mondo iket jangʼicho mondo odwok wach kuom gik moneno.
For thus hath said unto me the Lord, Go, set the watchman, what he seeth let him tell.
7 Ka oneno geche lweny miywayo gi farese, gi joma oidho punde kata ngamia, to oikre kendo obed motangʼ.”
And he will see chariots, horsemen in couples, riders on asses, riders on camels; and he shall listen diligently with much heed:
8 Kendo jangʼicho nokok niya, “Yaye Ruoth Nyasacha pile ka pile asebedo kar ngʼicho, kendo otieno asiko e kara mar tich.
And he calleth [like] a lion, Upon the watchtower, O Lord, do I stand continually in the daytime, and on my ward am I set all the nights.
9 Ero ngʼato biro koidho gach lweny miywayo gi farese. To ngʼatno nowacho niya, ‘Babulon osepodho, adier osepodho, adier osepodho, kendo nyisechene manono osetur matindo tindo!’”
And, behold, here cometh a chariot with men, horsemen in couples, and he commenceth and saith, Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the graven images of her gods hath he shivered unto the ground.
10 Yaye ogandana mosenyon piny ka cham midino anyisou gima asewinjo koa kuom Jehova Nyasaye Maratego, ma Nyasach Israel.
O my down-trodden [people, ] and the son of my threshingfloor: that which I have heard from the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have I told unto you.
11 Wach mokor kuom Duma: Ngʼato obiro ira koa Seir, kendo openja monwore niya, “Jarito odongʼ seche adi mondo piny oru? Jarito odongʼ seche adi mondo piny oru?”
The doom of Dumah. Unto me one calleth out of Se'ir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
12 Eka jarito nodwoko niya, “Piny chiegni ru, to otieno bende biro chopo. Kidwaro penjo, to penji kendo imed penjo.”
The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will desire, desire ye; return, come again.
13 Wach mokor kuom jo-Arabu: Un jo-Dedan ma jo-ohala mawuotho ka gi kacha ka bworo e thim jo-Arabu,
The doom upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye caravans of Dedanim.
14 keluru pi ne joma riyo oloyo, to un mudak Tema, keluru chiemo ne joma oseringo ka pondone lweny.
Toward him that is thirsty they bring water; the inhabitants of the land of Thema meet with suitable bread the fugitive.
15 Giseringone ligangla, ne ligangla mowuodhi, ne atungʼ moywa kendo ne lweny mager.
Because from the swords are they fled, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the pressure of war.
16 Ruoth Nyasaye wachona niya, “Mana kaka ja-otongʼo kwano hike achiel ma tije rumogo e kaka duongʼ mar Kedar norum.
For thus hath said the Lord unto me, Within yet one year, like the years of a hired laborer, shall all the glory of Kedar be at an end:
17 Joma nok ma gin jolweny mag asere ma gin thuondi man Kedar ema notony. Jehova Nyasaye ma en Nyasach Israel osewacho.”
And the residue of the number of bows of the mighty men of the children of Kedar shall be small; for the Lord the God of Israel hath spoken it.
