< Hosea 14 >
1 Dwoguru ir Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachu, yaye Israel. Richou ema osemiyo upodho.
O Israel, return unto Jehovah thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
2 Kaw wechegi kendo uduog ir Jehova Nyasaye! Wachne kama: “Wenwa richowa duto, kendo yie irwakwa gi ngʼwono, mi wanapaki gi dhowa.
Take with you words, and return unto Jehovah: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and accept that which is good: so will we render [as] bullocks [the offering of] our lips.
3 Asuria ok nyal resowa, bende ok wana idhi faresegi mag lweny. Ok wanachak wawach kendo ni, ‘Nyisechewa’ ne gik mwaloso gi lwetwa wawegi, nimar kuomi, ema, nyithi kiye yude kech.”
Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, [Ye are] our gods; for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.
4 “Anachang-gi kuom baro margi mane gibarogo, kendo anahergi maonge achuna, nimar mirimba osewuok kuomgi.
I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for mine anger is turned away from him.
5 Anachal mana ka thoo mar okinyi ne Israel; kendo nolodhi mana ka ondanyo, kendo tiende nokar mana ka yiend Lebanon;
I will be as the dew unto Israel; he shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.
6 bade nolodhi makee. Enobed maber ka yiend zeituni, kendo nodungʼ mangʼwe ngʼar ka yiend Lebanon.
His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, and his smell as Lebanon.
7 Ji nochak odag e tipone. Nonyaa maber mana ka cham, kendo nonyag maber ka mzabibu mi nobed gi huma ka divai moa Lebanon.
They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive [as] the grain, and blossom as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
8 Yaye Efraim en angʼo ma datim gi nyiseche manonogi kendo? Anadwoke kendo rite, achalo gi obudo mangʼich, nyak mari aa kuoma.”
Ephraim [shall say], What have I to do any more with idols? I have answered, and will regard him: I am like a green fir-tree; from me is thy fruit found.
9 En ngʼat mane mariek? Obiro fwenyo tiend gigi. En ngʼat mane manyalo fwenyo tiend wechegi? Obiro ngʼeyogi. Yore mag Jehova Nyasaye nikare, joma nikare ema wuothoe, to joma jendeke to chwanyore.
Who is wise, that he may understand these things? prudent, that he may know them? for the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them; but transgressors shall fall therein.
