< Ezekiel 24 >
1 Tarik apar, dwe mar apar, e higa mar ochiko, wach Jehova Nyasaye nobirona kama:
Again, in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2 Wuod dhano, ndik tarigni piny, nikech ruodh Babulon oseluoro Jerusalem kawuononi.
“Son of man, write the name of the day, this same day. The king of Babylon drew close to Jerusalem this same day.
3 Gone oganda mohero ngʼanyoni ngeroni, kendo wach nigi ni ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto wacho: “‘Ket aguch tedo e kendo; kendo iol pi e iye.
Utter a parable to the rebellious house, and tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says, “Put the cauldron on the fire. Put it on, and also pour water into it.
4 Ket ringʼo mosengʼadi matindo tindo e iye, ringʼo machwe duto; ma gin em gi bat. Pongʼe gi choke machwe duto;
Gather its pieces into it, even every good piece: the thigh and the shoulder. Fill it with the choice bones.
5 kendo yier chiayo mopugno mogik ei kweth. Chan yiende mabeyo e bwoye ni chokego; eka chwakeuru maber, mondo ochiegi maber nyak choke.
Take the choice of the flock, and also a pile of wood for the bones under the cauldron. Make it boil well. Yes, let its bones be boiled within it.”
6 “‘Nikech ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto wacho: “‘Okwongʼ dala maduongʼ michweroe remo, ma en agulu motimo chilo, agulu ma chinde ok bi rumo. Goluru ringʼo duto e iye achiel kachiel ma ok uweyo moro e iye kata matin.
“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the bloody city, to the cauldron whose rust is in it, and whose rust hasn’t gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece without casting lots for it.
7 “‘Nikech remo mane ochwero ni kuome: ne oole e lwanda nono; ne ok oole e lowo, kama buru ne nyalo ume.
“‘“For the blood she shed is in the middle of her. She set it on the bare rock. She didn’t pour it on the ground, to cover it with dust.
8 An bende aseweyo rembeno ewi lwandano ma ok oume mondo owangʼ iya, mi achul kuor.
That it may cause wrath to come up to take vengeance, I have set her blood on the bare rock, that it should not be covered.”
9 “‘Kuom mano, ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto owacho: “‘Okwongʼ dala maduongʼ machwero remo! An bende abiro chanone yiende modhi malo.
“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the pile great.
10 Omiyo chan yien kendo imok mach. Ted ringʼono maber, kiriwe gi apilo; kendo ne ni chokegi otedore maber.
Heap on the wood. Make the fire hot. Boil the meat well. Make the broth thick, and let the bones be burned.
11 Eka iketi agulu ma iye ninono ewi makaa mi odok maliet kendo nyinje lokre makwar, mondo omi chilone duto oleny oko kendo chinde wangʼ marum.
Then set it empty on its coals, that it may be hot, and its bronze may burn, and that its filthiness may be molten in it, that its rust may be consumed.
12 Asetemo konye motamore; chilo momoko kuome pek ma ok wuogi, kata wangʼ gi mach.
She is weary with toil; yet her great rust, rust by fire, doesn’t leave her.
13 “‘Timbeni mag chode osemiyo ibet modwanyore. Ne atemo luoki, to ne ok inyal bedo maler, koro ok ibi bedo maler nyaka mirimba mochomi rum.
“‘“In your filthiness is lewdness. Because I have cleansed you and you weren’t cleansed, you won’t be cleansed from your filthiness any more, until I have caused my wrath toward you to rest.
14 “‘An Jehova Nyasaye ema asewacho kamano. Sa osechopo mondo ati tija monego atim. Ok abi kechi; ok abi ngʼwononi, bende ok abi lokora. Ibiro ngʼadni bura kaluwore gi timbeni gi yoreni, Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto ema owacho.’”
“‘“I, the LORD, have spoken it. It will happen, and I will do it. I won’t go back. I won’t spare. I won’t repent. According to your ways and according to your doings, they will judge you,” says the Lord GOD.’”
15 Wach Jehova Nyasaye nobirona kama:
Also the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
16 “Wuod dhano, abiro mayi ngʼat ma chunyi ohero ahinya apoya nono. Kik ingʼur, kik iywagi bende pi wangʼi kik chwer.
“Son of man, behold, I will take away from you the desire of your eyes with one stroke; yet you shall neither mourn nor weep, neither shall your tears run down.
17 Chunyi to inyalo omo aoma mos, to kik itim timbe mag ywak kaka wuotho gi wich nono, wuotho gi tielo nono maonge wuoche bende kik ium lela wangʼi kendo kik icham chiemb liel.”
Sigh, but not aloud. Make no mourning for the dead. Bind your headdress on you, and put your sandals on your feet. Don’t cover your lips, and don’t eat mourner’s bread.”
18 Omiyo ne awuoyo gi ji gokinyi, to godhiambono chiega notho. Kinyne gokinyi ne atimo kaka ne osechika mondo atim.
So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died. So I did in the morning as I was commanded.
19 Eka ji nopenja niya, “Donge inyalo nyisowae yo ma gik mitimogi omakowago?”
The people asked me, “Won’t you tell us what these things mean to us, that you act like this?”
20 Omiyo ne awachonegi niya, “Wach Jehova Nyasaye nobirona kama:
Then I said to them, “The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
21 Wachne dhood Israel ni, ‘Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto owacho: Achiegni ketho kara maler mar lemo ma en kama sungau nitie, momako wengeu, kendo muhero gi lala. Yawuotu gi nyiu muweyo chien biro podho e dho ligangla.
‘Speak to the house of Israel, “The Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind will fall by the sword.
22 Ubiro timo kaka asetimo. Ok ubi umo lela wengeu kata chamo chiemb liel.
You will do as I have done. You won’t cover your lips or eat mourner’s bread.
23 Ubiro rwako arwaka kilembau ewiu kaka pile, kod pat pat magu e tiendeu. Ok ubi ywak kata goyo nduru, to chira biro makou kendo ubiro chur nikech richou.
Your turbans will be on your heads, and your sandals on your feet. You won’t mourn or weep; but you will pine away in your iniquities, and moan one toward another.
24 Ezekiel biro bedonu ranyisi; ubiro timo mana kaka osetimo. Ka mano otimore to ubiro ngʼeyo ni An e Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto.’
Thus Ezekiel will be a sign to you; according to all that he has done, you will do. When this comes, then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.’”’”
25 “To in, wuod dhano, chiengʼ ma anamagie ohinga margi, gi morgi kod duongʼ-gi; bende anamagi gima wengegi omokeno, kendo ma chunygi ohero gi lala; kaachiel gi yawuotgi kod nyigi.
“You, son of man, shouldn’t it be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their heart—their sons and their daughters—
26 Odiechiengno em ngʼat ma notony nobi iri kendo nonyisi gik mosetimore.
that in that day he who escapes will come to you, to cause you to hear it with your ears?
27 To dhogi noyawre sa nogono; mi iniwuo kode kendo ok inilingʼ. Kuom mano, inibednegi ranyisi, kendo giningʼe ni An e Jehova Nyasaye.”
In that day your mouth will be opened to him who has escaped, and you will speak and be no more mute. So you will be a sign to them. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”
