Ezekiel 16
1 Wach Jehova Nyasaye nobirona kama:
And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 “Wuod dhano, nyis Jerusalem timbene mamono duto e wangʼe,
Son of man, make known unto Jerusalem her abominations,
3 kendo wachne ni ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto wacho ni Jerusalem: ‘Kweregi nonywol e piny Kanaan, kendo wuonu ne en ja-Amor, to minu ne ja-Hiti.
And thou shalt say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal unto Jerusalem, Thy origin and thy birth are out of the land of Canaan: thy father was an Emorite, and thy mother a Hittite.
4 Odiechiengʼ mane onywolie, pendi ne ok ongʼadi, kata luok ne ok olwoki gi pi mondo ibed maler, to bende ne ok owiri gi chumbi kendo ne ok oboyi gi lewni.
And as for thy birth, on the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, nor wast thou washed in water to he cleansed; and thou wast not rubbed with salt, nor wrapt in swaddling clothes.
5 Onge ngʼama nokechi kata mane nigi ngʼwono moromo mar timoni achiel kuom gigi. Kar yudo kech to ne odiri oko e pap, nikech odiechiengʼ mane onywolie ema ne ochak chayie.
No eye looked with pity on thee, to do any of these things unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out on the open field, with a loathing of thy body, on the day that thou wast born.
6 “‘Chiengʼ moro kane akalo machiegni kodi ne ayudo ka ithachori gi rembi iwuon kendo kata obedo ni nitimo remo kamano to ne awachoni ni ibed mangima.
But I passed then by thee, and I saw thee stained with thy own blood, and I said unto thee, In thy blood, live; yea, I said unto thee, In thy blood, live.
7 Ne amiyo idongo ka yien mopidhi e puodho. Ne idongo kendo ne ibedo motegno, mine idoko yath motegno kendo ma jaber moloyo yedhe duto. Thundeni nobiro, kendo yie wiyi nodongo mabeyo, to kata kamano ne in duk thirith.
Myriads, like the vegetation of the field, did I make of thee, and thou didst increase and become great, and thou attainedst the highest attractions: with thy breasts developed, and thy hair full grown; but thou wast still naked and bare.
8 “‘Bangʼe ne achako akalo machiegni, kendo kane arangi to ne aneno ni ne isebedo mopongʼ moromo hero, omiyo ne ayaro bath nangana mi aumogo dugi. Natimo kodi singruok kakwongʼora midoko mara, Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto owacho.
But I passed then by thee, and saw thee, and, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread the skirt of my garment over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I swore unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord Eternal, and thou becamest mine.
9 “‘Bangʼe ne aluoki gi pi kendo ne arudho remo mane omieni mi awiri gi mo.
Then did I bathe thee with water, yea, I thoroughly washed away thy blood from thee; and I anointed thee with oil.
10 Ne arwaki gi lewni mogorie gik mabeyo kendo ne arwakoni wuoche akada mayom. Ne arwakoni law mayom kendo ne aumi gi lewni ma nengogi tek.
I clothed thee also with broidered work, and made thee shoes of badger's skin, and I placed on thy head a turban of fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
11 Ne amiyi tigo ma nengogi tek kaka: Bangli e bedeni kod tigo ne aliero e ngʼuti,
And I decked thee with ornaments, and I placed bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain around thy neck.
12 kendo ne aketo tere e umi, gi sitadi e iti koni gi koni, bangʼe to ne asidhoni osimbo ma jaber e wiyi.
And I placed a ring on thy nose, and earrings in thy ears, and a crown of splendor on thy head.
13 Omiyo ne ilichori gi fedha kod dhahabu, kendo lepi nolosi gi usi mayom gi usi mapek ma nengone tek kod nanga mogorie gik mabeyo. Chiembi to ne mogo moreg mayom gi mor kich kod mor zeituni. Ne imedo bedo dhako ma jaber manomiyo ibedo ruoth madhako.
Thus wast thou ornamented with gold and silver; and thy garments were of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; fine flour, and honey, and oil didst thou eat: and thou wast exceedingly beautiful, and thou didst succeed to acquire dominion.
14 Kendo humbi nolandore e pinje kuom ber mane ibergo, nikech duongʼ mane amiyi nomiyo berni oromo chuth, Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto osewacho.
And thy fame went forth among the nations because of thy beauty; for it was perfect through my glorious ornament, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord Eternal.
15 “‘To ne igeno kuom berni, kendo ne ikonyori gi huma mari mondo ibedgo ochot. Ne ilokori ochot mochiwore ni ngʼato angʼata makadho machiegni kendo berni nodoko mare.
But thou didst trust in thy beauty, and play the harlot because of thy fame, and lavish thy lewd caresses on every one that passed by—on him they were bestowed.
16 Ne ikawo moko kuom lewni mabeyo mane amiyi mi idhi ipedho kuonde motingʼore gi malo, kuma ne itime timbegi mag chode. Gik ma kamago ne pok owinji, kendo ok owinjore gitimre ngangʼ.
And thou didst take from thy garments, and deck thee high-places with divers colors, and play the harlot thereupon: never should the like come to pass, and never should it be so.
17 Gik ma nengogi tek molos gi dhahabu gi fedha mane amiyi bende ne ikawo mi ilosogo nyisechegi machwo mondo ichodi.
And thou didst take thy elegant ornaments of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and make for thyself male images, and play the harlot with them;
18 Kendo ne ikawo lepi mogorie gik mabeyo mi irwakonegi kendo ne iketo moya gi ubanina e nyimgi.
And thou didst take thy broidered garments, and cover them: and my oil and my incense didst thou place before them.
19 Bende, chiemo ma An awuon ema ne amiyi kaka mogo mayom, mor zeituni kod mor kich mane amiyi mondo icham mi ichiwonegi kaka misango madungʼ tik mangʼwe ngʼar. Mano e gima notimore, Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto osewacho.
And my bread which I had given thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, which I had let thee eat, even this didst thou set before them for a sweet savour: yes, so was it, saith the Lord Eternal.
20 “‘Bende ne ikawo yawuoti gi nyigi mane inywolona mi ichiwogi kaka misango ni nyisechegi. Timbegi mag chode ne ok oromi?
And thou didst take thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hadst born unto me, and didst slaughter these unto them to be devoured; [but] were thy acts of lewdness not yet enough?
21 Ne iyangʼo nyithinda kendo ichiwogi kaka misango ne nyiseche ma dhano oloso.
That thou didst slay my children, and give them up to cause them to pass through the fire for them?
22 Kuom timbeni duto mamono gi chode mane idonje, ne ok iparo ndalo mane pod itin, kindego mane in duk, kane ayudi ka remo olwoki.
And in all thy abominations and thy acts of lewdness thou didst not remember the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, when thou wast stained with thy blood.
23 “‘Bangʼ timbeni mamonogo duto, Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto wacho niya, yaye, yaye in ngʼama okwongʼ! Kaachiel gi kethogi mamoko duto,
And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, —[woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord Eternal; ]—
24 ne iloso ni in iwuon kama otingʼore gi malo kendo ne igero kuonde motingʼore gi malo mag kamoro amora.
That thou didst build unto thyself eminences, and make thyself elevations in every street.
25 E nyim yore duto mag dala, ne igeroe kuonde motingʼore gi malo ma ilame nyisecheni mine injawo berni, kane ichiwo dendi ne ngʼato angʼata mane kadho buti nikech ringri nomedo oowre ni terruok.
On the corner of every road didst thou build thy elevations, and make thy beauty abominable, and spread out thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiply thy acts of lewdness.
26 Ne iterori gi jo-Misri, jo-libambani mane oowore ni chode, mine imedo miya mirima, nikech ringri ne omedo oowore ne terruok.
And thou didst play the harlot with the Egyptians, thy neighbors, with large limbs, and multiply thy acts of lewdness, to provoke me to anger.
27 Omiyo ne amiyi kum mi adiyo kiewo mari; ne ajwangʼou e lwet wasiki ma jowuoro, ma gin nyi jo-Filistia, kendo gin bende timbegi manjore nobwogogi.
And, behold, I stretched out my hand over thee, and diminished thy stated portion; and I gave thee up unto the will of those that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, who were made to blush for thy incestuous course.
28 Jo-Asuria bende ni iterorigo, nikech gombo mari nokalo konyo, kendo kata gin bende ne ok giromi.
Then didst thou play the harlot with the sons of Asshur, because thou wast unsatiable: yea, thou didst play the harlot with them, and wast even then not satisfied.
29 Bangʼe, gomboni mandhaga ne oywayi mi iterori nyaka gi jo-Babulon, ma gin johala madongo, to kata gin bende ne ok giromi.
And thou didst multiply thy lewdness with the traders' land as far as Chaldea; and even with this wast thou not satisfied.
30 “‘Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto owacho ni mano kaka nenore ni chunyi ok nigi chandruok kuom timbe mitimogi duto, kibedo ochot ma wangʼe tek!
How very corrupt is thy heart, saith the Lord Eternal, seeing thou didst all these things, deeds of an abandoned lewd woman;
31 Kane iloso ni in iwuon kuonde motingʼore gi malo e akek yore duto mag dala kendo igero ni iwuon kuonde motingʼore mag lemo kamoro amora, to in ne ok ichalo gi ochot, nikech ne ok idwaro chudo moro amora.
Seeing that thou didst build thy eminences at the corner of every road, and make thy elevations in every street; and wast not like a harlot, as thou scornedst the wages.
32 “‘In dhako ma jachodeni! Igeno chwo mamoko moloyo chwori iwuon!
O thou adulterous wife! who, while bound to her husband, receiveth strangers!
33 Ochode duto ichulo, to in to ichiwo mich ni joma terore kodi duto, kendo imiyogi asoya mondo gibi iri eka gichopni dwarogi maricho.
Unto all harlots they give presents; but thou hast given thy presents to all thy lovers, and hast bribed them, that they might come unto thee from every side in thy acts of lewdness.
34 Omiyo kit terruok mari opogore adier gi terruok mag ji mamoko, nikech in ok chwo manyi mondo ichopnegi gombogi. Ipogori ndi, nikech in ema ichulo ji mondo oterre kodi to in ok gichuli.
And the reverse was the case with thee from [other] women in thy acts of lewdness, that men did not follow thee to seek thy lewd caresses; and because thou gavest the wages, and no wages were given thee: so was it the reverse with thee.
35 “‘Kuom mano, in ochot, winj wach Jehova Nyasaye!
Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of the Lord!
36 Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto wacho: Nikech ne ibedo gi gombo mi ilonyori duk michiwo ringre ka dhako ma jachode ni joherani, kendo ni nyisecheni mamono makwero, bende ne inego nyithindi ka misango ni nyisechegi manonogo,
Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Whereas thy wealth was squandered, and thy nakedness was uncovered through thy lewd acts with thy lovers, and with all thy abominable idols, and for the blood of thy children, whom thou didst give unto them:
37 mano emomiyo abiro choko joherani duto mosemiyi mor, moriwo ji duto mane ihero nyaka mane ichayo. Abiro chokogi kendo abiro ketogi mondo gilwori koni gi koni, bangʼe to alonyi duk e nyimgi duto, kendo ginine dugi.
Therefore, behold, I will gather all thy lovers, whom thou hast given pleasure, and all whom thou hast loved, together with all whom thou hast hated, —yea, I will gather them all round about thee, and will uncover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
38 Abiro ngʼadoni buch kum mikumogo mon machodo kendo machwero remo, kendo abiro chuli kuor mar remo mar mirimba gi nyieka mager.
And I will judge thee, as adulteresses and women that shed blood are judged; and I will bring upon thee the blood of fury and jealousy.
39 Ka asetimoni kamano to abiro boli e lwet joherani kendo gibiro muko thucheni kod kuondeni motingʼore gi malo milame nyisechegi. Gibiro lonyo lepi mi giweyi duk, kendo gibiro kawo kitegi ma nengogi tek mi giweyi duk.
And I will also give thee up into their hand, and they shall pull down thy eminences, and shall break down thy elevations; and they shall strip thee of thy clothes, and they shall take thy elegant ornaments, and leave thee naked and bare.
40 Gibiro chokoni jo-jendeke mi gichielgi gi kite kendo gibiro tongʼi matindo tindo gi liganglagi.
And they shall bring up against thee an assembly, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords;
41 Gibiro wangʼo uteni kendo gibiro kumi e nyim mon mangʼeny. Abiro tieko timbegi mag chode kendo ok inichak ichul joherani.
And they shall burn thy houses with fire, and execute punishments on thee before the eyes of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from being a harlot, and also the wages [of sin] shalt thou not give any more.
42 Eka bangʼe mirimba biro rumo kendo nyiego mara mager biro weyi; chunya biro lendo kendo mirimba biro rumo.
And then will I assuage my fury on thee, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.
43 “‘Nikech ne ok iparo ndalo mane pod itin, to ne iwangʼo iya gi gigi duto, omiyo abiro kumi, Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto owacho. Donge timbegi duto mamono ne imedo gi dwanyruok?
Because that thou didst not remember the days of thy youth, but didst irritate me with all these things: behold, therefore I also will bring thy course upon thy head, saith the Lord Eternal, and thou shalt no more commit incest with all thy [other] abominations.
44 “‘Ngero migoyo e piny Israel ni, “Nyako okawo kit min, nowach kuomi.”
Behold, every one that speaketh in proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As the mother is, so is her daughter.
45 In nyar minu adier, nikech minu nochayo chwore gi nyithinde; kendo ichal gi nyimineni adier, nikech nyimineni bende nochayo chwogi gi nyithindgi. Minu ne en ja-Hiti to wuonu ne en ja-Amor.
Thou art thy mother's daughter, loathing her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, who have loathed their husbands and their children: your mother was a Hittite, and your father an Emorite.
46 Nyaminu maduongʼ ne en Samaria, mane odak gi nyige yo Nyandwat; to nyaminu matin, mane odak gi nyige yo milambo, ne en Sodom.
And thy elder sister is Samaria, she with her daughters, that dwelleth at thy left hand, and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom with her daughters.
47 Ok ne iwuotho e yoreni kendo iluwo timbeni mamono, to ne ikethori moloyogi mapiyo nono kuom timbeni duto mobam.
Yet not even in their ways didst thou walk, nor act according to their abominations: as though this were quite too little, and thou wast more corrupt than they in all thy ways.
48 Akwongʼora gi nyinga awuon an Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto ni kata mana nyameru ma Sodom gi nyige ne ok otimo gik maricho machal gi gik ma in kod nyigi usetimoni.
As I live, saith the Lord Eternal, Sodom thy sister, she with her daughters, hath not done as thou hast done, thou with thy daughters.
49 “‘Koro ma e richo mane nyameru ma Sodom otimo. En kod nyige ne wigi tek kendo ne giyiengʼ ahinya ma ok gidew jomoko machandore. Ne ok gikonyo joma odhier gi joma ni gidwaro.
Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom: Pride, abundance of food, and prosperous security were hers and her daughters'; but the hand of the poor and needy did she not strengthen.
50 Ne gin jongʼayi kendo negitimo gik mamono e nyima. Emomiyo ne ariembogi e nyima kaka useneno atimoni.
And they became haughty, and committed abominations before me: therefore did I remove them when I saw their course.
51 Kata mana jo-Samaria to ne ok otimo kata mana nus mar richo ma usetimoni. Usetimo gik mamono mathoth mohingogi, kendo usemiyo nyimineu onenore ka gima gin joma kare nikech gik musetimogi duto.
And Samaria hath not committed even the half of thy sins; but thou didst multiply thy abominations more than they; and thou hast justified thy sisters through all thy abominations which thou hast done.
52 Kuom mano, tingʼ wichkuot mari kendi, nikech isegonyo nyiminegi mobedo thuolo kaka joma beyo moloyi. Nikech richogi ne richo moloyo mag-gi, omiyo koro ginenore joma kare mohingi. Omiyo koro ne wichkuot kendo tingʼ achaya mochayigo kendi iwuon, nikech in ema isemiyo nyiminegi onenore joma kare moloyi.
Bear then thou also thy own confusion, which thou didst adjudge unto each of thy sisters; through thy sins, which thou hast committed more abominably than they, are they made more righteous than thou: therefore thou also—be ashamed, and bear thy confusion, since thou hast justified thy sisters.
53 “‘To kata kamano, abiro dwoko ne Sodom gi nyige mwanduge, kendo mwandu Samaria gi nyige bende abiro dwoko nigi, kod mwandugi bende abiro dwokoni kaachiel kodgi,
And I will bring back again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, and the captivity of the captives in the midst of them:
54 mondo itingʼ achaya mari kendo ine wichkuot kuom gik moko duto misetimo kuom miyogi hoch.
In order that thou mayest bear thy confusion, and mayest be confounded because of all that thou hast done, when thou art a comfort unto them.
55 Nyimineni ma gin Sodom gi nyige kod Samaria gi nyige, biro lokore mi gibed gima ne gin chon; kendo in bende, kaachiel gi nyigi ibiro lokori mi ibed kaka ne ichalo chon.
And thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former state, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former state, and thou and thy daughters shall return to your former state.
56 Ne ok inyal kata luongo nying nyameru ma Sodom gi nyinge e kinde mane sunga omaki,
And was not thy sister Sodom a report in thy mouth in the days of thy pride,
57 kane timbeni maricho pok oel. To kata kamano, sani koro ochayi gi nyi Edom kaachiel gi joma odak bute kod nyi jo-Filistia, jogo duto modak e alwora mari ochayi.
Before yet thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of the reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all those round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, who taunted thee on all sides?
58 Ibiro tingʼo chandruok duto mosebironi nikech timbeni mamono kendo nikech timbeni moyombore, Jehova Nyasaye osewacho.
Thy incest and thy abominations, —thou thyself hadst to bear them, saith the Lord.
59 “‘Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto wacho: Abiro tiyo kodi kaluwore gi gima onego iyudi, nikech iseketho winjruok mane an-go kodi kuom ketho singruok.
For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, thou who hast despised the oath by breaking the covenant.
60 Kata kamano, pod abiro paro singruok mane atimo kodi kane pod itin, kendo abiro guro singruok mosiko kodi.
Nevertheless will I indeed remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.
61 Eka inipar yoreni mi wiyi kuodi, kendo inirwak nyimineni madongo mohingi kod matindoni. Anamiyigi kaka nyigi, to ok natim kamano kotenore kuom singruok mara kodi.
And thou shalt then remember thy ways, and be confounded, when thou receivest thy sisters, both those that are older than thou and younger than thou: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, though not because thou wast faithful to the covenant.
62 Omiyo abiro guro singruok mara kodi, kendo ibiro ngʼeyo ni An e Jehova Nyasaye.
And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord:
63 Bangʼe ka aseweyonu richou kuom gik moko duto musetimo, to ubiro paro kendo wiu biro kuot, kendo ok unuchak uwuo kendo nikech unuyie ni ok unyal, Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto owacho.’”
In order that thou mayest remember, and feel ashamed, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy confusion, when I forgive thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord Eternal.
