< 2 Ruodhi 24 >

1 E ndalo loch Jehoyakim, Nebukadneza ruodh Babulon nomonjo piny kendo Jehoyakim nobedo e bwo lochne kuom higni adek. To bangʼe noloko pache mokwedo Nebukadneza.
In his days, came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, —and Jehoiakim became his servant three years, then turned he and rebelled against him.
2 Jehova Nyasaye nooro jo-Babulon, jo-Aram, jo-Moab kod jo-Amon mondo omonj ruoth Jehoyakim. Ne oorogi mondo otiek Juda, kaluwore gi wach mane Jehova Nyasaye owacho kokalo kuom jotichne ma jonabi.
And Yahweh sent against him troops of Chaldeans, and troops of Syrians, and troops of Moabites, and troops of the sons of Ammon, yea he sent them against Judah, to destroy him, —according to the word of Yahweh, which he spake through his servants the prophets.
3 Kuom adier gigi notimore ne Juda mana kaka Jehova Nyasaye nochiko, mondo mi ogolgi e nyime nikech richo mar Manase kod gik moko duto mane osetimo,
Surely, it was, because of the anger of Yahweh, that this came upon Judah, to remove them from his presence, —for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done:
4 kaachiel gichwero remo maonge ketho. Jehova Nyasaye ne ok oikore mar weyone richone nikech nosechwero remo maonge ketho mopongʼogo Jerusalem.
moreover also, for the innocent blood that he had shed, so that he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, —which Yahweh was not willing to pardon.
5 Kuom gik mamoko duto mag ndalo loch Jehoyakim kod gik moko duto mane otimo, donge ondikgi e kitepe mag weche ruodhi mag Juda?
Now, the rest of the story of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
6 Jehoyakim notho moyweyo gi kwerene, kendo Jehoyakin wuode nobedo ruoth kare.
So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers, —and, Jehoiachin his son, reigned, in his stead.
7 Ruodh Misri ne ok owuok kendo e pinye nikech ruodh Babulon nokawo tongʼ mage duto chakre Wadi manie piny Misri nyaka e Aora Yufrate.
And the king of Egypt came no more again out of his land, —for the king of Babylon had taken—from the ravine of Egypt, unto the river Euphrates, all that had belonged to the king of Egypt.
8 Jehoyakin ne ja-higni apar gaboro kane odoko ruoth, kendo nobedo e loch kuom dweche adek kodak Jerusalem. Min mare ne nyinge Nehushta nyar Elnathan, ma aa Jerusalem.
Eighteen years old, was Jehoiachin when he began to reign, and, three months, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, his mother’s name, was Nehushta daughter of Elnathan, of Jerusalem.
9 Notimo timbe maricho e nyim wangʼ Jehova Nyasaye, mana kaka wuon mare notimo.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, his father, had done.
10 E kindeno jodong Nebukadneza ruoth Babulon nodonjo e Jerusalem mokawe,
At that time, came up the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem, —and the city came into the siege.
11 kendo Nebukadneza owuon nobiro nyaka dala maduongʼ ka jodonge olworo dala maduongʼno.
And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants were about to besiege it.
12 Jehoyakin ruodh Juda, min mare, jotende jodonge kod jongʼadne rieko duto nochiwore e lwet ruodh Babulon. Jehoyakin noket e twech e higa mar aboro mar Loch ruodh Babulon.
Then came out Jehoiachin king of Judah, unto the king of Babylon, he and his mother, and his servants, and his generals, and his courtiers, —and the king of Babylon took him, in the eighth year of his reign.
13 Mana kaka Jehova Nyasaye nosewacho, Nebukadneza nogolo mwandu duto mane ni e hekalu mar Jehova Nyasaye kendo e kar dak ruoth, mi okawo gik molos gi dhahabu duto mane ruoth Solomon ruodh Israel olosone hekalu mar Jehova Nyasaye.
And he carried forth from thence, all the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, —and he cut off all the fittings of gold, which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Yahweh, according to all that, Yahweh, had spoken.
14 Ruoth Nebukadneza notero jo-Jerusalem alufu apar e twech mane gin jodongo duto kod jolweny, gi joma olony e tich lwedo kod jogoro. Onge ngʼato mane odongʼ makmana joma odhier.
And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the generals, and all the mighty men of valour, ten thousand becoming captives, and all the artificers and the smiths, —none remained save the poorest of the people of the land.
15 Nebukadneza notero Jehoyakin e twech Babulon, kaachiel gi min ruoth, monde, jodonge kod jodong gwengʼ kogologi Jerusalem.
And he carried away captive Jehoiachin, to Babylon, —and, the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his courtiers, and the nobles of the land, took he away captive, from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16 Bende ruodh Babulon notero e twech jolweny duto madirom ji alufu abiriyo, kaachiel gi joma olony kuom tich lwedo kod jogoro alufu achiel; giduto ne gin roteke moromo kedo.
And, all the men of might—seven thousand, and artificers and smiths—a thousand, all who were valiant and ready to make war, the king of Babylon brought them captive to Babylon.
17 Ne oketo Matania, ma owadgi Jehoyakin mondo obed ruoth kare kendo noloko nyinge ni Zedekia.
And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, his relative, king in his stead, —and changed his name to Zedekiah.
18 Zedekia ne ja-higni piero ariyo gachiel kane obedo ruoth, kendo nobedo e loch kodak Jerusalem kuom higni apar gachiel. Min mare ne nyinge Hamutal nyar Jeremia; ma aa Libna.
Twenty-one years old, was Zedekiah when he began to reign, and, eleven years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, his mother’s name, was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
19 Ne otimo richo e nyim Jehova Nyasaye mana kaka Jehoyakim notimo.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, Jehoiakim, had done.
20 Magi duto notimore ne Jerusalem kod Juda nikech mirimb Jehova Nyasaye kendo giko to ne oriembogi oko e nyime. Koro Zedekia nongʼanyone ruodh Babulon modagi lochne.
For, it was because the anger of Yahweh had come against Jerusalem, and against Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled, against the king of Babylon.
