< 2 Weche Mag Ndalo 17 >

1 Jehoshafat wuode nobedo ruoth kare kendo nogurore motegno mondo osir Israel.
And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead, —and strengthened himself against Israel;
2 Noketo jolweny e mier mochiel duto mag Juda kendo nogero kuonde jolweny Juda kaachiel gi miech Efraim mane Asa wuon mare okawo.
and put forces in all the fortified cities of Judah, —and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had captured.
3 Jehova Nyasaye ne ni kod Jehoshafat nikech e ndaloge mokwongo nowuotho e yore mane Daudi wuon mare owuothoe. Ne ok oluwo Baal
And it came to pass, that, Yahweh, was with Jehoshaphat, —because he walked in the first ways of David his father, and sought not unto the Baalim;
4 to nomanyo Nyasach wuon mare kendo noluwo chikene kopogore gi kaka jo-Israel ne timo.
for, unto the God of his father, he sought, and, in his commandments, he walked, —and not according to the doing of Israel.
5 Jehova Nyasaye noguro lochne motegno kendo jo-Juda duto nokelo mich ni Jehoshafat mi nobedo kod mwandu mangʼeny kod huma maduongʼ.
Therefore did Yahweh establish the kingdom in his hand, and all Judah gave a present unto Jehoshaphat, —and he came to have riches and honour, in abundance.
6 Chunye nomako weche Jehova Nyasaye, to bende nogolo e Juda kuonde motingʼore gi malo mag lemo e Juda kaachiel gi sirni milamo mag Ashera.
And his heart was encouraged, in the ways of Yahweh, —and he, yet further, took away the high places and the Sacred Stems, out of Judah.
7 E higa mar adek mar lochne nooro jotelo mage kaka Ben-Hail, Obadia, Zekaria, Nethanel gi Mikaya mondo opuonj e mier mag Juda.
And, in the third year of his reign, he sent to his rulers, even to Ben-hail and to Obadiah and to Zechariah, and to Nethanel, and to Micaiah, —that they were to teach throughout the cities of Judah;
8 Kaachiel kodgi ne nitie jo-Lawi moko kaka: Shemaya gi Nethania gi Zebadia gi Asahel gi Shemiramoth gi Jehonathan gi Adonija gi Tobija kaachiel gi Tob-Adonija kod jodolo Elishama gi Jehoram.
and, with them, Levites, Shemaiah and Nethaniah and Zebadiah and Asahel and Shemiramoth and Jehonathan, and Adonijah and Tobijah and Tob-adonijah, Levites, —and, with them, Elishama and Jehoram, priests;
9 Negipuonjo e piny Juda duto ka gitingʼo Kitap Chik mar Jehova Nyasaye ka gilworore e miech Juda duto kendo ka gipuonjo ji.
and they taught throughout Judah, and, with them, was the book of the law of Yahweh, —so they went round throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
10 Luoro mar Jehova Nyasaye nomako pinyruodhi mag pinje molworo Juda, omiyo ne ok gitugo lweny kod Jehoshafat.
And it came to pass, that, the dread of Yahweh, was upon all the kingdoms of the countries, that were round about Judah, —and they warred not against Jehoshaphat.
11 Jo-Filistia nokelone Jehoshafat mich mopogore opogore to gi fedha; to jo-Arabu nokelone jamni madirom imbe alufu abiriyo gi mia abiriyo kod diek alufu abiriyo gi mia abiriyo.
And, from among the Philistines, were they bringing in unto Jehoshaphat a present, and silver as tribute, —even the Arabians, were bringing in unto him flocks, seven thousand seven hundred rams, and seven thousand seven hundred he-goats.
12 Jehoshafat nomedo bedo gi teko kendo nogero mier mochiel gohinga motegno kod mier mag keno e Juda.
And so it came to pass that, Jehoshaphat, went on waxing surpassingly great, —and he built, throughout Judah, fortresses and cities for store;
13 Kendo nokano gik moko mangʼeny e miech Juda. Noketo e Jerusalem jolweny man kod lony mangʼeny e lweny.
and, much business, had he, throughout the cities of Judah, —but, the men of war, the heroes of valour, were in Jerusalem.
14 Ma e kaka nondikgi kaluwore gi anywolagi: Koa kuom jo-Juda jotend migepe mag jolweny alufu achiel ne en Adna mane otelo ne jolweny maroteke alufu mia adek;
And, these, are the numbers of them, by their ancestral house, —To Judah, pertained rulers of thousands, Adnah the chief, and, with him, mighty men of valour, three hundred thousand;
15 maluwe ne en Jehohanan mane jatend jolweny alufu mia ariyo gi piero aboro;
and, under his direction, was Jehohanan the chief, —and, with him, two hundred and eighty thousand;
16 maluwe ne en Amasia wuod Zikri mane ochiwore kende owuon ne tij Jehova Nyasaye kendo notelo ne ji alufu mia ariyo.
and, under his direction, Amasiah son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto Yahweh, —and, with him, two hundred thousand heroes of valour.
17 Koa e dhood Benjamin ne gin Eliada, jalweny mathuon ka en gi ji alufu mia ariyo motingʼo atungʼ kod okumbni;
And, out of Benjamin, a hero of valour, Eliada, —and, with him, armed with bow and buckler, two hundred thousand;
18 maluwe ne en Jehozabad mane ni kod ji alufu mia achiel gi piero aboro moikore ne lweny.
and, under his direction, Jehozabad, —and, with him, a hundred and eighty thousand, equipped for war.
19 Magi e joge mane tiyo ne ruoth ka ok okwan jolweny mane oketo e mier madongo mochiel motegno gohinga e piny Juda duto.
These, were they who were waiting upon the king, —besides those whom the king placed in the fortified cities, throughout all Judah.
