ଲୁକ୍ 14
1 ୧ ତରେକ୍ ଜିସୁ ବିସ୍ରାମ୍ବାରେ ବଜି କାଇବାକେ ଗଟେକ୍ ପାରୁସି ନେତାର୍ ଗରେ ଗାଲା । ଆରି ସେମନ୍ ଜିସୁକେ କାଇଆଲେ ବୁଲ୍ ଦାର୍ବାକେ ଆଁକିମରାଇ ଦେକ୍ତେ ରଇଲାଇ ।
And as He went into the house of one of the chief of the pharisees to eat on the sabbath-day, and they were watching Him,
behold, there was a certain man before Him that had a dropsy.
3 ୩ ତାର୍ ପଚେ ଜିସୁ ସେ ପାରୁସି ଆରି ମସାର୍ ନିୟମ୍ ସିକାଇଦେବା ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ପାଚାର୍ଲା । “ମସାର୍ ନିୟମ୍ ଇସାବେ ବିସ୍ରାମ୍ବାରେ ଗଟେକ୍ ରଗ୍ ଅଇଲା ଲକ୍କେ ନିକ କର୍ବା ବିଦି ଆଚେ କି ନାଇ?”
And Jesus spake to the expounders of the law and to the pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath-day?
4 ୪ ମାତର୍ ସେମନ୍ କାଇଟାବଲି ମିସା ନ କଇ ଚୁପ୍ଚାପ୍ ଅଇ ରଇଲାଇ । ସେଟାର୍ ପାଇ ଜିସୁ ସେ ରଗିକେ ଚିଇଲା ଆରି ନିକ କରି ପାଟାଇ ଦେଲା ।
but they made no answer. And He took him and healed him, and sent him away:
5 ୫ ତାର୍ ପଚେ ଜିସୁ ସେମନ୍କେ ପାଚାର୍ଲା, “ବିସ୍ରାମ୍ବାରେ ତମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେଅନି ଗଟେକ୍ କାର୍ଆଲେ ନିଜର୍ ପିଲା ନଇଲେ ଗଟେକ୍ ଗରୁ କୁଇସାଲେ ଅଦ୍ରି ରଇଲେ ତାକେ ଦାପ୍ରେ ଜିକି ନ ଆନାସ୍ କି?”
and said unto them, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fall into a pit, and will not immediately draw him out even on the sabbath-day?
and they were not able to answer Him again to these things.
7 ୭ ଆରି ତେଇ କାଇବାର୍ ଆସି ରଇଲା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ନିଜର୍ ନିଜର୍ ପାଇ ମୁକିଅ ଜାଗା ବାଚି ରଇଲାଇ । ସେଟା ଜିସୁ ଦେକି କରି ସେମନ୍କେ ଏ ଉଦାଅରନ୍ ଦେଇ କଇଲା,
And He spake a parable to those that were invited, observing how they chose the chief seats, saying unto them,
8 ୮ “ଜେଡେବେଲା ତମ୍କେ କାର୍ଆଲେ ବିବାଗରେ ଜିବାକେ ଡାକ୍ବାଇ, ସେବେଲା ମୁକିଅ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ବସ୍ବା ଜାଗାଇ ଜାଇ ବସାନାଇ । କାଇକେ ବଇଲେ ସେମନ୍ ତମର୍ତେଇଅନି ବଡ୍ ଲକ୍କେ ମିସା ବିବାଟାନେ ଜିବାକେ ଡାକି ରଇବାଇ ।
When thou art invited by any one to a wedding, do not sit down in the uppermost place, least one more honorable than thou be invited by him;
9 ୯ କେ ତମ୍କେ ଆରି ବଡ୍ ଲକ୍କେ ଡାକ୍ଲା ଆଚେ ସେ ଆସିକରି ତମ୍କେ କଇସି, ‘ଆକେ ଏ ନିକ ଜାଗା ଦେସ୍’ ବଲି । ତେଇ ତମେ ଉଟି ମୁକିଅ ନଇଲା ଜାଗାଇ ଜାଇ ବସ୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ସେବେଲାଇ ତମ୍କେ ବେସି ଲାଜ୍ ଲାଗ୍ସି ।
and he who invited thee and him, should come and say to thee, Give place to this person, and then thou begin with shame to take the lowest place.
10 ୧୦ ମାତର୍ ଜେଡେବଲ୍ ତମ୍କେ ଡାକ୍ବାଇ, ସେଡ୍କିବେଲେ ତମେ ଜାଇ ମୁକିଅ ନଇଲା ଜାଗାଇ ବସା । ସେବେଲା ତକେ ଡାକ୍ଲା ଲକ୍ ଆସି କଇସି, ‘ଏ ମଇତର୍ ତୁଇ କାଇକେ ଇତି ବସିଆଚୁସ୍? ଆଉ ଏ ନିମାନ୍ ଜାଗାଇ ବସ୍’ । ସେବେଲା ତମର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ବସ୍ଲା ସବୁ ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ମୁଆଟେଅନି ଡାକିନେଇ ନିକ ଜାଗାଇ ବସାଇ ଦେଇସି । ଆରି ସବୁ ଲକର୍ ମୁଆଟେ ତମେ ସନ୍ମାନ୍ ପାଇସା ।
But when thou art invited, go and sit down at the lowest place, that, when he who invited thee cometh, he may say to thee, Friend, go up higher: then wilt thou have honor before them that sit at table with thee:
11 ୧୧ କେ ନିଜ୍କେ ବଡ୍ ଲକ୍ ବଲି ବାବ୍ଲାନି ତାକେ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ସାନ୍ କରାଇସି । ଆରି କେ ନିଜ୍କେ ସାନ୍ ଲକ୍ ବଲି ବାବ୍ସି ତାକେ ପର୍ମେସର ବଡ୍ କରାଇସି ।” ବଲି କଇଲା ।
for whosoever exalteth himself shall be humbled, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
12 ୧୨ ତାର୍ପଚେ ଜିସୁ ବଜିତେଇ ଡାକ୍ଲା ଲକ୍କେ କଇଲା, “ତୁଇ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ବଜିତେଇ ଡାକ୍ବା ବେଲାଇ ତର୍ ମଇତର୍ମନ୍କେ, ବାଇମନ୍କେ, ନିଜର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଆରି ସାଉକାର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଡାକ୍ ନାଇ । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ସେମନ୍ କେଡେବଲ୍ ମିସା ତକେ ଡାକିକରି ତୁଇ ଦେଲାପାରା ବଜି ବାଉଡାଇ ଦେଇପାରତ୍ ।
He said also to him that had invited Him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, do not invite thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kindred, nor thy rich neighbors; least they invite thee again, and so a return be made thee.
But when thou makest a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind; and thou shalt be happy;
14 ୧୪ ସେନ୍ତି କଲେ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ତକେ ଆସିର୍ବାଦ୍ କର୍ସି । କାଇକେ ବଇଲେ ଏନ୍ତାରି ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ତୁଇ ଦେଲା ବଜି ବାଉଡାଇ ଦେଇ ନାପାରତ୍ । ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଦରମ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ମଲାଟାନେଅନି ଉଟାଇଲା ବେଲେ ତକେ ପୁରୁସ୍କାର୍ ମିଲ୍ସି ।”
because they have not wherewith to requite thee: for a recompense shall be given thee at the resurrection of the just.
15 ୧୫ ଜିସୁ କଇଲା ବିସଇ ସୁନିକରି ତାର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ବଜିତେଇ କାଇବାକେ ବସି ରଇଲା ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ବିତ୍ରେଅନି ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ କଇଲା, “କେ କେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ରାଇଜେ ତାର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ବଜି କାଇବାକେ ବସ୍ବାଇ, ସେଟା ତାକର୍ ପାଇ ଗଟେକ୍ ବଡ୍ ଆସିର୍ବାଦ୍ ।”
And one of those; who sat at table with Him, hearing these things, said unto Him, Happy is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
16 ୧୬ ଜିସୁ ସେ ଲକ୍କେ କଇଲା, “ତରେକ୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ ବେସି ବଡ୍ ବଜି କଲା ।” ସେ ବଜିତେଇ ବେସି ଗତିଆମନ୍କେ ଡାକି ରଇଲା ।
Upon which He said, A certain man made a great supper and invited many;
17 ୧୭ ଆରି ରାନ୍ଦ୍ବାଟା ଟିକ୍ ଅଇଲା ପଚେ ସାଉକାର୍ ତାର୍ ଗତିଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡାକେ ଡାକି କଇଲା, “ମୁଇ ବଜିର୍ ପାଇ ଡାକ୍ଲା ଲକ୍କେ ଜାଇ କଅ, କାଇବାଟା ଅଇଗାଲାବେ କାଇବାକେ ଆସତ୍ ।”
and sent his servant at supper-time to say to them that were invited, Come, for all things are now ready.
18 ୧୮ ମାତର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ରକାମ୍ କଇଲାଇ, “ମକେ କାମ୍ ଆଚେ, ନ ଆସୁ” ବଲି । ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ କଇଲା “ମୁଇ ନୁଆ ବେଡା ଗେନ୍ଲି ଆଚି ସେ ବେଡା ଦେକ୍ବାକେ ଜିବି । ଆସି ନାପାରି, ଦୟାକରି ତର୍ ସାଉକାର୍କେ ଅଲପ୍ କଇଦେସ୍ ।”
And they all with one consent began to make excuses; the first said, I have bought a field, and I must go and see it, pray have me excused.
19 ୧୯ ଆରି ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ କଇଲା, “ମୁଇ ପାଁଚ୍ମୁଣ୍ଡ୍ ଗରୁ ଗେନ୍ଲି ଆଚି, ଗରୁମନ୍କେ କସିକରି ଦେକ୍ବାକେ ଗାଲିନି । ଆସିନାପାରି ଦୟାକରି ତର୍ ସାଉକାର୍କେ ଅଲପ୍ କଇଦେସ୍ ।”
And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and am going to try them, pray have me excused.
And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
21 ୨୧ ତାର୍ ପଚେ ସେ ଗତିଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡା ଆସି ସାଉକାର୍କେ ଏ ସବୁ କାତା ଜାନାଇଲା । ସେଟା ସୁନି ସାଉକାର୍ ବେସି ରିସାଅଇଜାଇ ତାକେ କଇଲା, “ଦାପ୍ରେ ଜାଇକରି ନଅରେ ଆରି ଗାଉଁ ମନ୍କେ ରଇଲା ଗରିବ୍, କାଣା, ଚଟା, ବଇରା ଆରି ଚେରେଙ୍ଗ୍ରଗିମନ୍କେ ଇତି ଡାକି ଆନ୍ ।”
So the servant came and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go directly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the lame, and the blind.
22 ୨୨ ସେ ଗତିଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡା ଜାଇକରି ସାଉକାର୍ କଇଲାପାରା ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଆନ୍ଲା । ତାର୍ ପଚେ ଗତିଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡା ତାର୍ ସାଉକାର୍କେ କଇଲା, “ଏ ସାଉକାର୍ ତୁଇ କଇଲା ଇସାବେ ମୁଇ ଡାକିଆନ୍ଲି । ଏଲେ ମିସା ଆରି କେତେ ଲକର୍ ପାଇ ଜାଗା ଆଚେ ।”
And the servant said, Sir, it is done according to thine order, and still there is room.
23 ୨୩ ଆରି ସାଉକାର୍ ସେ ଗତିଦାଙ୍ଗ୍ଡାକେ କଇଲା, “ଗଡର୍ ସଡକ୍ ପାଲି ରଇଲା ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଆରି ଗାଏଁ ରଇଲା ଗରିବ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଜାଇକରି ଡାକିଆନ୍ । ମର୍ ଗରେ ଲକ୍ ପୁରୁନ୍ ଅଅତ୍ ବଲି ମୁଇ ମନ୍ କଲିନି ।”
And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the high-ways and hedges, and press them to come in, that my house may be filled:
24 ୨୪ ତାର୍ପଚେ ଜିସୁ କଇଲା, “ମୁଇ ଜନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ପର୍ତୁମ୍ ଡାକିରଇଲି, ସେମନ୍ କଣ୍ଡେକ୍ ମିସା ଚାକି ନାପାରତ୍ ।”
for I tell you, that none of those men who were invited, shall taste of my supper.
Now there were great multitudes going along with Him:
26 ୨୬ “ଜେ ମର୍ ଲଗେ ଆସିକରି ନିଜର୍ ବାବା, ମାଆ, ମାଇଜି ପିଲା, ବାଇ ବଇନି ଆରି ନିଜ୍କେ ମର୍ତେଇଅନି ଅଦିକ୍ ଆଲାଦ୍ କର୍ସି, ସେ ମର୍ ସିସ୍ ଅଇନାପାରେ ।
so he turned and said to them, If any man come to me, and does not comparatively hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple.
27 ୨୭ ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ ମର୍ ପଚେ ପଚେ ଇଣ୍ଡ୍ବାର୍ଆଲେ, ତାକେ ଦିଆଅଇଲା କୁରୁସ୍ ବଇକରି ନ ଇଣ୍ଡେ ବଇଲେ, ସେ କେବେ ମର୍ ସିସ୍ ଅଇନାପାରେ ।
And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and follow me, cannot be my disciple.
28 ୨୮ ତମେ ଜଦି ଗଟେକ୍ ବଡ୍ ଗର୍ ବାନ୍ଦ୍ବାକେ ମନ୍ କଲାସ୍ନି ବଇଲେ, ବାନ୍ଦ୍ବା ଆଗ୍ତୁ କେତେକ୍ କର୍ଚ ଅଇସି ସେଟା ବସି କରି ଇସାବ୍ କର୍ସା । ଆରି ସେ ଗରର୍ ସବୁ କାମ୍ କରିସାରାଇବାକେ ତମର୍ ଲଗେ ସେତ୍କି ଡାବୁ ଆଚେକି ନାଇ ବଲି ଇସାବ୍ କରିଦେକ୍ସା ।
For who of you that hath a mind to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expence, whether he hath wherewithal to perfect it?
29 ୨୯ ତମେ ଜଦି ଇସାବ୍ କରି ନ ଦେକ୍ଲେ ଗର୍ କାମ୍ ଆରାମ୍ କରି ସାରାଇ ନାପାରାସ୍ । ସେ କାମ୍ କରି ନ ସାରାଇଲେ ତମ୍କେ ଦେକ୍ବା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଆଁସିକରି ଲାଜ୍କରି ଦେବାଇ ।
least having laid a foundation and not being able to finish,
all that see it, should deride him, saying, this man began to build and was not able to finish.
31 ୩୧ ଆରି ଜିସୁ କଇଲା, “ଗଟେକ୍ ରାଜା ଦସ୍ଅଜାର୍ ସନିଅ ଦାରି, କଡେଅଜାର୍ ସନିଅ ରଇଲା ରାଜାସଙ୍ଗ୍ ଜୁଇଦ୍ କର୍ବାର୍ ଆଇଲେ, ପର୍ତୁମ୍ ତାର୍ ସନିଅମନ୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ବସିକରି ତାର୍ ଦସ୍ଅଜାର ସନିଅମନ୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ଜୁଇଦ୍ କଲେ ଜିତି ଅଇସି କି ନାଇ ବଲି ଜଜ୍ନା ନ କରେକି?
Or what king, going to engage with another king in battle, doth not sit down first and consult, whether he be able with ten thousand men to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 ୩୨ ଜଦି ସେ ରାଜା ଜିତି ନଏଁ ବଲି ବାବ୍ଲେ ସେମନ୍ ଦୁରିକେ ରଇଲା ବେଲେସେ, ଏ ରାଜା ତାର୍ କେତେଟା ଲକ୍କେ ପାଟାଇ କରି, ଜୁଇଦ୍ ନ କରି ସାନ୍ତିର୍ ରାଜିନାମା କର୍ବାକେ କଇସି ।
and if not, while he is yet far off, he sendeth an embassy, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 ୩୩ ତମେମିସା ସେନ୍ତାରିସେ ମର୍ ସିସ୍ ଅଇବାକେ ମନ୍ କଲେ ତମର୍ତେଇ ରଇଲା ସବୁଟା ଚାଡିଦେବାକେ ମନ୍ କର୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ନଇଲେ ତମେ ମର୍ ସିସ୍ ଅଇ ନାପାରାସ୍ ।”
So, every one of you, that doth not give up all that he hath, cannot be my disciple.
34 ୩୪ “ନୁନ୍ ଗଟେକ୍ ବଡିଆ ଦିନ୍ସୁ । ନୁନ୍ ଜଦି ନୁନ୍ ପାରା କରିଆ ନ ଅଇଲେ ସେଟା ଆରିତରେକ୍ କେନ୍ତି ନୁନ୍ପାରା କରିଅଇସି ।
Salt is good; but if the salt have lost it's savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
35 ୩୫ ସେଟା ମାଟି କି କତ୍ କର୍ବାକେ ମିସା କାମେ ନ ଆସେ । ସେଟା ପିଙ୍ଗି ଦେବାର୍ସେ ଅଇସି । ଜାକେ ସୁନ୍ଲାପାରା କାନ୍ ଆଚେ ସେ ସୁନ ।”
it is neither fit for the land, nor for the dunghil; but they throw it away. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
