Salme 97

1 HERREN har vist, han er Konge! Jorden juble, lad glædes de mange Strande!

Yahweh he reigns let it be glad the earth let them rejoice islands many.

2 Skyer og Mulm er om ham, Retfærd og Ret er hans Trones Støtte;

Cloud and thick darkness [are] around him [is] righteousness and justice [the] foundation of throne his.

3 Ild farer frem foran ham, og luer iblandt hans Fjender.

Fire before him it goes and it may burn up all around opponents his.

4 Hans Lyn lyste op på Jorderig, Jorden så det og skjalv;

They light up lightning flashes his [the] world it sees and it trembled the earth.

5 Bjergene smelted som Voks for HERREN, for hele Jordens Herre;

Mountains like wax they melt from to before Yahweh from to before [the] lord of all the earth.

6 Himlen forkyndte hans Retfærd, alle Folkeslag skued hans Herlighed.

They declare the heavens righteousness his and they see all the peoples glory his.

7 Til Skamme blev alle, som dyrkede Billeder, de, som var stolte af deres Afguder; alle Guder bøjed sig for ham.

Let them be ashamed - all [those who] serve an image those [who] boast in worthless idols bow down to him O all gods.

8 Zion hørte det og glædede sig, og Judas Døtre jublede over dine Domme, HERRE!

It hears and it rejoiced - Zion and they were glad [the] daughters of Judah on account of judgments your O Yahweh.

9 Thi du, o HERRE, er den Højeste over al Jorden, højt ophøjet over alle Guder!

For you O Yahweh [are] most high over all the earth exceedingly you are exalted above all gods.

10 I, som elsker HERREN, hade det onde! Han vogter sine frommes Sjæle og frier dem af de gudløses Hånd;

O [you who] love Yahweh hate evil [he is] protecting [the] lives of faithful [people] his from [the] hand of wicked [people] he delivers them.

11 over de retfærdige oprinder Lys og Glæde over de oprigtige af Hjertet.

Light [is] sown for the righteous and for [people] upright of heart joy.

12 I retfærdige, glæd jer i HERREN, lovsyng hans hellige Navn!

Rejoice O righteous [people] in Yahweh and give thanks to [the] remembrance of holiness his.
