Første Krønikebog 27
1 Israeliterne efter deres Tal: Fædrenehusenes Overhoveder, Tusind- og Hundredførerne og deres Fogeder, som tjente Kongen i alle Sager vedrørende Skifterne, de, der skiftevis trådte til og fra hver Måned hele Året rundt, hvert Skifte på 24000 Mand:
And [these are] the children of Israel after their number; [to wit, ] the chiefs of the family divisions and the captains of the thousands and the hundreds, and their officers that served the king in every matter of the divisions, that came in and went out month by month, throughout all the months of the year, every division being twenty and four thousand.
2 Over det første Skifte, den første Måneds Skifte stod Isjba'al, Zabdiels Søn - til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand
Over the first division for the first month was Jashob'am the son of Zabdiel; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
3 af Perez's Efterkommere, Overhoved for alle Hærførerne; det var den første Måned.
[He] of the children of Perez was the chief of all the captains of the armies for the first month.
4 Over den anden Måneds Skifte stod Ahohiten El'azar, Dodajs Søn; til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
And over the division of the second month was Dodai the Achochite, and of his division was Mikloth also the ruler; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
5 Den tredje Hærfører, ham i den tredje Måned, var Benaja, Ypperstepræsten Jojadas Søn; til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
The third captain of the army for the third month was Benayahu the son of Jehoyada', the priest, the chief; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
6 Denne Benaja var Helten blandt de tredive og stod i Spidsen for de tredive, og ved hans Skifte var hans Søn Ammizabad.
This Benayahu was the mighty among the thirty, and [set] over the thirty'; and of his division was 'Ammizabad his son.
7 Den fjerde, ham i den fjerde Måned, var Joabs Broder Asa'el og efter ham hans Søn Zebadja; til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
The fourth for the fourth month was 'Assahel the brother of Joab, with Zebadyah his son after him; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
8 Den femte, ham i den femte Måned, var Hærføreren Zeraiten Sjamhut; til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
The fifth for the fifth month was the captain Shamhuth the Yizrachite; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
9 Den sjette, ham i den sjette Måned, var Ira, Ikkesjs Søn, fra Tekoa; til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
The sixth for the sixth month was 'Ira the son of 'Ikkesh the Theko'ite; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
10 Den syvende, ham i den syvende Måned, var Peloniten Helez af Efraimiterne; til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
The seventh for the seventh month was Chelez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
11 Den ottende, ham i den ottende Måned, var Husjatiten Sibbekaj af Zeras Slægt; til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
The eighth for the eighth month was Sibbechai the Chushathite, of the Zarchites: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
12 Den niende, ham i den niende Måned, var Abiezer fra Anatot at Benjaminiterne; til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
The ninth for the ninth month was Abi'ezer the 'Anthothite, of Benjamin; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
13 Den tiende, ham i den tiende Måned, var Maharaj fra Netofa af Zeras Slægt, til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
The tenth for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zarchites; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
14 Den ellevte, ham i den ellevte Måned, var Benaja fra Pir'aton af Efraimiterne; til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
The eleventh for the eleventh month was Benayah the Pir'athonite, of the children of Ephraim; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
15 Den tolvte, ham i den tolvte Måned, var Heldaj fra Netofa af Otniels Slægt; til hans Skifte hørte 24000 Mand.
The twelfth for the twelfth month was Cheldai the Netophathite, of 'Othniel; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
16 I Spidsen for Israels Stammer stod: Som Fyrste for Rubeniterne Eliezer, Zikris Søn; for Simeoniterne Sjefatja, Ma'akas Søn;
Moreover over the tribes of Israel: Of the Reubenites was ruler Eli'ezer the son of Zichri; of the Simeonites, Shephatyahu the son of Ma'achah;
17 for Levi Hasjabja, Hemuels Søn, for Aron Zadok;
Of the Levites, Chashabyah the son of Kamuel; of [the sons of] Aaron, Zadok;
18 for Juda Eliab, en af Davids Brødre; for Issakar Omri, Mikaels Søn;
Of Judah, Elihu, one of the brothers of David; of Issachar, 'Omri the son of Michael;
19 for Zebulon Jisjmaja, Obadjas Søn; for Naftali Jerimot, Azriels Søn;
Of Zebulun, Yishma'yahu the son of 'Obadyahu; of Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of 'Azriel;
20 for Efraimiterne Hosea, Azazjas Søn; for Manasses halve Stamme Joel, Pedajas Søn;
Of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea, the son of 'Azazyahu; of the half tribe of Menasseh, Joel the son of Pedayahu;
21 for Manasses anden Halvdel i Gilead Jiddo, Zekarjas Søn; for Benjamin Ja'asiel, Abners Søn;
Of the half tribe of Menasseh in Gil'ad, Yiddo the son of Zecharyahu; of Benjamin, 'Ja'assiel the son of Abner;
22 for Dan Azar'el, Jerobams Søn. Det var Israels Stammers Øverster.
Of Dan, 'Azarel the son of Jerocham. These were the princes of the tribes of Israel.
23 David tog ikke Tal på dem, dervar under tyve År, thi HERREN havde forjættet at ville gøre Israel talrigt som Himmelens Stjerner.
But David took not their number from twenty years old and under; because the Lord had said he would multiply Israel like the stars of the heavens.
24 Joab, Zerujas Søn, begyndte at tælle dem, men fuldførfe det ikke; thi for den Sags Skyld ramtes Israel af Vrede, og Tallet indførtes ikke i Kong Davids Krønike.
Joab the son of Zeruyah began to number [them]; but he finished not, and there came wrath because of it against Israel: and the number was not entered in the account of the chronicles of king David.
25 Over Kongens Skatte havde Azmavet, Adiels Søn, Opsynet, og over Forrådene ude på Landet, i Byerne, Landsbyerne og Fæstningerne Jonatan, Uzzijas Søn;
And over the king's treasures was 'Azmaveth the son of 'Adiel; and over the storehouses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jehonathan the son of 'Uzziyahu.
26 over Markarbejderne ved Jordens Dyrkning Ezri, Kelubs Søn;
And over those that did the work of the field, in the tillage of the ground, was 'Ezri the son of Kelub.
27 over Vingårdene Sjim'i fra Rama; over Vinforrådene i Vingårdene Sjifmiten Zabdi;
And over the vineyards was Shim'i the Ramathite; and over what was in the vineyards, as regardeth the supplies of wine, was Zabdi the Shiphmite.
28 over Oliventræerne og Morbærfigentræerne i Lavlandet Ba'al-Hanan fra Geder; over Olieforrådene Joasj;
And over the olive-trees and the sycamore-trees that were in the lowlands was Ba'al-chanan the Gederite: and over the supplies of oil was Jo'ash.
29 over Hornkvæget, der græssede på Saron, Saroniten Sjitraj; over Hornkvæget i Dalene Sjafat, Adlajs Søn;
And over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite; and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of 'Adlai.
30 over Kamelerne Ismaelitem Obil; over Æslerne Jedeja fra Meronot;
And over the camels was Obil the Ishma'elite; and over the she-asses was Yechdeyahu the Meronothite.
31 over Småkvæget Hagriten Jaziz. Alle disse var Overopsynsmænd over Kong Davids Ejendele.
And over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagerene. All these were the rulers of the property which belonged to king David.
32 Davids Farbroder Jonatan, en indsigtsfuld og skriffkyndig Mand, var Rådgiver. Jehiel, Hakmonis Søn, opdrog Kongens Sønner.
Also Jonathan David's uncle was a counsellor, being a man of understanding and acquainted with law; and Jeshiel the son of Chachmoni was with the king's sons;
33 Akitofel var Kongens Rådgiver og Arkiten Husjaj Kongens Ven.
And Achithophel was the king's counsellor; and Chushai the Arkite was the king's friend;
34 Akitofels Eftermand var Jojada, Benajas Søn, og Ebjatar. Joab var Kongens Hærfører.
And after Achithophel [came] Jehoyada' the son of Benayahu and Ebyathar; and the captain of the king's army was Joab.
