1 ⲁ̅ ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲩⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲑⲁⲓⲃⲉⲥ ⲛⲛⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲑⲓⲕⲱⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲛⲉϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ϩⲛ ⲛⲓⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲧⲁⲗⲟ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲁϩ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲧⲉⲣⲟⲙⲡⲉ ⲉⲙⲛϣ ϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲉϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁϯⲡⲉⲩⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ
You see, the Law is but a shadow of the good things to come, not their actual matter, so it can never perfect those who approach with the same sacrifices that they offer endlessly, year after year.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲉⲙⲙⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲁⲗⲟ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲧⲁⲗⲟ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϭⲉ ϫⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲥⲩⲛⲓⲇⲏⲥⲓⲥ ⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϣⲙϣⲉ ⲉⲁⲩⲧⲃⲃⲟ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ
Otherwise would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers would have had no more consciousness of sins, having been cleansed once for all?
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲛⲣⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲧⲉⲣⲟⲙⲡⲉ
However, those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins,
4 ⲇ̅ ⲟⲩⲁⲧϭⲟⲙ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉ ⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲛϭⲓⲉ ϩⲓ ⲙⲁⲥⲉ ⲕⲁ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϣⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲥⲫⲟⲣⲁ ⲙⲡⲕⲟⲩⲁϣⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲕⲥⲃⲧⲱⲧϥ ⲛⲁⲓ
Therefore, upon coming into the world He[S] says: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but You prepared a body for me;
6 ⲋ̅ ⲟⲩϭⲗⲓⲗ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϣⲁⲩⲧⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲁ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲣϩⲛⲁⲕ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ
with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased.
7 ⲍ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ϯⲛⲏⲩ ϥⲥⲏϩ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲉⲫⲁⲗⲓⲥ ⲛϫⲱⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧ ⲉⲧⲣⲁⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲟⲩⲱϣ
Then I said, ‘Yes indeed, I have come to do Your will, O God —thus it is written about me in the scroll of the book.’”
8 ⲏ̅ ⲛⲧⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲥⲫⲟⲣⲁ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛϭⲗⲓⲗ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉϣⲁⲩⲧⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲁ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲟⲩⲁϣⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲣϩⲛⲁⲕ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉϣⲁⲩⲧⲁⲗⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ
First He says, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor were You pleased with them” (which are offered according to the Law),
9 ⲑ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ϯⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲧⲣⲁⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲟⲩⲱϣ ϣⲁϥϥⲓ ⲙⲡϣⲟⲣⲡ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲧⲁϩⲉ ⲡⲙⲉϩⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ
then He says, “Yes indeed, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He removes the first in order to establish the second.
10 ⲓ̅ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲓⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲛⲧⲃⲃⲏⲩ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲡⲣⲟⲥⲫⲟⲣⲁ ⲙⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲟⲡ
By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲙⲏⲛⲉ ⲉϥϣⲙϣⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲗⲟ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛⲛⲓⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲛϩⲁϩ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲙⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲉⲕⲁ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Now every priest has stood ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices that can never take away sins;
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗⲟϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁϥϩⲙⲟⲟⲥ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲛⲥⲁⲟⲩⲛⲁⲙ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
but He Himself, having offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, sat down at God's right.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲉϥϭⲱϣⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϣⲁⲛⲧⲟⲩⲕⲱ ⲛⲛⲉϥϫⲁϫⲉ ϩⲁ ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ
Since that time He is waiting until His enemies are placed as a footstool for His feet,
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲣⲟⲥⲫⲟⲣⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲁϥϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁⲧⲃⲃⲟ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ
because by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ϥⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲧⲣⲉϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ
Now the Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this, after having foreseen it:
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲇⲓⲁⲑⲏⲕⲏ ⲉϯⲛⲁⲥⲙⲛⲧⲥ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲉⲓⲉϯⲛⲁⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲉϫⲛ ⲛⲉⲩϩⲏⲧ ⲧⲁⲥϩⲁⲓⲥⲟⲩ ⲉϫⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ
“‘This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,’ says the Lord, ‘I will put my laws on their hearts and I will write them on their minds,
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲱⲥ ϣⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲁⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲛⲛⲁⲣⲡⲉⲩⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϭⲉ
and I will not at all remember their sins and lawless deeds.’”
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ϩⲟⲡⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲕⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲓⲉ ⲙⲛⲧⲁⲗⲟ ϭⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲁ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ
Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲉⲩⲛⲧⲁⲛ ϭⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣϩⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲙⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ
Therefore, brothers, having courage to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
20 ⲕ̅ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲕⲉϩⲕⲱϩⲥ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛⲃⲣⲣⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲕⲁⲧⲁⲡⲉⲧⲁⲥⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲥⲁⲣⲝ
by a new and living way that He inaugurated for us, through the curtain, that is to say, His flesh,
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲟⲩⲏⲏⲃ ⲉϫⲙ ⲡⲏⲉⲓ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
and having a Great Priest over the house of God,
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲙⲁⲣⲛϯⲡⲉⲛⲟⲩⲟⲓ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ ⲙⲙⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲱⲧ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ϭⲉϣϭⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲩⲛⲓⲇⲏⲥⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲟⲛⲏⲣⲟⲛ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲙⲁ ϫⲟⲕⲙ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ
let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts having been sprinkled from an evil conscience and our body having been washed with clean water.
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲧⲛⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲛⲑⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲓⲁ ⲛⲑⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲁϫⲛⲣⲓⲕⲉ ⲟⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲉⲣⲏⲧ
Let us hold fast the confession of the Hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲧⲛϭⲱϣⲧ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲉⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ ⲉⲩⲡⲁⲣⲟⲝⲩⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩ
And let us contemplate one another, for the stirring up of love and good works,
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲉⲙⲡⲛⲕⲱ ⲛⲥⲱⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲉⲡⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲛϩⲟⲓⲛⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲕⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓϩⲉ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves (like some are doing), but exhorting one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲉⲛⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲧⲉⲛϭⲟⲙ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲧⲣⲉⲛϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲧⲙⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁϣⲱϫⲡ ϩⲁ ⲛⲟⲃⲉ
Because, if we deliberately keep on sinning after having received the real knowledge of the Truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲉϭⲱϣⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲕⲣⲓⲥⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲕⲱϩⲧ ⲛⲧⲥⲁⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲛⲛϫⲁϫⲉ
just a certain fearful anticipation of judgment and fierce fire that is ready to consume the hostiles.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲁⲑⲉⲧⲉⲓ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲙⲱⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲛⲟⲩⲉϣ ⲙⲙⲛⲧϣⲛϩⲧⲏϥ ϩⲓⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲏ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ϣⲁϥⲙⲟⲩ
Anyone who rejected Moses' law died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲉⲓⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲛⲛⲁⲟⲩⲏⲣ ⲛⲧⲓⲙⲱⲣⲓⲁ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲥⲉϣϥ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲁϥⲉⲡ ⲡⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲇⲓⲁⲑⲏⲕⲏ ϫⲉ ϥϫⲁϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲃⲃⲟϥ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲉⲁϥⲥⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ
Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be deemed worthy who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has regarded as unholy the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
30 ⲗ̅ ⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲃⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲛⲁⲧⲱⲱⲃⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲛⲁⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲗⲁⲟⲥ
For we know Him who said, “‘Vengeance is up to me,’ says the Lord, ‘I will repay.’” And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ϩⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲛϭⲓϫ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ
It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God!
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲣⲓⲡⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲛⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲓⲛⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲁⲑⲗⲏⲥⲓⲥ ⲙⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉϥϣⲡϩⲓⲥⲉ
However, remember those earlier days in which, having been enlightened, you endured a great struggle of sufferings:
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲱⲃⲉ ⲛⲥⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲛⲟϭⲛⲉϭ ⲙⲛ ϩⲉⲛⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲓⲕⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ϩⲓ ⲛⲁⲓ
partly being publicly exposed to both insults and oppression, and partly siding with those who were so treated.
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲕⲁⲓⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲡϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲏⲣ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲧⲱⲣⲡ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛϩⲩⲡⲁⲣⲭⲟⲛⲧⲁ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲟⲡϥ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲏⲧⲛ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ⲉⲥⲥⲟⲧⲡ ⲉⲥⲙⲏⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Indeed, you also shared in the suffering of my chains; you even accepted the plundering of your possessions with joy, knowing that you have for yourselves a better and enduring possession in the heavens.
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲙⲡⲣⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲡⲁⲣϩⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲟⲩⲛⲧⲥ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲉⲓⲟ ⲛⲃⲉⲕⲉ
So do not throw away your confidence, which has a great recompense.
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲏⲧ
You need perseverance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲕⲉⲕⲟⲩⲓ ⲡⲉ ϩⲟⲥⲟⲛ ϩⲟⲥⲟⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲛϥⲛⲁⲱⲥⲕ ⲁⲛ
For in a very little while: “He who is coming will come and will not delay.
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲡⲁⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉϥϣⲁⲛϩⲱⲡ ⲛϩⲛⲉ ⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⲁⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ
Now the righteous one will live by faith, yet if he backs away, my soul has no pleasure in him.”
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲏⲡ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡϩⲱⲡ ⲉⲡⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲉⲩⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲯⲩⲭⲏ
But we are not of those who back away into ruin, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
