< Mikah 5 >

1 Ransahu canunaw, kamkhueng awh haw. Maimanaw teh king na kalup awh toe. Isarel lawkkungnaw e a hmaibei dawk bongpai hoi a hem awh toe.
Meanwhile, shalt thou gather together in troops, thou daughter of a troop, siege, hath he laid against us, —with a sceptre, will they smite on the cheek, the judge of Israel!
2 Oe, Bethlehem Epharath khopui, Judah uknae thung nang teh kathoengcae kho lah na o eiteh, Isarel miphunnaw ka uk e BAWIPA teh, Kai hanlah nang koehoi a kamnue han. Talai pekkamtawngnae koehoi kamnuek e BAWIPA doeh.
Thou, therefore, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though, little, to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee, shall Mine come forth, to be ruler in Israel, —whose comings forth, have been from of old, from the days of age-past time.
3 Hatdawkvah, camo ka khe hane ka khang e napui ni a khe hoehnahlan hai thoseh, Isarel miphun hoi kacawie hmaunawnghanaw teh a kâthung hoehroukrak thoseh, ahnimouh teh ka pahnawt han.
Therefore, will he give them up, until the time when, one who is to bring forth, hath brought forth, —and, the remainder of his brethren, return unto the sons of Israel.
Then shall he stand, and tend his flock in the strength of Yahweh, In the excellency of the name of Yahweh his God, have they endured, —For, now, shall he be great unto the ends of the earth;
5 Assiria tami ni kaimouh ram a tho teh, maimae imnaw a coungroe navah, tukhoum sari touh hoi bawi taroe touh a tâco vaiteh,
So shall this one be Prosperity. As for Assyria—when he shall enter our land, and when he shall tread down in our palaces, then will we raise up against him, seven shepherds, and eight princes of mankind.
6 Tahloi hoi Assiria ram hai thoseh, khopui longkha koevah Nimrod ram hai thoseh, koung raphoenae lahoi, maimouh ram lah a tho awh vaiteh, maimae ram thung vah ka coungroe e Assiria e kut dawk hoi maimanaw hah na hlout sak awh han.
Then shall they shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof, —So shall he deliver from Assyria, when he shall enter our land, and when he shall tread down within our bounds.
7 Kacawie Jakop miphunnaw teh Jentel miphun moikapapnaw koe ao vaiteh, BAWIPA ni na poe e tadamtui patetlah thoseh, tami ring mahoeh. Taminaw e ngainae koe ka cet hoeh e kho ratui patetlah ao han.
And, the remnant of Jacob, shall be, in the midst of many peoples, as dew from Yahweh, as myriad drops on plants, —which tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of Adam.
8 Kacawie Jakop miphunnaw ni Jentelnaw koe ao awh vaiteh, ratu e sarang sendek patetlah thoseh, tuhunaw koe sendektanca patetlah ao han. Sendek a kâen toteh apinihai ngang thai laipalah a coungroe vaiteh a ca han.
And, the remnant of Jacob, shall be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the jungle, as a young lion among flocks of sheep, —who, if he passeth by, both treadeth down—and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
9 Nangmae taran koelah kambawng e naw hah na tuk awh vaiteh, na tarannaw pueng teh asung han.
Let thy hand be uplifted against thine adversaries, —and, all thine enemies, shall be cut off.
10 BAWIPA a dei e teh, hote atueng dawkvah, nangmae umsali hai marangnaw hoi ranglengnaw koung ka raphoe han.
And it shall come to pass, in that day, Declareth Yahweh, That I will cut off thy horses out of thy midst, —and will destroy thy chariots;
11 Na ram dawk e rapanimnaw hoi khopuinaw hai ka raphoe han.
And will cut off the cities of thy land, —and will pull down all thy fortresses;
12 Na ram dawk e camkathoumnaw ka raphoe vaiteh, khueyue hai awm mahoeh.
And will cut off incantations, out of thy hand, —and, users of hidden arts, shalt thou not have;
13 Meikaphawknaw hah nangmae hmaitung koung ka raphoe han. Meikaphawknaw hah nangmouh ni bout na bawk awh mahoeh toe.
And I will cut off thine images and thy pillars out of thy midst, —and thou shalt not bow thyself down, any more, to the work of thine own hands;
14 Asherahkungnaw na hmaitung vah ka phawk han. Na khopui haiyah be ka raphoe han.
And I will uproot thy Sacred Stems out of thy midst, —and will destroy thy cities:
15 Ka lawk ka ngai hoeh e Jentelnaw hah puenghoi lungkhueknae a yon phu ka pathung han.
Then will I execute, with anger and with indignation, vengeance upon the nations, —of which they have not heard.
