1 Vo Elohim Pathen ka taona neingaipeh in, panpi ngehna ka taona neigelkhoh peh'in!
To the Chief Musician: with stringed Instruments. A Psalm of Instruction, of David. Give ear, O God, to my prayer, And do not hide thyself from my supplication:
2 Lungset tah in ka taona neingaipeh in lang neihin donbut teijin, ajeh chu kagimnan eihin lonvuh tan ahi.
Attend unto me, and answer me, I may ramble in my complaining, And be driven to and fro—
3 Ka galmite'n eisamseu vin, eigihna'u hi akithong le'u jeng'in ahi. Aman boi na eilhunkhum sah un lunghang tah'in eihin delkhum taove.
Because of the noise of the enemy, By reason of the oppression of the lawless one, For they would let trouble drop upon me, And, in anger, would they entrap me.
4 Ka lung aphul lap jeng'in thina gimneitah hin eihin nokhum tan ahi.
My heart, would writhe within me, And, the terrors of Death, have fallen upon me:
5 Tijatna le lunggimna'n eilonvuh tan kithing louvin ka umthei poi.
Fear and trembling, would enter me, And there would have overwhelmed me—a horror!
6 Oh, vakhu bang'a lhaving nei hitave leng o keima lengdoh ingting ga kicholdo tang'e!
Then I said—Oh that there were given me a pinion, like a dove, I would fly away and be at rest:
7 Keima gamlatah in lengdoh ingting gamthip noi olnamun gabel tang'e.
Lo! I would take a distant flight, I would tarry in the wilderness. (Selah)
8 Hitobang kivetdatona huipi kinunglah a konhin gangtah in gamlatah a jammang tang'e.
I would hasten mine escape, From rushing wind, from storm.
9 Yahweh Pakai amaho hi kisuhmosah in lang athilse gon'u jong hi suhmopeh jeng tan, ajeh chu athilgon'u hin khopi sung'a thilse tamtah asodoh sah ding ahi.
Confuse, O My Lord, divide their speech, For I have seen violence and contention in the city;
10 Akulpi bang'u jong galmi'a kon'a hoidohna ding'a asun ajan a anga'u ahi, ahinla akhohpentah chu khopi sung'a chonsetna ho hi ahi.
Day and night, they go round her, upon her walls, And, trouble and misery, are in her midst;
11 Thil jouse hi asegam'a ahitai, kailhang jeng'a jong kigihna le ki joubol na adimlha tan ahi.
Engulfing ruin, is in her midst, And there depart not from her broadway, oppression and deceit.
12 Ka dougal'in eitai tomna jong ahipoi hichu ka doujou thouve, kiletsah tah'a eijumso jing'a ka kidoupipa jong ahipoi, amaho a kon chun ka ki seldoh theinan ahi.
For it is, not an enemy, that reproacheth me, Or I could bear it, —Not one that hath hated me, who, against me, hath magnified himself, Or I might hide myself from him;
13 Amavang hiche ho chu hilouvin, ka kibahpi, ka kivoppi, ka golngai nangma chu na hi.
But it is, thou, a man esteemed as mine equal, mine associate, and mine acquaintance;
14 Phat khatna chu ichan geija ina kingailut hitam Elohim Pathen houin jeng'a jong ina kijotlutji ahie!
So that together have we been wont to find sweetness in counsel, In the house of God, used we to walk in the throng.
15 Ka dougalte hi thina'n lhunkhum hen, lhankhuh in ahing'in vallhum jeng'u hen, ajeh chu setna'n alungsung'u chen nan aneitan ahi. (Sheol h7585)
Desolations on them! Let them go down into hades alive, For, wicked doings, are at home within them. (Sheol h7585)
16 Ahinlah keiman Elohim ka Pathen ka kou ding chuleh Yahweh ka Pakai in eihuhdoh ding ahi.
I, unto God, will cry, —And, Yahweh, will save me.
17 Jingkah, sun, nilhah in ka lung hesoh jeh'in ka kap'in ahileh Yahweh Pakai in ka-o eijahpeh tai.
At evening and morning and high noon, have I been wont to lament and complain, And he hath heard my voice!
18 Mi tamtah in eidou jing hen lang, kei douna'n gal kisat chohjeju jeng jongleh Yahweh Pakai in eilhatdoh'in ol-heuvin eiumsah tai.
He hath completely redeemed my soul, out of the attack upon me, For, in multitudes, were they [in conflict] with me.
19 Tonsot a vaihom jing Elohim Pathen chun ka taona sang intin ka dougalte asuhnem ding ahi. Ajeh chu amahon achondan'u akhelnom pouvin Elohim Pathen jong aging pouve;
GOD will hear, Yea He will humble them who aforetime sat [enthroned]. (Selah) With whom are no changings, Neither have they revered God.
20 Keima kiloipipan vang, aloihi alhem lhan akitepna asukeh'in ahi.
He hath thrust forth his hands, against them he was wont to salute, he hath violated his covenant;
21 Athu cheng chu thaotwi bang'in analjet in hinlah asung uvin gal lungthim apu'uve. Athu cheng'u thaotwi nang abang'in hinlah asunglang uvah chemjam ngen aum'e.
Smoother than curds, were [the words of] his mouth, But, war, was [in] his heart, —Softer his words than oil, Yet, they, were drawn swords!
22 Na pohgih chu Yahweh Pakai chung'a seplha tan Aman na ngai jangpeh nante. Aman mi chonpha ho chu akipalsah lou ding lhuh jong alhuhsah lou ding ahi.
Cast upon Yahweh thy lot, and, he, will sustain thee: He will not suffer, to times age-abiding, the righteous one to be shaken.
23 Nangvang O Elohim Pathen mi gilou ho chu lhuh na kokhuh a nasotlhah ding ahi. Tolthat ho le jonpan ho jong khangdong cha na thisah ding ahi, hinla keimanvang eihuhing din nang jeng katahsan e.
But, thou, O God, wilt bring them down to the pit of destruction, Men of bloodshed and deceit, shall not live out half their days; But, I, will trust in thee.
