Thuchihbu 11
1 Thil adihlouva kite hi Yahweh Pakai in athet ahin, dihta a akilep-toa akite teng Yahweh Pakai ding in kipa aum-jie.
A false balance [is] abomination to the LORD: but a just weight [is] his delight.
2 Kiletsahnan ahin phah teng, muda nan ahin lhut paijin, milung neng ho ding in vang chihna aum jing e.
[When] pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly [is] wisdom.
3 Mikitah ho kamkeh loubeh a aum jiu hi, amasang-diuva lamhil a pang ahin, jou le nal'a thuseija lungthim dihlou hin, ajona leh manthahna aso-sah jitauvin ahi.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
4 Elohim Pathen lunghan niteng, nei le gou iman apang pon, dihna kiti hi thina dinmun a jong hoidohna a pang ahi.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
5 Chamdel a um mikitah chu alampi a-jang in, mikitahlou vang chu aphatlouna in alhup denji ahi.
The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
6 Mikitah te chu adihna in ahuhdoh jin, jou le nal a thuseina vang chun soh-a apanlo sah ahibouve.
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in [their own] naughtiness.
7 Miphalou chu athiteng akinepna jong pannabei ahin, Elohim Pathen sumilte dinga kinepna jong pannabei ahi.
When a wicked man dieth, [his] expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust [men] perisheth.
8 Mikitah chu gim le hesohna kon in akihuhdoh jin, miphalou vang chu gim le hesohna'a alhalut jitai.
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
9 Elohim Pathen sumil mi chun aheng akom manthana ding jeng asei jin, hinlah hetkhen na thahat nei jeh in mikitah te huhdoh in aum-jin ahi.
A hypocrite with [his] mouth destroyeth his neighbor: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
10 Mikitah hon aphalam amano teng, khopi sunga mihemte akipah un, mikitah lou ho chunga manthahna alhun teng, mi akipah jin ahi.
When the righteous prosper, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, [there is] shouting.
11 Mikitah ho chunga phattheina jal in, khopi sung mite dopsang in aum un, hinlah mikitah lou ho thumot sei jeh'in khopi amangthah bep jin ahi.
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
12 Aheng akom hebol lou-pa chu milungthim bei ahin, thil hetkhenna neipa vang chu thipbeh chan aum jin ahi.
He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbor: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
13 Muntinna thu seilepa chun thuguh jeng jong aseidoh jin, hinlah tahsan theitah mi vang chun thuguh kiti a-im jon ahi.
A tale-bearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
14 Kilamhilna aum louteng mipi kipal tei ding, guhthim cha kithuhilna achun bitna aum teijin ahi.
Where no counsel [is], the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors [there is] safety.
15 Hetlou miho batsah na dia athil tung chun atohga amu tei ding, thil tun ding deiloupa vang chu hoidoh tei ding ahi.
He that is surety for a stranger shall smart [for it]: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.
16 Mi ngailuthem numei chu jana chang tei ding, gitlouna vang chun noisena dimset akimu ding ahi.
A gracious woman retaineth honor: and strong [men] retain riches.
17 Mi ngailuthem chun phatchomna atoh doh ahin, mi kilose vang chun maha akilam doh-ji ahi.
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but [he that is] cruel troubleth his own flesh.
18 Miphalou in jou le nal in tohman amujin, mikitah vang chun muchi pha atun aga alou jitan ahi.
The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness [shall be] a sure reward.
19 Thildih tuhchah a ngailu chun hinna anei tei ding, aphalou lam jenga chepa chu thi tei ding ahi.
As righteousness [tendeth] to life: so he that pursueth evil [pursueth it] to his own death.
20 Alungthim a thildih lou puho Yahweh Pakai in athet in, achena lam lam'a chamdel'a umte chunga Yahweh Pakai akipah jing in ahi.
They that are of a froward heart [are] abomination to the LORD: but [such as are] upright in [their] way [are] his delight.
21 Hechen soh keijun, mi koihile engsetna nei chun talen amat ding, mikitah te vang huhdoh-a um tei diu ahi.
[Though] hand [join] in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
22 Limgeh a um lou numei kitihi vohpi nahko sunga sana chao kiba bep kheh ahi.
[As] a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, [so is] a fair woman who is without discretion.
23 Mikitah ho dei le ngai chu, apha cha cha jeng ahin, mikitah lou ho kinepna vang chu lungsatna jeng ahibouve.
The desire of the righteous [is] only good: [but] the expectation of the wicked [is] wrath.
24 Itcha louhel'a hongphal mi chu ahao cheh cheh jin, mihem koi hileh apeh ding kisan nunglah achu lhasam cheh cheh ding ahi.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and [there is] that withholdeth more than is meet, but [it tendeth] to poverty.
25 Mi hongphal chun anei be cheh cheh ding, mi dang dinga twi chap chan chu ama chunga jong kichap ding ahi.
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
26 Chang hom-lou a koitup chah khehpa chu mipi sapset chang ding, hinlah kiphal tah'a chang homdohpa chunga vang phattheina lhung ding ahi.
He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing [shall be] upon the head of him that selleth [it].
27 Giltah'a thilpha ngaito pan, lungkimna aneiyin, thilpha lou jong chu aphaloupa chunga aga chu-jitan ahi.
He that diligently seeketh good procureth favor: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come to him.
28 Nei le gou'a kisongpa chu ahomkeuva um tei ding, mikitah te vang thingna banga nou jing diu ahi.
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
29 Mi koi hileh a-insung vai hom tup lou chu huija leng le tobang bep ahin, chule mingol chun miching ho jenlea pang tei ding ahi.
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool [shall be] servant to the wise of heart.
30 Mikitah natoh chu hinna thingphung ga tobang asoh jin, pannabeija kichih sahna hin hinkho manthahna alhut jin ahi.
The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise.
31 Leiset'a mikitah jeng bon akile thuh theileh, miphalou chunga ichan geija lhung ding hitam chule achonsete chunga ichan gei lhung ding hitam!
Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed upon the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
