Nehemiah 12

Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra;

2 Amariah, Malluch, Hattush;

3 Shecaniah, Harim, Meremoth;

Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth;

4 Iddo, Ginnethon, Abijah;

Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah;

5 Miniamin, Moadiah, Bilgah;

Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah;

6 Shemaiah, Joiarib, Jedaiah;

Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah;

7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah chule Jedaiah, amaho hi Jeshua khanga thempu lamkai ho le atohkhom pi hou chu ahiuve.

Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and their brethren in the days of Jeshua.

8 Levite amaho toh hung kinungle ho chu Jeshua, Binnui, Kidmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, chuleh Mattaniah amahi atoh khompi hotoh thangvah na lasah na lamkai ahi.

Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.

9 Atohkhom pi hou Bakbukiah le Unni hin houin sunga kin kibol teng amaho chu toh kimai ngat ton ana ding jiuvin ahi.

Also Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, were over against them in wards.

10 Thempulen Jeshua chu Joiakim pa ahi, Joiakim chu Eliashib pa ahi. Eliashib chu Joiada pa ahi.

And Jeshua begot Joiakim, and Joiakim begot Eliashib, and Eliashib begot Joiada,

11 Joiada chu Johanan pa ahi. Johanan chu Jaddua pa ahi.

and Joiada begot Jonathan and Jonathan begot Jaddua.

12 Tun Joiakim thempulen ahiphat in insung lamkai ho chu noiya hohi ahiuve: Meraiah chu Seraiah insung mite lamkai ahin, Hananiah chu Jeremiah insung lamkai ahi.

And in the days of Joiakim were priests, heads of fathers' houses: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

13 Meshullam chu Ezra insung lamkai ahi. Jehohanan chu Amariah insung lamkai ahi.

of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

14 Jonathan chu Malluch insung lamkai ahi. Joseph chu Shecaniah insung lamkai ahi.

of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

15 Adna chu Harim insung lamkai ahi. Helkai chu Meremoth insung lamkai ahi.

of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

16 Zechariah chu Iddo insung lamkai ahi. Meshullam chu Ginnethon insung lamkai ahi.

of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

17 Zichri chu Abijah insung lamkai ahi. Miniamin insung lamkai jong ana um'in ahi. Piltai chu Moadiah insung lamkai anahi.

of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin; of Moadiah, Piltai;

18 Shammua chu Bilgah insung lamkai anahi. Jahonathan chu Shemaiah insung lamkai anahi.

of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;

19 Mettenai chu Joiarib insung lamkai anahi. Uzzi chu Jedaiah insung lamkai anahi.

and of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;

20 Kallai chu Sallu insung lamkai anahi. Eber chu Amok insung lamkai anahi.

of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;

21 Hashabiah chu Hilkiah insung lamkai anahi. Nathanel chu Jedaiah insung lamkai anahi.

of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethanel.

22 Eliashib, Joiada, Jonathan, chule Jaddua chu thempulen anahi nao kumsung chun Levite insung minbu chu phatah in ana kikoiyin ahi.

The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded heads of fathers' houses; also the priests, in the reign of Darius the Persian.

23 Levite insung lamkai ho minbu chu khanggui thusimbu a ana kikoijin hichu Eliashib tupa Johanan khang geiya umsuh peh a ahi.

The sons of Levi, heads of fathers' houses, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

24 Hicheng hi Levite lamkai ho insung mite ahiuve: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, chule akiloi khompi ho ahiuvin, amaho hi thangvah na le kipa thusei na kin kibol teng kingatto jia ahiuvin Pathen mipa David in ana thupeh banga loikhat chu loikhat toh kidonbut toji ahiuve.

And the chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward against ward.

25 Hichea chun Mattaniah Bakbukiah chuleh Obadiah jong ana panguve. Meshullam, Talmon, chule Akkub chu kelkot phunga thilkeo koina indan chu angahtup ma panga ahiuve.

Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the store-houses of the gates.

26 Amaho hin Jehozadok chapa Jeshua chapa Joiakim chule gamvaipo Nehemiah leh thempulen danthu them Ezra khanglaiya ana toh’u ahi.

These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest the scribe.

27 Jerusalem kulpi bang athah chu thensona kin na hi ahung kithopina diuvin gamsung muntin na um Levite chu akoukhom uvin ahi. Amaho chun atumgingu thih pheng kisai gin, selangdah ginleh semjang kisaiging puma hiche kin loupia hi thangvah na lasah puma thanomtah a pan alah u ahi.

And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

28 Jerusalem vel'a Netophath mite khohoa kona lasa ho akhom soh keiyun ahi.

And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the Plain round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of the Netophathites;

29 Beth-gilgal leh thinglhang gam Geba leh Azmaveth kom veldunga konin jong ahungun ahi. Ajeh chu lasa miho hin Jerusalem veldunga chu chenmun ana kisem u ahi.

also from Beth-gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth; for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.

30 Thempu hole Levite chu amasan ama hole amaho akisutheng un chu jouvin mipi hole kelkot ho chule kulpi bang chu asuthengun ahi.

And the priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

31 Keiman Juda lamkai ho chu kulpi bang chunga chun kapuijin thangvah na pe dingin lathem hon ni kaga gong toh'in ahi. Lathem honkhat chu Eh-Kelkot lang ajonun, lathem honkhat chun lhanglam ajonun Eh-Kelkot lang kulpi bang chung langa chun aheuvin ahi.

Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies that gave thanks and went in procession: on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate;

32 Hoshiah leh Judah lamkai akehkhat in ajuijun ahi.

and after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah;

33 Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam;

and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,

34 Judah, Benjamin, Shemaiah, chuleh Jeremiah jong ahiuve.

Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah;

35 Hicheng jou chun sumkon mut thempu ho phabep ahungun Jonathan chapa Zachariah, Shemaiah chapa, Mettaniah chapa, Mecaiah chapa, Zaccur chapa, Asaph chilhah hojonghi apanguve.

and certain of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph;

36 Chuleh Zechariah tohkhompi ho chu Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah chuleh Hanani ahiuve. Chule amaho hin Pathen mipa David in anasuh tohsa tumging thei ho chu ana mang hauvin ahi. Ezra in mipi kijot ho chu ana lamkaiyin ahi.

and his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and Ezra the scribe was before them;

37 Twikhuh kelkot na kon chun khopi kulpi banga kal touna kalbia chun jangpet in acheuvin David khopi lang ajonun ahi. Amahon David inchu aho paovin chuin solang Twi Kelkot lang chu ajon’un ahi.

and by the fountain gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.

38 Lathem hon ni na ho chun thangvah pumin sahlang ajonun lang khat lam a chun avel’un ama hotoh kimuto dingin acheuvin ahi. Kenjong amaho nung kajuiyin mipi akehkhat chutoh kalhonne, kulpi bang vumma kacheuvin meikhulong hung kitundoh chungvum langa kacheuvin, kulpi bang ningkoi lang geiyin kacheuve.

And the other company of them that gave thanks went to meet them, and I after them, with the half of the people, upon the wall, above the tower of the furnaces, even unto the broad wall;

39 Chuin Ephraim kelkot chunglam a kacheuvin, kelkot luilang Nga Kelkot kom Hananel insung lam, Kelngoi hong Kelkot phung geiyin kacheuvin ahi, chujouvin miho chu kelkot ngah ho din munna chun ahung ding uvin ahi.

and above the gate of Ephraim, and by the gate of the old city and by the fish gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even unto the sheep gate; and they stood still in the gate of the guard.

40 Lathem hon ni ho chun thangvah na la sa pumin Pathen houin lang chu ajon’un hilaiya chun apansa tauve. Keileh kaki lhonpi lamkai ho jong hilaiya chun kaum tauve.

So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me;

41 Keiho chu sumkon mut thempu ho Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah chuleh Hananiah;

and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;

42 Chule lasaho- Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazer, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malkijah, Elam chuleh Ezer, mi hicheng hitoh kaki lhonun ahi. Amahon lathem lamkaipa Jezrahiah mapuina in tum ging toh thon hasah in asauvin ahi.

and Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.

43 Hiche kipa thanop ni chun pumgo thilto tamtah anatoh doh’un ahi, ajeh chu Pathenin mipi chu kipana lentah anapen ahi. Hiche golnop nikhoa hin numei le chapang ho jong ana pangun chule Jerusalem mipite kipana ogin chu gamla tah a konin jong akijan ahi.

And they offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced; so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

44 Hiche nikho chun maicham ma hung kitoh doh ho, lhosohga masa hung kitoh hole hopsom hung kitohdoh ho kholna indan ho vesui dingin mi phabep akipansah in ahi. Danthun angeh dungjuiya thempu hole Levite chanding dol khopi pamlanga chengho koma hindong dingin amaho chun mopohna aneiyun ahi. Ajeh chu Judah mipite hin thempu hole Levite natoh na a hin alunglhai lheh jengun ahi.

And on that day were men appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the heave-offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, according to the fields of the cities, the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites; for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that took their stations.

45 Amahon David leh achapa Solomon ana thupeh bangin Pathen kin leh kisuh thengna kin hi atongun ahi, chuleh lasa a pang hole kelkot ngah hon jong ajongun ahi.

And they kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, and so did the singers and the porters, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.

46 Vahchoi la le Pathen thangvah na lasah na a lathem ho lamkai ding tohgon chu David le Asaph nikho lai peh a patna hung che jom peh ahi.

For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.

47 Hiti chun Zerubbabel le Nehemiah khang hin Israel mipiten lasa hole kelkot ngah ho chule Levite neh le chah ding niseh in ahin pohpeh jiuvin ahi. Levite chun amahoa thilmua kon chun Aaron chilhah thempuho ding phabep ape jiuvin ahi.

And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, as every day required; and they hallowed for the Levites; and the Levites hallowed for the sons of Aaron.
