< Isaiah 50 >

1 Hichehi Pakaiyin asei chu ahi: “Nanu chu keiman kada ahi tah jeh’a kisol manga ham? Ka thil bat ho jeh’a nangho soh’a ka johdoh’u ham? Ahipoi, na chonset jeh’uva kijohdohsa nahiu ahitai. Chule na chonset jeh’uva nanu’u jong kipui manga ahije.
Thus saith the LORD, Where [is] the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors [is it] to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.
2 Ipi iti danna ka hung petna koima cha umlou ahi dem? Ka kou petna iti dana koima eidonbutna umlou hin tem? Keiman huhdoh theina tha neilouva neigel’u ahi dem? Hiche hi ajeh kisei chu ahipoi! Ajeh iham itileh keiman twikhanglen koma thu kasei leh tolgo soh ‘a ahitai. Keiman vadung chu nelphai kasosah’a nga umho thi gam'a ahiiuve.
Why, when I came, [was there] no man? when I called, [was there] none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish becometh putrid, because [there is] no water, and dieth for thirst.
3 Keiman vanthamjol muthim kasosah’a, amaho chu lunghemna pon hoa kitom ahiuve.
I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.
4 Thunei pen Pakaiyin Achihna thu eipei, hiche hi Keiman athachol kalhamon theina ding ahi. Jingkah ahung lhun seh le Ama’n eisukhang jin chule kahet khen them theina din Ama lunglam’a chona toh eihon thapeh in ahi.
The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to [him that is] weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth my ear to hear as the learned.
5 Thanei pen Pakaiyin ka koma thu ahin seijin chule keiman ka ngaipeh’e. Keiman Ama ka doupon chule ka kiheimang jeng poi.
The LORD GOD opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
6 Keima eivo dingho lama ka nung kado peh in chule ka khamul bot lha goho koma kabeng ka dopeh’e. Keiman noisebolna le chilset khuma konin kamai kaselpoi.
I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
7 Ajeh chu Thunei chungnung Pakaiyin eipan pin, keima lungsetna bei hi ponge. Hijeh’a hi keiman kamai song tobanga katahsah’a, Alunglam bol dinga kakigot ahitai. Chule keima jachatna’a chulou ding kahi.
For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
8 Keima them eichansahpa chu naicha um ahi. Tua hi keima douna thusei ding koi alung ngam dem? Keima themo eichan ho chu koi koi hiu vem? Amaho chu hung kilu lah’u hen!
[He is] near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together; who [is] my adversary? let him come near to me.
9 Vetemin, keima Thuneipen Pakai chu kei lama apange. Koi ham eithemo chansah dinga? Ka melmate ho jouse chu ponlui tobang hiuvin tin, mase mon’in aneh tobanga kisumang ding ahiuve.
Behold the Lord GOD will help me; who [is] he [that] shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
10 Nalah’uva koiyin Pakai agin’a chule alhachapa thusei angai jem? Nangma muthim lah’ a khovah ‘a navalea ahileh, Pakai tahsanin chule na Pathen’a lung ngaijin.
Who [is] among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh [in] darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and rely upon his God.
11 Hinla ching theijun, nangma vah’a vahlen lang chule nangma tah mei nati chu kisang lum’in. Hiche hi nangman keija kona nakisan ding chu ahi. Nangma gangtah’a nalhah lutna thohhasa nathoh ding ahitai.
Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that encompass [yourselves] with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks [that] ye have kindled. This shall ye have of my hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.
