1 Darius lengvaipoh kal kum ni lhinna, Lhajing nisim som ni le ko nin, Judah gamvaipo Shealtiel chapa Zerubabel le thempu chungnung Jehozadak chapa Jeshua henga Pakai in Haggai a konin thu ahinseiye.
In the second yeere of King Darius, in the sixt moneth, the first day of the moneth, came ye worde of the Lord (by the ministery of the Prophet Haggai) vnto Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, a prince of Iudah, and to Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, saying,
2 “Van Pakai chun hitin aseiye: Hiche miten, ‘Pakai hou in sahphatna ding avatna laiye atiuve.’”
Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, saying, This people say, The time is not yet come, that the Lords House should be builded.
3 Hijeh chun Pakai in Haggai themgao kamin ahin seiye:
Then came the worde of the Lord by the ministerie of the Prophet Haggai, saying,
4 “I-atileh ka in asesa kijam’a nang ho in nomtah taha chen nahiuvem?
Is it time for your selues to dwell in your sieled houses, and this House lie waste?
5 Hiche hi Van Pakai sei ahi: Ipiti nahiu ham phaten kiveuvin!
Now therefore thus saith ye Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
6 Muchi tamtah natudoh naovin, ahinlah lhomcha bou nakiat doh uve. An nane naovin, ahinlah navaset thei pouve. Twi nadon naovin, ahinlah na dangchah-u achimdeh poi. Von na kivon naovin, ahinlah lum nasah jou pouve. Na tohman jouseu jong akoina sumdip avangsa bangin amang pai ji'e!
Ye haue sowen much, and bring in litle: ye eate, but ye haue not ynough: ye drinke, but ye are not filled: ye clothe you, but ye be not warme: and he that earneth wages, putteth the wages into a broken bagge.
7 Van Pakai chun hitin aseiye: Ipiti nahiu ham phaten kiveuvin!
Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Consider your owne wayes in your hearts.
8 Tun thinglhang langa kal’uvin, thing gasuivin lang, ka in sa phauvin. Chutileh keima kalung lhaiding chule kaloupi thei ding ahi, tin Pakai in aseiye.
Goe vp to the mountaine, and bring wood, and build this House, and I wil be fauourable in it, and I will be glorified, sayth the Lord.
9 Tohga tampi nakineppi uve, ahinlah na vaicha cheh jouve. Chule na tohga’u in nahin pohlut tengu, ka sem mangpeh jitaove. Ipijha ham? Ajeh chu ka in ase san akijamin, ahinlah nang ho amitaki’in ama in nomtah tah kisahnan naki salel uve, tin Van Pakai sepai chun aseiye.
Ye looked for much, and lo, it came to litle: and when ye brought it home, I did blowe vpon it. And why, sayth the Lord of hostes? Because of mine House that is waste, and ye runne euery man vnto his owne house.
10 Nang ho jeh'a van mun jousen gotwi daitwi atuhkih’a, chule leiset in jong ga asemdoh lou ahi.
Therefore the heauen ouer you stayed it selfe from dewe, and the earth stayed her fruite.
11 Na louma dung jouse le na thinglhang jouseuva nichang kasat sahding – hiche nichang sat chun chang jouse agotsah ding, lengpi phung jouse jong, olive phung jouse jong, chule muchi chivo dang jouse jong agotlhah sah soh ding, hichun nang le na gancha jong kel natohsah diu, chule na tohga jouseu jong aboncha asuhset soh kei ding ahi.”
And I called for a drought vpon the land, and vpon the mountaines, and vpon the corne, and vpon the wine, and vpon the oyle, vpon all that the ground bringeth foorth: both vpon men and vpon cattell, and vpon all the labour of the hands.
12 Chuin Shealtiel chapa Zerubbabel le thempu chungnung Jehozadak chapa Jeshua chuleh ahingdoh Pathen mite amoh chengin Pakai a Pathen’u thusei anit tauvin ahi. Pakai a Pathenun ahinsol Haggai themgao thusei ajah doh-u chun mipin Pakai aging cheh taove.
When Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, and Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest with all the remnant of the people, heard the voyce of the Lord their God, and the wordes of the Prophet Haggai (as the Lord their God had sent him) then the people did feare before the Lord.
13 Hijeh chun Pakai thangkouva pang Haggai chun mipi jaha Pakai thupeh chu hitin: “Keiman ka umpi jing nauve, tin Pakai in aseiye,” atin ahi.
Then spake Haggai the Lords messenger in the Lords message vnto the people, saying, I am with you, sayth the Lord.
14 Hijeh chun Pakai in Judah gamvaipo Shealtiel chapa Zerubbabel lungthim ahin, thempu chungnung Jehozadak chapa Jeshua lunghtim ahin, chuleh Pathen mite ahingdoh amoh chengse lunghtim atildoh in ahi. Hiti chun van Pakai, a Pathenu hou in chu asapan taovin ahi.
And the Lord stirred vp the spirite of Zerubbabel, the sonne of Shealtiel a prince of Iudah, and the spirit of Iehoshua the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, and they came, and did the worke in the House of the Lord of hostes their God.
15 Darius lengvaipoh kal kumni lhinna, lhalam som ni le khat nia atohpat’u ahi.
In the foure and twentieth day of the sixt moneth, in the second yeere of King Darius,
