After many dayes, the worde of the Lord came to Eliiah, in the third yeere, saying, Goe, shewe thy selfe vnto Ahab, and I will sende rayne vpon the earth.
2 Hichun Elijah jong Ahab kom’ah achen ahi. A langkhat na Samaria khopia chun kel ana khoh lheh jing in ahi.
And Eliiah went to shew himselfe vnto Ahab, and there was a great famine in Samaria.

And Ahab called Obadiah the gouernour of his house: (and Obadiah feared God greatly:

For when Iezebel destroyed the Prophets of the Lord, Obadiah tooke an hundreth Prophets, and hid them, by fiftie in a caue, and he fed them with bread and water.)
5 Ahab in Obadiah kom’ah, “Chen lang gamsung jouse ga kholsoh kei jin twinah jouse gaven chuleh phaicham jouse jong gachon soh keijin, ijeh nem itileh ham hing pouna munkhat beh imudoh uva ka sakol holeh sakol pol phabep beh i-hinso thei khat diuham,” ati.
And Ahab saide vnto Obadiah, Goe into the land, vnto all the fountaines of water, and vnto all the riuers, if so be that we may finde grasse to saue the horses and the mules aliue, lest we depriue the lande of the beastes.
6 Hitichun amani chu gamsung khol ding chun akihom khen lhonin, Ahab jong amatah akipan in gamkai lang khat cheh jonin aki homkhen lhon tan ahi.
And so they deuided the lande betweene them to walke thorowe it. Ahab went one way by him selfe, and Obadiah went another way by him selfe.

And as Obadiah was in the way, behold, Eliiah met him: and he knew him, and fell on his face, and said, Art not thou my lord Eliiah?
8 Elijah in, “Ka hinai tun chen lang napupa kom’ah, ‘Elijah hikom’ah aum’e’ ga tin,” ati.
And he answered him, Yea, goe tell thy lord, Behold, Eliiah is here.
9 Ahivangin Obadiah chun, “Ipi pen tah’a koiman chonset na kaneiya, nangman na sohpa keima hi, Ahab khutna nei peh doh’a ama thasah ding neiti ham?” ati.
And he said, What haue I sinned, that thou wouldest deliuer thy seruant into the hande of Ahab, to slay me?
10 “Hingjing Pakai na Pathen min’a kasei ahi, kapu Ahab in nangma holnan leiset chunga lenggam jouse le nam jouse hi kolkim vella ahol soh ahitai. Elijah hikom ah aumpoi tihi ama kom alhut teng ule hiche lenggam mite chu aki hahsel sahji ahi.
As the Lord thy God liueth, there is no nation or kingdome, whither my lorde hath not sent to seeke thee: and when they sayd, He is not here, he tooke an othe of the kingdome and nation, if they had not found thee.
11 Ahinla tun nangman napupa jah’a, ‘Elijah hikom ah aum’e’ ga tin neitin.
And now thou sayest, Goe, tell thy lorde, Beholde, Eliiah is here.
12 Ahin nangma ka dalhah lhah teng lhagao vin nangma ka het khahlouna mun khat ah, nalhoh mang kit’in tin, Ahab in nangma na mudoh lou ding ahi. Hiteng chuleh na sohpa keima hi Pathen gingtah mi kahi vang'in Ahab chun ei thalo tei ding ahi.
And when I am gone from thee, the Spirit of the Lord shall cary thee into some place that I doe not know: so when I come and tell Ahab, if he cannot finde thee, then wil he kill me: But I thy seruant feare the Lord from my youth.
13 Jezebel lengnun Pakai Themgao te thagam dia agot laiya, thilsoh chu koiman na jah’a aseilou ham? Keiman themgao ho jakhat chu songko nia kana seldoh’a an le twi kana peh ahi.
Was it not tolde my lord, what I did when Iezebel slew the Prophets of the Lord, how I hid an hundreth men of the Lordes Prophets by fifties in a caue, and fed them with bread and water?
14 Ahin tun nangin chenlang napupa jaha, ‘Elijah hikom ah aum’e,’ gatin nati. Hepu, hichu ka seileh Ahab in eitha teitei ding ahi,” ati.
And now thou sayest, Go, tel thy lord, Behold, Eliiah is here, that he may slay me.
15 Ahinlah Elijah in, “Keima a-angsung’a kadin jing, Pakai thanei pen minna kihahsel’a kasei ahi, tuni tah’a hi Ahab chu keiman ka kimupi tei ding ahi,” ati.
And Eliiah said, As the Lord of hostes liueth, before whome I stand, I will surely shewe my selfe vnto him this day.
16 Hijeh chun Obadiah in Ahab kom’ah, “Elijah ahung’e,” aga tin ahileh, Ahab chu Elijah toh kimuto dingin achen ahi.
So Obadiah went to meete Ahab, and tolde him: And Ahab went to meete Eliiah.
17 Ahab in amuphat in ahin samin, “Israel suboi jingpa nangma na hung hinam?” atin ahi.
And when Ahab saw Eliiah, Ahab said vnto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?
18 Elijah in adonbut in, “Keiman Israel kasuboi poi, nangma le na insung mite in na suhboi ahibouve, ajeh chu nangin Pakai thupeh nitlouvin, Baal semthu Pathen joh na hou uvin ahi.
And he answered, I haue not troubled Israel, but thou, and thy fathers house, in that ye haue forsaken the commandements of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim.
19 Tun Israelte jouse Carmel mol’ah khom in, Baal themgao jali le somnga toh Asherah themgao jali Jazebel in avah ho chu kouvin,” ati.
Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel vnto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal foure hundreth and fiftie, and the prophets of the groues foure hundreth, which eate at Iezebels table.
20 Hiti chun Ahab in Israel mipi hole themgao hochu Carmel mol ah akou khom in ahi.
So Ahab sent vnto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together vnto mount Carmel.
21 Hichun Elijah chu amaho masang ah ading doh in, “Phat i-chanpi hi lunggel khenna nei louva lungni pu’a naum jom jing nahlai diuham? Pakai hi Pathen ahi natiu leh jui jeng’un, ahinla Baal hi pathen ahi natiu leh jui jeng’un,” atin ahi. Ahinlah mipi chu athipchet jeng un ahi.
And Eliiah came vnto all the people, and said, How long halt ye betweene two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal be he, then goe after him. And the people answered him not a worde.
22 Hijou chun Elijah in amaho kom’ah asei tai, “Pakai themgao aki hinghoiya keima changbou kahi tai, Baal doi themgao ho vang jali le somnga alhing uve.
Then said Eliiah vnto the people, I onely remayne a Prophet of the Lord: but Baals prophets are foure hundreth and fiftie men.

Let them therefore giue vs two bullockes, and let them chuse the one, and cut him in pieces, and lay him on the wood, but put no fire vnder, and I will prepare the other bullocke, and lay him on the wood, and will put no fire vnder.
24 Hijou teng chuleh na pathen’u min kou un, chule keiman ka Pakai min kakou ding ahi. Hiteng chuleh mei konga hin donbut pen penchu, Pathen dih ahi ti hetna ahi jenge,” ati. Hichu mipi hon a-nop peh tauvin ahi.
Then call ye on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and then the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered, and sayde, It is well spoken.
25 Hichun Elijah in Baal themgao ho kom ah, “Nangho atamjo nahiuvin, bol masauvin,” ati. Hichun bongchal khat joh chu kilhen unlang kisem un, na pathen’u chu kou’un, amavang thinglom chung’a chun mei tih hih un,” ati.
And Eliiah said vnto the prophets of Baal, Chuse you a bullocke, and prepare him first, (for ye are many) and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire vnder.
26 Hiti chun amahon bongchal khat chu alheng un, athat un, asem toh un, maicham chung achun akoiyun, jingkah’a pat sun gei jin, “O Baal neihouvun” tin apeng peng jeng tauvin ahi. Hijou chun amaho alam’un, maicham vella chun asuh chop atou chop jing un ahi.
So they tooke the one bullocke, that was giuen them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal, from morning to noone, saying, O Baal, heare vs: but there was no voyce, nor any to answere: and they leapt vpon the altar that was made.
27 Sun kim ahung hi phat’in, Elijah chun amaho chu atot in, “Na hasap jep’u ngai inte ajeh chu ama pathen ahin, asun imut phat ahi loule, aki choldo phat ahilou leh akhol jin pet ahiloule, a imut pet hija suhkhah ngai himai thei ahi,” ati peh’e.
And at noone Eliiah mocked them, and said, Crye loude: for he is a god: either he talketh or pursueth his enemies, or is in his iourney, or it may be that he sleepeth, and must be awaked.
28 Hijeh chun amahon, ahasap cheh, aha sap cheh jeng un chuleh achon na’u dungjuijin chemcha le chamjam in athi’u ahung kikhodoh masang sen aki at-chen chen jeng un ahi.
And they cryed loude, and cut them selues as their maner was, with kniues and launcers, till the blood gushed out vpon them.
29 Hiti chun nilhah lam kilhai phatdon geiyin akap’un apengun, ahivangin, ogin ima la aja pouvin i-macha donbut na amu deh pouvin ahi.
And when midday was passed, and they had prophecied vntil the offring of the euening sacrifice, there was neither voyce, nor one to answere, nor any that regarded.
30 Chutah chun Elijah jong chun mipi jouse jah’a, “Nei hin nai lut uvin,” atileh mipi abonchauvin ahenga ahung ki khinlut soh tauve. Hichun Elijah chun Pakai maicham akivo chimsa chu asem phan ahi.
And Eliiah said vnto all the people, Come to me. And all the people came to him. And he repayred the altar of the Lord that was broken downe.
31 Hichun aman Israel phungkhat cheh thalheng dingin songtum somle ni ana lhoh khom’in ahi.
And Eliiah tooke twelue stones, according to the nomber of the tribes of the sonnes of Iaakob, (vnto whome the worde of the Lord came, saying, Israel shalbe thy name)
32 Chuleh song tumho chunga chun Pakai min in maicham anathah semin ahi.
And with the stones he buylt an altar in the Name of the Lord: and he made a ditch round about the altar, as great as woulde conteine two measures of seede.
33 Elijah chun thinglom jong chu agol gol in ajamin chuin bongchal chu asemtel tel’in, thinglom chunga chun ajamtan ahi. Hichun Elijah in asei jin, “Twi dimset set bel li gadom uvin lang, pumgo thilto chung le thinglom chunga chun chap kot sohkei jun,” ati.
And he put the wood in order, and hewed the bullocke in pieces, and layd him on the wood,
34 Hichu aboljou un, Elijah in, “Bol kit uvin,” atin ahileh ama hon avellin abolkit tauve. Aman asol kit’in, “Thumvei lhin nan ga bol kit uvin,” atia ahileh mihon jong athumvei lhinan abolkit tauve.
And said, Fill foure barrels with water, and powre it on the burnt offring and on the wood. Againe he said, Doe so againe. And they did so the second time. And he sayde, Doe it the third time. And they did it the third time.
35 Hiti chun maicham kimvel a chun twi along dimset tan, twilam jong chu twi adimset tan ahi.
And the water ran round about the altar: and he filled the ditch with water also.
36 Nilhah lang pumgo thilto phat donin, Elijah themgao pachu maicham muna akal touvin atao tan ahi. “Vo Pakai Abraham Pathen, Isaac Pathen, Jacob Pathen tuni nikho’a hin nangma hi Israel Pathen nahina leh keima hi nasohpa kahina hinphong doh in, hicheho jouse hi nangma thupeh’a kana bol ahi jong hi hinphong doh in.
And when they should offer the euening sacrifice, Eliiah the Prophet came, and sayd, Lord God of Abraham, Izhak and of Israel, let it be knowen this day, that thou art the God of Israel, and that I am thy seruant, and that I haue done all these things at thy commandement.
37 “Vo Pakai neihin donbut in! Hiche mite hin nangma hi Pakai Pathen na hin chule nang in alungthim’u hi nanga dinga nale heipeh’u ahitai tihi ahet doh diu ahi,” ati.
Heare me, O Lord, heare me, and let this people know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart againe at the last.
38 Chutah chun Pakaiya konin meikong ahung lenglhan, pumgo thilto bongchal sa chu aka vam jengin, thinglom jong akavam jeng in, leivui jong aleo go jengin, twilam’a twivei jeng jong chu ahul go hel jing in ahi.
Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt offring, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked vp the water that was in the ditche.
39 Mipin hiche thilsoh hi amudoh phat uvin, amai’u tol’ah asulut cheh uvin hitin aseitauve, “Pakai amahi Pathen ahi, ahiye, Pakai hi Pathen ahi,” atiuve.
And when all the people sawe it, they fell on their faces, and saide, The Lord is God, the Lord is God.
40 Hijou chun Elijah in mipi ho chu thu apen, “Baal themgao hochu man’un, khatcha jong lhaso hih’un,” ati. Hichun mipi hon amaho chu aman’un, Elijah in Kishon phaichama apui suh in abonchauvin athat gam tan ahi.
And Elijah said vnto them, Take the prophets of Baal, let not a man of them escape. and they tooke them, and Eliiah brought them to the brooke Kishon, and slewe them there.
41 Chuin Elijah chun Ahab komah, “Chenlang an ga nen lang twi ga don tan ajeh chu keiman gojuh na dinga van kithin husa kajatai,” ati.
And Eliiah sayde vnto Ahab, Get thee vp, eate and drinke, for there is a sound of much rayne.
42 Hitichun Ahab jong achen an anen twi adon in ahi. Ahinla Elijah chu Carmel molchunga akaldoh in, tol achun akun chah kheh in, akhup teni kikah’a amai asulut in, akun kheh in ahi.
So Ahab went vp to eate and to drinke, and Eliiah went vp to the top of Carmel: and he crouched vnto the earth, and put his face betweene his knees,
43 Chuin asohpa jah’a, “Chen lang twikhanglen lam khu gave tan,” ati. Hichun asohpa jong achen agaven, Elijah kom a ahung kile kit in “Ima kamupoi” ati. Sagivei jen Elijah chun achea aga vet ding'in anasollin ahi.
And sayde to his seruant, Goe vp now and looke towarde the way of the Sea. And he went vp, and looked, and sayde, There is nothing. Againe he sayd, Goe againe seuen times.
44 Asagi vei channa chun asoh pan hitin aseiye, “Vetan, meilhang neo cha mihem khut phang tibep khat hi twikhanglen na konin ahung ki tung doh’e,” ati. Chuphat in Elijah chun asohpa jah’a, “Ahab kom achun cheloijin lang hitin hin ga seipeh in, ‘Na sakol kangtalai ah chun kaldoh inlang na inlanga cheloijin achuti louva ahile geisang le chun gojuh in na lap ding, nache theilou ding ahi, ga tipeh in,” ati.
And at the seuenth time he sayd, Behold, there ariseth a litle cloude out of the sea like a mans hand. Then he sayd, Vp, and say vnto Ahab, Make readie thy charet, and get thee downe, that the raine stay thee not.
45 Hichejou jou chun, van ahung thimcheh cheh jengin, meilom ahung kikhom khom jeng tan hui ahung nungpan tai, chuin go ha juh in ahung jun ahi. Ahab chu asakol kangtalai akitol in Jezreel henglam’ah gangtah in achetan ahi.
And in the meane while the heauen was blacke with cloudes and winde, and there was a great rayne. Then Ahab went vp and came to Izreel.
46 Hichun Pakaiyin Elijah chu thahatna jat chombeh apen, aman jong atai akigah in, Ahab masang’ah ana kheltan in Jezreel kot phunga a ana lam tin kittan ahi.
And the hand of the Lord was on Eliiah, and he girded vp his Ioynes, and ran before Ahab till he came to Izreel.
