1 Hijehchun Israelte chun abonchauvin akhangguiyu akisim soh keiyin, akisim doh jouse chu Israel Lengte thusim lekhabua akijih lut soh keiye. Judah miten Pakaiya kitah louna anei jeh-uvin Babylon gamsunga soh-changin min akaimang taove

So all Israel were recorded by their genealogies, and, behold, they are written in the book of the Kings of Israel; but [the men of] Judah were carried away into exile to Babylon for their unfaithfulness.

2 Agamsunguva hung lut kit’a akhopi dunguva hung cheng lut masaho chu thempu ho, Levi mite, houin lhacha ho, chule Israel mite adang dang ahiuve.

And the first inhabitants that [dwelt again] in their possessions in their cities, were the Israelites, the priests, the Levites, and the temple-servants.

3 Judah mite lah’a abang bang, Benjamin phunga ahin, Ephraim phunga ahin, chule Manasseh phunga ahiuvin, Jerusalem khopia ahung kitol lut’uvin chule achenguve.

And in Jerusalem dwelt some of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Menasseh.

4 Judah chapa Perez chapate lah’a inko khat hung kinungle chu achapa Bani, Bani chapa Imri, Imri chapa Omri, Omri chapa Ammihud, Ammihud chapa Uthai chu ahi.

'Uthai the son of 'Ammihud, the son of 'Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.

5 Adang inko ahung kinungle ho chu Shilon mite lah’a achapa apeng masapen Asaiah le achapate ahiuve.

And of the Shilonites: 'Assayah the first-born, and his sons.

6 Zerah phung sunga ahung kinungle chu Jevel le ainkote chengse ahiuve. Judah phung sunga ahung kinungle inko chu abonchauvin 690 alhinguvin ahi.

And of the sons of Zerach: Je'uel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

7 Benjamin phung kon’in Meshullam chapa Sallu ahin, Sallu chapa Hodaviah ahin, Hodaviah chapa Hassenuah ahin,

And of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodavyah, the son of Hassenuah,

8 Jeroham chapa Ibneiah ahin, chule Elah chu Uzzi chapa Micri chapa ahin, chule Meshullam jong chu Shephatiah chapa ahin, Shephatiah chu Reuel chapa ahin, Reuel chu Ibnijah chapa ahi.

And Yibneyah the son of Jerocham, and Elah the son of 'Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatyah, the son of Re'uel, the son of Yibniyah;

9 Amaho chengse hi ama ama insung lhah’a phung upa cheh ahiuvin, chule akhanguiyu thusim lekhabua kijih lut soh kei ahiuve. Benjamin phunga kona hung kinungle agomin inko 956 alhinguve.

And their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were chiefs of the divisions of their family divisions.

10 Thempuho lah’a hung kinungle ho chu Jedaiah le Jehoiarib toh Jakin ahiuve.

And of the priests: Jeda'yah, and Jehoyarib, and Jachin.

11 Azariah kitipa Hilkiah chapa jong chu ahin, Hilkiah chu Meshullam chapa ahi; Meshullam chu Zadok chapa ahin, Zadok chu Meraioth chapa ahi; Meraioth chu Ahitub chapa ahi. Azariah chu Pathen hou-in’a vaibol lamkai pipua pang ahiye.

And 'Azaryah the son of Chilkiyah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Merayoth, the son of Actitub, the ruler of the house of God.

12 Thempu adang hung kinungle ho chu Jehoram chapa Adaiah ahin, Jehoram hi Pashhur chapa ahin, Pashhur chu Malkijah chapa ahin, chule Aiel chapa Maasai ahin, Meshullam chu Meshillemith chapa ahin, chule Meshillemith chu Immer chapa ahi.

And 'Adayah the son of Jerocham, the son of Pashchur, the son of Malkiyah, and Ma'sai the son of 'Adiel, the son of Jachzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer:

13 Hicheng tilouvin jong thempu adang ahung kinungle agomin mi 1,760 ahiuve. Amaho hi apu apauva ainsung kailhah’a phung upa chengse ahiuvin, chule mi hangsan ngen jong ahiuve. Chule amaho hi Pathen houin sunga natonga mopohna nei cheh ahiuve.

And their brethren, chiefs of their family divisions, were one thousand and seven hundred and sixty, very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.

14 Levi phunga mite chu Hasshub chapa Shemaiah ahin, Hasshub chu Azrikam chapa ahi; Hazrikam chu Hashabiah chapa ahin, Hashabiah chu Merari chapate lah’a khat ahi.

And of the Levites: Shema'yah the son of Chasshub, the son of 'Azrikam, the son of Chashabyah, of the sons of Merari;

15 Bakbakkar, Herish leh Galal jong ahiuvin, chutengle Mica chapa Mattaniah ahin, Mica chu Zicri c hapa ahin, Zicri chu Asaph chapa ahi.

And Bakbakkar, Cheresh, and Galal, and Matthanyah the son of Micha, the son of Zichri, the son of Assaph;

16 Chule Shemaiah chapa Obadiah ahin, Shemaiah chu Galal chapa ahi; Galal chu Jeduthun chapa ahin, chule Asa chapa Berekiah ahi; Berekiah chu Elkaneh chapa ahin, ama hi Netophah gamsunga cheng anahi.

And 'Obadiah the son of Shema'yah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechyah the son of Assa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

17 Kulpi kelkot ngah’a pang miho chu Shallum ahin, Akkub ahin, Talmon ahin, Ahiman ahin, chule a inkoteu toh ahiuve.

And the gatekeepers were Shallum, and 'Akkub, and Talmon, and Achiman, and their brethren, Shallum being the chief;

18 Chule masang chun amaho hi niso lama lengpa kelkot ngah’in apanguve. Hiche miho hin Levi mite ngahmun kelkot jong angah’uvin ahi.

And up to this time they are in the king's gate to the eastward: they are the gatekeepers for the camps of the children of Levi.

19 Kore chapa Shallum ahin, Kore chu Ebiasaph chapa ahin; Korah phunggui akon ahi. Ama le ainkote, Korah mite chengse chu houin kinbol’in apu apateu Pakai ngahmun ngah’a apan banguvin apanguve.

And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebyassaph, the son of Korach, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korchites, being over the work of the service, were the watchmen at the threshold of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the camp of the Lord, were the watchmen at the entrance [thereof].

20 Masanglaiya chu Eleazar chapa Phinehas kitipa hi amaho kulpi kelkot mopoa anapang ji ahi; hijeh chun Pakaiyin jong amapa chu ana umpi jing jenge.

And Phinehas the son of El'azar was the ruler over them in times past; [and] the Lord was with him.

21 Chule hiche jou chun Zechariah kitipa Meshelemiah chapa chu kikhopna ponbuh kotphunga kot ngah’in anapang jin ahi.

[And] Zechariah the son of Meshelemyah was gatekeeper at the entrance of the tabernacle of the congregation.

22 Chuche laichun hongcha kelkot dung ngah dinga kilhengdoh miho mong mong chu mihem 212 alhinguvin ahi; chule amaho hi akhangguiyu kisimna’a akho kho uva kisim soh kei ahiuve. David le mitva neipa Samuel chun amaho hi akitah jeh’uva apu apateu ho chu hitobang apan mun’uva hi apansah lhon ahiuve.

All of these selected to be gatekeepers at the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were recorded according to their genealogy in their villages; [and they were] those [whom] David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their trust.

23 Hijeh’a chu amaho le son chilhahho chu Pakai hou-in, ponbuh’a hou-in kelkot phung dung ngah’a in-ngah’a apansah’u ahiye.

Both they and their children had the oversight over the gates of the house of the Lord, [namely, ] the house of the tabernacle, as watches.

24 Hiche kelkot dunga kot ngah’a pang ho chu niso lam, nilhum lam, Sahlam le lhang lam’a pang soh keiyuva, mun lia pang ahiuvin ahi.

On four quarters were the gatekeepers, toward the east, the west, the north, and the south.

25 Amaho kithopi din ainkoteu, akho mun cheh’a hunguva ni sagi gia amaho hi ahung panhu jing jenguvah ahi.

And their brethren, who were in their villages, had to come after every seven days from time to time in common with these.

26 Kelkot ngah’a pang lamkai cheh Levi mi li ho chu indan jouse leh Pathen hou-in sunga thil kibol jouse ngah’a jong pang ahiuve.

For in [their] trust were these four chief gatekeepers— these Levites, and they were [appointed] over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.

27 Amaho hi Pathen hou-in kimvel a geh jiuva, hitia hi amaho chunga in-nga kiti mong mong chu kikoiya, jingkah seh leh kot ahon jiu ahi.

And they lodged round about the house of God; because upon them rested the duty of watching, and they had the supervision of the opening thereof each and every morning.

28 Kelkot ngah’a pang mi phabep khat chu hou-in kinbolna kimangji manchah thil le lo simtoh’in apang jiuvin ahi; ijeh-inem itileh hitobang thilkeo ho chu akilah doh le akikoi lut chan’a amanlouna dinga simtoh ji ji ngai monga ahi.

And some of them had the charge of the vessels for the service; for by number did they bring them in, and by number did they carry them out.

29 Midang ho jong chu thilkeo dang le manchah thil thengho, changbong ding le lengpitwi, thaotwi, gimnamtuui le adang dang lhutnam ding anamtuui ho vetup din apansah’uvin ahi.

Some of them also were appointed over the vessels, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

30 Hinlah thempuho chu lhutnam ding gimnamtwi chohhal din apansah’uve.

And some of the sons of the priests prepared the mixture of the spices.

31 Levi mi Mattithiah kitipa leh Korah insung kon Shallum chapa apeng masapen pachu changlhah pheng semna din avaibol’in apangin ahi.

And Matthithyah, one of the Levites, who was the first-born of Shallum the Korchite, had the trust over the meat-offerings that were baked in the pans.

32 Chujongle Kohath phunga kon mi phabep jong chu cholngah nikho seh leh todoh ding changlhah semin apanguvin ahi.

And others of their brethren, of the sons of the Kehathites, were over the orders of the shew-bread, to prepare it every sabbath.

33 Levi miho lah’a tumging/lathem tah tah ho chu hou-in sung dan’a acheng den jenguvin ahi. Amaho hi hou-in kinbolna ho’a ongthol’in aum theiyuve; ijeh-inem itileh amaho hi asun ajan a lasa pang pang jengji ahiuvin ahi.

But these the singers, the chiefs of the divisions of the Levites, remained in the chambers free of service; for day and night were they obliged to engage in that work.

34 Mi hichengse hi Jerusalem Levi miho apu apauva ainsung lhah cheh’a phung upa jeng ahiuve.

These are the chiefs of the divisions of the Levites, being the chiefs for their generations: these dwelt at Jerusalem.

35 Gibeon pa Jeiel chu Gibeon khopi anachengin ahi. Ajinu min chu Maacah ahin,

And in Gib'on dwelt the father of Gib'on, Je'iel; and the name of his wife was Ma'achah;

36 Chule achapa apeng masapen chu Abdon ahiye. Jeiel chapate adangho chu Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

And his first-born son was 'Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Ba'al, and Ner, and Nadab,

37 Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, chule Mikloth ahiuve.

And Gedor, and Achyo, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.

38 Mikloth hi Shimeam pa ahiye. Inko hijat hi Jerusalem khopia ki-inmai ngatto cheh’in anachenguve.

And Mikloth begat Shimam. And they also dwelt alongside of their brethren at Jerusalem, with their brethren.

39 Ner hin Kish ahingin, Kish in Saul ahinge. Saul’in Jonathan, Malkishua, Abinadab, chule Eshbaal ahinge.

And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jehonathan, and Malki-shua', and Abinadab, and Eshba'al.

40 Jonathan chu Merib-Baal pa ahin, chule Merib-Baal chu Micah pa ahiye.

And the son of Jehonathan was Merib-ba'al: and Merib-ba'al begat Michah.

41 Micah chapate chu Pithon ahin, Melech ahin, Tahrea ahin, chule Ahaz ahiye.

And the sons of Michah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Thachrea'.

42 Ahaz hi Jadah pa ahi. Jadah chu Alemeth, Azmaveth, chule Zimri pa ahi. Zimri chu Moza pa ahi.

And Achaz begat Ja'rah; and Ja'rah begat 'Alemeth, 'Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;

43 Moza chu Binea pa ahi. Binea chapa chu Rephaiah ahin, Rephaiah chapa chu Eleasah ahin, chule Eleasah chapa chu Azel ahiye.

And Moza begat Bin'a; ! and Rephayah his son, El'assah his son, Azel his son.

44 Azel hin chapa gup ahingin, aminu chu Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheriah, Obadiah, chule Hanan ahiuve. Amaho chengse hi Azel chapate jeng ahiuve.

And Azel had six sons, and these are their names, 'Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and She'aryah, and 'Obadiah, and Chanan: these were the sons of Azel.
