And David and the heads of the host separate for service, of the sons of Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun, who are prophesying with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals; and the number of the workmen is according to their service.

2 Asaph chapate Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah chule Asarelah in jong a pau maikainan lengpa thupeh dungjuiyin kipana thupha chu alhangsap uve.

Of sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah; sons of Asaph [are] by the side of Asaph, who is prophesying by the side of the king.

3 Heduthun chapate, Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshiah, Shimei, Hashabiah chule Mattithah mi gup cheng hin jong a pau makainan semjang gin ngei, thangvah le vahchoi toh thon kipana thupha sapphong toh thon Pathen athangvah uve.

Of Jeduthun, sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, [and Shimei, and] Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, by the side of their father Jeduthun; he is prophesying with a harp, for giving of thanks and of praise for YHWH.

4 Heman chapate chu Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romam’ti-e’zer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir chule Mahazioth cheng hi ahiuve.

Of Heman, sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth;

5 Lengpa Themgao a pang Heman hin Pakaiya a konin chapa Somle li le chanu thum ahing e.

all these [are] sons of Heman, seer of the king in the things of God, to lift up a horn; and God gives fourteen sons and three daughters to Heman.

6 Heman le achapate chu Houin sunga tumging thei, Selangdah gin ngei, Semjang sai chule khutbeh a Pakai vahchoina lamkaiya pang ahiuve. Chule ijakaiyin, Asaph, Jeduthun chule Heman jong lengpa toh aki thukop jing uve.

All these [are] by the side of their father in the song of the house of YHWH, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God; by the side of the king [are] Asaph, and Jeduthun, and Heman.

7 Amaho insung hi Pakai vahchoi na mun a tumging sai ding mong a hung kitillu ahi. Abonchauvin tumging sai thei cheh mi Jani somget le get alhing uve.

And their number, with their brothers taught in the song of YHWH—all who are intelligent—[is] two hundred and eighty-eight.

8 Mi hichengse hi teh le khang hihen jilkung le simlai umlouvin athepna cheh uva apang un chuleh vang kibang in akisan cheh uve.

And they cause lots to fall, charge next to [charge], the small as well as the great, the intelligent with the learner.

9 Mi jani somget le get ho hin, chapa somle ni cheh in asauvin, hichengse ho hi hop somni le li in aki homson uvin asopite cheng to vang akisan uve. Vang kisan masapen chu Asaph chilhah lah a Joseph le asopite ahiuvin. Anina a vang kisan chu Gedaliah le asopite ahi,

the fifth, Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

the sixth, Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

14 a sagi channa Asarelahz,

the seventh, Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

15 a get channa Jessiah,

the eighth, Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

16 a ko channa Mattaniah,

the ninth, Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

17 a som channa Shimei,

the tenth, Shimei, his sons and his brothers—twelve:

18 a somle khat na Uzziel,

eleventh, Azareel, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

19 a somle ni na Hashabiah,

the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

20 a somle thumna Shubael,

for the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

21 a somle li na Mattithiah,

for the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

22 a somle nga na Jerimoth,

for the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

23 a somle gup na Hannaniah,

the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

24 a somle sagi na Joshbekashah,

the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

25 a somle get na Hanani,

the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

26 a somle ko na Mallothi,

the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

27 a somni na Eliathah,

the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

28 a somni le khat na Hothir,

the twenty-first to Hothir, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

29 a somni le ni na Giddalti,

the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

30 a somni le thumna Mahazioth,

the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers—twelve;

31 a somni le li na Romamti-ezer.
