< Ephisus 2 >

1 Na tatkhialna uh te le na mawna uh te sung ah na thi zo uh a, tua pan in hong nungtasak kik hi;
And so God has given life to you Gentiles also, who were once dead in your trespasses and sins,
2 A bosa hun sung ah leitung ngeina bang in ahizong, hui sung a om vangletna a ukpa ngeina bang in ahizong in, thu ni ngawl tate sung ah na a seam thaa ngeina bang in ahizong, note na nungta ngei uh hi: (aiōn g165)
in which you passed your lives after the way of this world, under the sway of the Prince of the Powers of the Air, the spirit who is now working among the sons of disobedience. (aiōn g165)
3 Eite zong ngualdang te bangma in a bosa hun sung ah cilesa deina sung ah i nungta a, i pumpi le i thinsung i uk teng i kicingsak hi; taciang cilesa ngeina bang in thin-ukna i tate i hihi.
And among them we all once passed our lives, indulging the passions of our flesh, carrying out the dictates of our senses and temperament, and were by nature the children of wrath like all the rest.
4 Ahihang thuthiamna taw a dim Pathian in itna lianpi taw hong it hi,
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,
5 Mawna sung ah i thi laitak in, Christ taw hong nungta khawmsak hi, thuthiamna tungtawn in ngupna na nga uh hi;
even while we were dead in our trespasses, made us live together with Christ (it is by grace you have been saved).
6 Taciang hong tho khawmsak zo a, Christ Jesus sung ah van ah hong to khawmsak hi:
together with him He raised us from the dead, and together with Christ Jesus seated us in the heavenly realm,
7 Tua thu sia hongpai tu hun sung ah eite tung ah ama thuthiamna i a lamdang hauna sia a phatna sung ah Christ Jesus tungtawn in hong lak thei natu a hihi. (aiōn g165)
in order that he might show to the ages to come the amazing riches of his grace by his goodness to us in Christ Jesus. (aiōn g165)
8 Banghangziam cile note sia thuthiamna hang in upna tungtawn in ngupna na nga zo uh hi; taciang tua ngupna sia note pan in hong piang hi ngawl hi: hi sia in Pathian letsong a hihi:
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is God’s gift.
9 Sepna hang hi ngawl hi, tua ahikom kuama ki suantak tu hi ngawl hi.
It is not of works, so that any one can boast of it;
10 Banghangziam cile eite sia Pathian i khutma te i hihi, Christ Jesus sung ah nasep pha te a seam tu in a ki bitphua te i hihi, tua nasep pha te sung ah i nuntak thei natu in Pathian in hong ciangtan hi.
for we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good deeds, which God predestined us to make our daily way of life.
11 Tua ahikom a bosa hun sung ah note sia cilesa deina taw Gentile mite na hi uh a, cilesa deina taw in khut taw vunteap tan te in vunteap tan ngawl te, hong ci uh hi, ci phawk tawntung tavun;
Do not forget then, that you Gentiles in the flesh, who are called "uncircumcision" by the "circumcision" made in flesh by man’s hand,
were once upon a time without Christ, aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, strangers to the covenants of the Promise, without hope and without God in the world.
13 Nidang in note sia a khuala mama na ah na om ngei uh a, Christ thisan tungtawn in hong naisak kik a, tu in Christ Jesus sung ah na om uh hi.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near in the blood of Christ.
14 Banghangziam cile Ama sia i thinnopna hi a, Ama in pumkhat in hong vawt hi, taciang i ki laklaw ah hong khak kidalna sia baltham zo hi;
For he is our Peace, who has made the two of us Jew and Gentile one, and has broken down the party-wall of partition between us.
15 Ama in ki ngalvawtna, biakna ngeina sung a om thupiak te sia Ama pumpi sung ah bosak siat zo hi; banghangziam cile Ama sung ah mihing ni sia mihing thak khat vawt tu in kilemna vawt hi;
In his own body he abolished the cause of our enmity, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, in order to make the two into one new man in himself, so making peace.
16 Taciang thinglamte tungtawn in mihing ni sia Pathian tung ah pumpi khat hi tu a, kilemna vawtsak tu in, ki ngalvawtna that hi:
Thus he reconciled us both in one body to God by his cross, on which he slew our enmity.
17 Taciang a khualapi a om note le a nai na a om te tung ah Christ hongpai a, kilemna thu hong hil hi.
So he came preaching "Peace" to you Gentiles who were afar off, and "Peace" to us Jews who were near;
18 Banghangziam cile Christ tungtawn in ahizong, Thaa khat tungtawn in ahizong, Pa kung ah i tum thei hi.
because it is through him that we both have access in one spirit to the Father.
19 Tua ahikom, tu in note sia peamta te le ngamdang mite na hi nawn bua uh hi, ahihang mithiangtho te taw ngam khat i mi le Pathian innkuanpui na hi uh hi;
Take notice then that no longer are you strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household.
20 Taciang note sia sawltak te le kamsang te i phungkawng tung ah a kisa te na hi uh a, Jesus Christ ama cikteak sia a lianbel phungkawng a hihi;
You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner-stone.
21 Ama sung ah innpi theampo phatak in ki zom dimdiam a, Topa sung ah biakinn thiangtho a hi tu in na khang khawm tek uh hi:
In him the whole building, fitly framed together, rises into a holy temple in the Lord;
22 Ama sung ah note sia Thaa tungtawn in Pathian om natu in munkhat ah a kisa khawm te na hi uh hi.
and in him you, too, are continuously built together for a dwelling- place of God through his Spirit.
