< Saam 53 >
1 Thlak qaw ingtaw ak kawk khuiawh, “Khawsa am awm hy,” tihy. Vemih thlangkhqi taw ak plawcikhqi na awm unawh, a khawboe qamlang awm tyih ak awm thlangkhqi na awm uhy.
[Only] foolish people say to themselves, “There is no God!” People who say that are corrupt; they commit terrible sins; there is not one of them who does what is good/right.
2 Zaaksimnaak ta nawh Khawsa ak sui, ak awm khoem hy voei nu tinawh, Khawsa ing khawk khan nakawng thlanghqing capakhqi ce nuk dan hy.
God looks down from heaven and sees humans; he looks to see if anyone is [very] wise, with the result that he seeks [to know] God.
3 Thlang boeih ing lam awhkawng pleng unawh, a cu boeih na plawci kang hawh uhy; ik-oeih leek ak sai u awm am awm hy, u pynoet ca awm am awm hy.
[But] they are all morally corrupt; no one does what is good/right.
4 Thlang ing phaihpi a ai amyihna kak thlangkhqi daih nawh Khawsa awm amak khy man ik-oeih che ak saikhqi ing a sim kaana awm kawm u nu?
Will all these evil people never learn [what God will do to them]? They act violently toward Yahweh’s people while eating the food that he provides, and they never pray to Yahweh.
5 Kqih hly kawi ama awmnaak awh kqih awmnaak ing sing khqi hawh hy. Nang anik tukkhqi a quhkhqi ce Khawsa ing hqek phang tlang hawh hy; cekkhqi ce chahqai phyih sak khqi hawh hyk ti, kawtih, cekkhqi ce Khawsa ing kawna am sui voel hy.
But [some day] those people will become terrified, like they have never been terrified before, because God will cause those who are separated from him to die, and he will [disrespect them by] scattering their bones. They have rejected God, so he will cause them to be [defeated and] completely disgraced.
6 Aw, cawhkaw Israelkhqi hulnaak ce Zion awhkawng law lah voei! Khawsa ing ak thlangkhqi zo a seen law sak tlaih awhtaw, Jacob ing zeel seitaw Israel ing ak kaw zeel sak seh.
I wish/desire that someone from Jerusalem [MTY] would come and rescue the Israeli [people]! God, when you bless your people again, [all] the Israeli [people, all the descendants of] Jacob, will rejoice.
