And David says, “This is the house of YHWH God, and this [is] the altar for burnt-offering for Israel.”
2 Te dongah David loh Israel khohmuen kah yinlai te calui ham a thui tih Pathen im sak vaengkah lungrhaih lung aka phaek aka dae la a khueh.
And David says to gather the sojourners who [are] in the land of Israel, and appoints hewers to hew hewn-stones to build a house of God.
3 Vongka thokhaih thohkhaih kah thicung ham neh hnarhui ham David loh a sikim sak dongah thi khaw puh mai tih rhohum khaw a puh coeng dongah a khiing tae lek pawh.
And David has prepared iron in abundance for nails for leaves of the gates and for couplings, and bronze in abundance—there is no weighing,
4 Lamphai thing khaw a pum tae lek pawt hil Sidoni neh Tyre lamkah a pawk pah. Lamphai thing he David ham tah thawt mai.
and cedar-trees without number, for the Zidonians and the Tyrians brought in cedar-trees in abundance to David.
5 David loh, “Ka capa Solomon he camoe tih mongkawt pueng. BOEIPA ham im a sak he khaw a ming a sang neh pantai saeh. Diklai boeih lakli ah boeimang saeh. Anih ham he ka sikim pawn eh?,” a ti. Te dongah David he a duek hlan ah a cungkuem la sikim coeng.
And David says, “My son Solomon [is] a youth and tender, and the house to be built for YHWH [is] to be made exceedingly great, for renown and for beauty to all the lands; now let me prepare for it”; and David prepares in abundance before his death.

And he calls for his son Solomon, and charges him to build a house for YHWH, God of Israel,
7 Te vaengah David loh a capa Solomon te, “Ka capa aw, kai he ka thinko ah tah ka Pathen BOEIPA ming la im sak ham om.
and David says to his son Solomon, “As for me, it has been with my heart to build a house for the Name of my God YHWH,
8 Tedae BOEIPA ol te kai taengla ha pawk tihThii khaw muep na long sak, caemtloek khaw muep na saii, ka mikhmuh ah diklai la thii muep na long sak dongah ka ming ham he im na sa mahpawh.
and the word of YHWH [is] against me, saying, You have shed blood in abundance, and you have made great wars; you do not build a house for My Name, for you have shed much blood to the earth before Me.
9 Na taengah capa na sak coeng te ta. Anih tah hlang mong la om vetih anih te a kaepvai kah a thunkha cungkuem lamloh ka duem sak ni. Solomon ngawn tah a ming khaw om vetih anih tue vaengah tah Israel te rhoepnah neh rhalmongnah ka paek ni.
Behold, a son is born to you; he is a man of rest, and I have given rest to him from all his surrounding enemies, for Solomon is his name, and I give peace and quietness to Israel in his days;
10 Anih loh ka ming ham he im a sak vetih anih te kamah taengah capa la om ni. Kai khaw a taengah a napa la ka om ni. A ram kah ngolkhoel khaw Israel soah kumhal duela ka cikngae sak ni,’ a ti.
he builds a house for My Name, and he is to Me for a son, and I [am] to him for a father, and I have established the throne of his kingdom over Israel for all time.
11 Ka capa aw na taengah BOEIPA om saeh lamtah n'thaihtak sak saeh. BOEIPA na Pathen im te na taengkah a thui bangla sa.
Now my son, YHWH is with you, and you have prospered, and have built the house of your God YHWH, as He spoke concerning you.
12 Israel soah nang n'uen vaengah he na Pathen BOEIPA kah olkhueng te ngaithuen hamla BOEIPA loh nang taengah lungmingnah neh yakmingnah m'pae bal saeh.
Only, may YHWH give wisdom and understanding to you, and charge you concerning Israel, even to keep the Law of your God YHWH;
13 BOEIPA loh Israel ham Moses a uen vanbangla oltlueh neh laitloeknah te vai hamla na ngaithuen atah na thaihtak ni. Te dongah thaahuel lamtah namning rhih boeh, rhihyawp boeh.
then you prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the judgments that YHWH charged Moses with concerning Israel; be strong and courageous; do not fear, nor be cast down.
14 Kamah kah phacipphabaem nen ni BOEIPA im hamla a soepsoei coeng he. Sui he talent thawng yakhat, cak he talent thawng thawng khat, rhohum khaw, thi khaw muep lo coeng tih a khiing tae lek moenih. Thing khaw, lungto khaw ka tawn coeng dae tomthap thil nawn.
And behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of YHWH one hundred thousand talents of gold, and one million talents of silver; and of bronze and of iron there is no weighing, for it has been in abundance; and I have prepared wood and stones, and you add to them.
15 Namah taengah bitat aka saii khaw, lungto aka dae neh kutthai khaw, thing thai khaw, bitat cungkuem dongah boeih aka cueih khaw a cungkuem la om coeng.
And with you in abundance [are] workmen, hewers and craftsmen of stone and of wood, and every skillful man for every work.
16 Sui neh, cak neh, rhohum neh, thi neh, a tarhing naa voel moenih. Thoo lamtah saii laeh. Na taengah BOEIPA om saeh,” a ti nah.
Of the gold, of the silver, and of the bronze, and of the iron, there is no number; arise and do, and YHWH is with you.”
17 Te phoeiah David loh Israel mangpa boeih te khaw a capa Solomon te bom hamla a uen.
And David gives charge to all heads of Israel to give help to his son Solomon, [saying],
18 Nangmih kah Pathen BOEIPA he nangmih taengah a om moenih a? Khohmuen khosa rhoek te ka kut dongah m'paek tih kaepvai ah khaw nangmih te n'duem sak. Te dongah khohmuen he BOEIPA mikhmuh neh a pilnam mikhmuh ah khoem uh coeng.
“Is your God YHWH not with you? Indeed, He has given rest to you all around, for He has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land has been subdued before His people.
19 Nangmih kah Pathen BOEIPA te toem hamla na thinko neh na hinglu te pae uh laeh. Thoo uh lamtah Pathen BOEIPA kah rhokso te sa uh laeh. BOEIPA kah paipi thingkawng neh Pathen kah hmuencim hnopai te BOEIPA ming ham a sak im khuila khuen ham om,” a ti nah.
Now give your heart and your soul to seek for your God YHWH, and rise and build the sanctuary of YHWH God, to bring in the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH, and the holy vessels of God, to the house that is built for the Name of YHWH.”
