1 [Tangtlaeng Laa] A dung lamloh BOEIPA nang kang khue.

“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” Out of the depths do I cry to thee, O LORD!

2 Boeipa aw ka ol he ya lamtah ka huithuinah ol te na hna phek kaeng lah.

O Lord! listen to my voice, Let thine ears be attentive to my supplication!

3 Ka Boeipa Yahovah aw thaesainah he na dawn koinih unim aka pai thai eh?

If thou, LORD, shouldst treasure up transgressions, Lord, who could stand?

4 Tedae namah taengkah khodawkngainah daengah ni n'rhih uh pueng.

But with thee is forgiveness, That thou mayst be feared.

5 Ka lamtawn BOEIPA te ka hinglu loh a lamtawn tih a ol dongah ka ngaiuep.

I trust in the LORD; my soul doth trust, And in his promise do I confide.

6 Mincang aka rhingda rhoek loh mincang a rhingda uh lakah ka hinglu loh Boeipa ni a rhingda.

My soul waiteth for the LORD More than they who watch for the morning; Yea, more than they who watch for the morning!

7 BOEIPA taengah sitlohnah neh amah taengkah te tlannah he a puh dongah ni Israel loh BOEIPA dongah a ngaiuep.

O Israel! trust in the LORD! For with the LORD is mercy, And with him is plenteous redemption.

8 Te dongah amah loh Israel te thaesainah cungkuem lamloh a lat ni.

He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
