< Joel 3 >
1 Khenah, Judah hoi Jerusalem ih tamnanawk ka hoih lethaih ni hoi atue naah loe,
“For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 prae kami boih ka pakhueng moe, Jehosaphat ih azawn tangtling ah ka hoih tathuk han; Kai ih kami hoi qawktoep kami kai mah ih Israel kaminawk pongah, to ahmuen ah nihcae hoi nawnto lok ka caek han, nihcae mah kai ih kaminawk to prae kaminawk salakah anghaehsak phang moe, ka prae doeh tapraek o.
I will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will execute judgement on them there for my people, and for my heritage, Israel, whom they have scattered amongst the nations. They have divided my land,
3 Nihcae loe kai ih kaminawk hanah taham khethaih phoisa vah pae o; tangyat zaw kami khaeah caehhaih atho ah nongpa nawkta maeto a paek o, misurtui naekhaih atho paek hanah nongpata nawkta maeto a zawh o.
and have cast lots for my people, and have given a boy for a prostitute, and sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.
4 Ue, aw Tura, Sidon hoi nangcae Philistia tuipui taengah kaom kaminawk boih, tipongah kai misa ah nang suek o loe? Ka sak ih hmuen pongah nang pathok o let han maw? Nang pathok o nahaeloe, nangmacae lu nuiah karangah kang krak o sak let han;
“Yes, and what are you to me, Tyre and Sidon, and all the regions of Philistia? Will you repay me? And if you repay me, I will swiftly and speedily return your repayment on your own head.
5 nangcae mah kai ih sui, sum kanglung hoi kahoih hmuennawk to na lak o moe, nangmacae ih tempul thungah na sin o.
Because you have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried my finest treasures into your temples,
6 Judah hoi Jerusalem ih kaminawk angmacae ih ramri hoi kangthla ah thak hanah, Grik kaminawk khaeah na zawh o.
and have sold the children of Judah and the children of Jerusalem to the sons of the Greeks, that you may remove them far from their border.
7 Khenah, na zawhhaih ahmuen hoiah nihcae to ka pathawk moe, nangmacae lu nuiah kang kraksak let han.
Behold, I will stir them up out of the place where you have sold them, and will return your repayment on your own head;
8 Na capanawk hoi na canunawk to Judah kaminawk khaeah ka zawh han; nihcae mah angthla aep ah kaom, Seba kaminawk khaeah zaw o patoeng tih, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
and I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hands of the children of Judah, and they will sell them to the men of Sheba, to a faraway nation, for the LORD has spoken it.”
9 Gentel kaminawk boih khaeah hae lok hae thui pae oh: misatuk hanah amsak oh, thacak kaminawk angthawk oh, misatuk amsak kaminawk anghnai oh, misatuk han caeh o nasoe.
Proclaim this amongst the nations: “Prepare for war! Stir up the mighty men. Let all the warriors draw near. Let them come up.
10 Laikok atokhaih taoi to sumsen ah daeng oh loe, sum kangkawn to tazae ah daeng oh: thazok kami mah tha ka cak, tiah thui nasoe.
Beat your ploughshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’
11 Nangcae Sithaw panoek ai acaengnawk boih, angzo oh, amkhueng oh loe, nawnto angcu oh. Aw Angraeng, thacak nangmah ih kaminawk to caehsak tathuk ah.
Hurry and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves together.” Cause your mighty ones to come down there, LORD.
12 Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk angthawk o nasoe, Jehosaphat ih azawn tangtling ah angzo oh; to ah kang hnut moe, ahmuen kruek ih prae kaminawk to lok ka caek han.
“Let the nations arouse themselves, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat; for there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.
13 Nihcae sethaih loe len parai boeh pongah, cakra to angnaeng oh, cang loe hmin boeh: angzo oh loe, caeh o tathuk ah; misurtui pasawhhaih ahmuen loe koi boeh pongah, tui suekhaih tabu doeh koi amthlai pok boeh.
Put in the sickle; for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full, the vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.”
14 Lokcaekhaih azawn ih, Angraeng ih ni loe zoi boeh pongah, paroeai pop, pop parai kaminawk loe, lokcaekhaih azawn ah oh o.
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
15 Ni hoi khrah to tahmuep ueloe, cakaehnawk mah aanghaih to paek o mak ai boeh.
The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.
16 Angraeng loe Zion mae hoiah hang ueloe, Jerusalem hoiah doeh hang tih; van hoi long to anghuen tih; toe Angraeng loe angmah ih kaminawk hanah abuephaih ahmuen ah om tih, Israel caanawk hanah loe thacakhaih ah om tih.
The LORD will roar from Zion, and thunder from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth will shake; but the LORD will be a refuge to his people, and a stronghold to the children of Israel.
17 To naah Kai loe, kaimah ih kaciim mae Zion ah kaom, nangcae ih Angraeng Sithaw ni, tiah na panoek o tih: Jerusalem loe ciimcai tih boeh, prae kalah kaminawk mah natuek naah doeh muk o mak ai boeh.
“So you will know that I am the LORD, your God, dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain. Then Jerusalem will be holy, and no strangers will pass through her any more.
18 To na niah loe mae mah, misurtui to tacawtsak tih, maesomnawk mah tahnutui longsak tih, Judah ih vacongnawk ah kalen parai tui to long tih; Angraeng ih im hoiah tui to puek ueloe, Shitim azawn to tui paek o tih boeh.
It will happen in that day, that the mountains will drop down sweet wine, the hills will flow with milk, all the brooks of Judah will flow with waters; and a fountain will flow out from the LORD’s house, and will water the valley of Shittim.
19 Judah kaminawk to misa ah suek o, angmacae prae thungah kaom sakpazaehaih tawn ai kaminawk to nihcae mah athii long o sak pongah, Izip loe angqai krang ueloe, Edom loe kapong sut praezaek ah om tih.
Egypt will be a desolation and Edom will be a desolate wilderness, for the violence done to the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
20 Judah loe cak poe ueloe, Jerusalem doeh adung maeto pacoeng maeto cak poe tih boeh.
But Judah will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21 Angraeng loe Zion ah oh pongah, ka ciimsak ai ih nihcae ih athii to ka ciimsak han boeh.
I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed, for the LORD dwells in Zion.”
