Mga Buhat 11
1 Karon ang mga apostoles ug ang mga kaigsuonang mga lalaki nga kinsa atua sa Judea nakadungog nga ang mga Gentil nakadawat usab sa pulong sa Dios.
Now the Apostles and the brothers who were in Judaea had news that the word of God had been given to the Gentiles.
2 Sa dihang si Pedro misaka ngadto sa Jerusalem, sila nga nasakop sa pundok sa mga tinuli nagbadlong kaniya;
And when Peter came to Jerusalem, those who kept the rule of circumcision had an argument with him,
3 miingon sila, “Nakiglambigit ka ngadto sa mga tawo nga walay mga tuli ug mikaon uban kanila!”
Saying, You went to men without circumcision, and took food with them.
4 Apan si Pedro nagsugod sa pagpasabot sa butang ngadto kanila sa han-ay; siya miingon,
But Peter gave them an account of it all in order, saying to them,
5 nag-ampo ako sa siyudad sa Jopa, ug sa kalit akong nakita ang panan-awon nga sudlanan nga nagpaubos, sama sa lapad nga palid mipaubos gikan sa langit pinaagi sa iyang upat ka mga kanto; kini mikanaog nganhi kanako.
I was in the town of Joppa, at prayer: and falling into a deep sleep, I saw in a vision a vessel like a great cloth let down from heaven, and it came down to me:
6 Gitutokan ko kini ug akong gihunahuna ang mahitungod niini; akong nakita ang mga mananap nga adunay upat ka tiil nga anaa sa kalibotan, bangis nga mga mananap, nagkamang nga mga mananap, ug mga langgam sa kawanangan.
And looking on it with attention I saw in it all sorts of beasts and birds.
7 Unya nakadungog ako ug tingog nga nagsulti nganhi kanako, “Bangon, Pedro; pag-ihaw ug kaon!”
And a voice came to my ears saying, Come, Peter; take them for food.
8 Ako miingon, “Dili gayod, Ginoo: kay wala pay dili balaan o dili hinlo nga nakasulod sa akong baba.”
But I said, No, Lord; for nothing common or unclean has ever come into my mouth.
9 Apan ang tingog mitubag usab gikan sa langit, “Unsa ang gideklara nga hinlo sa Dios ayaw tawga nga dili hinlo.”
But the voice, coming a second time from heaven, said, What God has made clean, do not you make common.
10 Kini nahitabo sa tulo ka higayon, ug unya ang tanang butang gikuha pagbalik paingon sa langit.
And this was done three times, and they were all taken up again into heaven.
11 Tan-awa, sa dili kalayoan adunay tulo ka mga tawo nga nagtindog atubangan sa balay diin atua kami; gipadala sila gikan sa Cesarea nganhi kanako.
And at that minute, three men, sent from Caesarea, came to the house where we were.
12 Ang Espiritu nagmando kanako nga mouban kanila, ug nga ako dili magbuhat ug kalainan mahitungod kanila. Kining unom ka mga igsoong lalaki mikuyog uban kanako, ug miadto kami ngadto sa balay sa tawo.
And the Spirit gave me orders to go with them, doubting nothing. And these six brothers came with me; and we went into that man's house:
13 Siya misulti kanamo giunsa niya pagkakita sa anghel nga nagtindog sa iyang balay ug nag-ingon, “Pagpadala ug mga tawo ngadto sa Jopa ug dad-a pagbalik si Simon, nga ang lahi nga ngalan mao si Pedro.
And he gave us an account of how he had seen the angel in his house, saying, Send to Joppa, and get Simon, named Peter, to come to you;
14 Siya magsulti nganha kanimo ug mensahe nga mahimong paagi nga ikaw maluwas-ikaw ug ang imong tibuok panimalay.”
Who will say words to you through which you and all your family may get salvation.
15 Sa pagsugod nako ug sulti ngadto kanila, ang Balaang Espiritu niabot kanila, sama kanato sa sinugdanan.
And, while I was talking to them, the Holy Spirit came on them, as on us at first.
16 Nahinumdom ako sa pulong sa Ginoo, giunsa niya pag-ingon, “Si Juan gayod nagbawtismo sa tubig; apan kamo pagabawtismohan sa Balaang Espiritu.”
And the words of the Lord came into my mind, how he said, The baptism of John was with water, but you will have baptism with the Holy Spirit.
17 Unya kung ang Dios naghatag kanila sa sama nga gasa isip iyang gihatag nganhi kanato sa dihang mituo kita kang Ginoong Jesu-Cristo, kinsa ba ako, nga ako makigbatok sa Dios?'”
If then God gave them, when they had faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the same as he gave to us, who was I to go against God?
18 Sa dihang ila kining nadungog nga mga butang, sila wala nibalos sa pag-ingon, apan ila hinuong gidayeg ang Dios ug miingon, “Unya ang Dios mihatag sa paghinulsol alang sa kinabuhi ngadto usab sa mga Gentil.”
And hearing these things they said nothing more, but gave glory to God, saying, Then to the Gentiles as to us has God given a change of heart, so that they may have life.
19 Busa ang mga magtutuo kansang nag-antos sa pagsugod sa kamatayon ni Esteban nga nagkatibulaag gikan sa Jerusalem-kining mga magtutuo miadto sa sama kalayo sa Fenicia, Cyprus, ug Antioquia. Misulti sila ug mensahe mahitungod kang Jesus ngadto lamang sa mga Judio, wala nay lain bisan usa.
Then those who had gone away at the time of the trouble about Stephen, went as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus, preaching to the Jews only.
20 Apan ang uban kanila, mga katawhan gikan sa Cyrus ug Cirene miabot ngadto sa Antioquia ug misulti ngadto sa mga Griyego ug giwali ang Ginoong Jesus.
But some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, when they came to Antioch, gave the good news about the Lord Jesus to the Greeks.
21 Ug ang kamot sa Ginoo nag-uban kanila; ang dakong ihap nagtuo ug mibalik ngadto sa Ginoo.
And the power of the Lord was with them, and a great number had faith and were turned to the Lord.
22 Ang balita mahitungod kanila miabot sa mga dalunggan sa simbahan sa Jerusalem: ug ilang gipadala pagawas si Barnabas sama kalayo sa Antioquia.
And news of them came to the ears of the church at Jerusalem: and they sent Barnabas as far as Antioch:
23 Sa dihang siya miabot ug nakita ang gasa sa Dios, nalipay siya; ug gidasig niya silang tanan sa pagpabilin diha sa Ginoo sa tibuok nilang kasingkasing.
Who, when he came and saw the grace of God, was glad; and he made clear to them the need of keeping near the Lord with all the strength of their hearts:
24 Kay siya maayo man nga tawo ug puno sa Balaang Espiritu ug sa pagtuo, ug daghang mga tawo nga nadugang ngadto sa Ginoo.
For he was a good man and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith: and a great number were joined to the Lord.
25 Unya si Barnabas migawas ngadto sa Tarsus para mangita kang Saulo.
Then he went on to Tarsus, looking for Saul;
26 Sa dihang iya nang nakaplagan siya, gidala niya siya ngadto sa Antioquia. Kini nahitabo, nga sa tibuok tuig ilang gitigom tanan uban ang simbahan ug nagtudlo sa daghang mga tawo. Ang mga disipulo unang gitawag nga mga Kristohanon didto sa Antioquia.
And when he had come across him, he took him to Antioch. And they were with the church there for a year, teaching the people; and the disciples were first given the name of Christians in Antioch.
27 Karon niini nga mga adlaw ang ubang mga propeta milugsong gikan sa Jerusalem ngadto sa Antioquia.
Now in those days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 Ang usa kanila, nga ginganlan ug Agabus, mitindog ug gipakita sa Espiritu nga ang usa ka dakong kagutom mahitabo sa tibuok kalibotan. Kini mahitabo sa mga adlaw ni Claudio.
And one of them, named Agabus, said publicly through the Spirit that there would be serious need of food all over the earth: which came about in the time of Claudius.
29 Busa, ang mga disipulo, isip matag-usa makahimo, ug nakahukom sa pagpadala ug tabang sa mga kaigsoonang lalaki sa Judea.
And the disciples, everyone as he was able, made a decision to send help to the brothers living in Judaea:
30 Ila kining nahimo; nagpadala sila ug kwarta sa mga pangulo pinaagi sa kamot ni Barnabas ug Saulo.
Which they did, sending it to the rulers of the church by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
