গীতসংহিতা 86
1 দাউদের একটি প্রার্থনা। হে সদাপ্রভু কর্ণপাত করো এবং আমাকে উত্তর দাও, কেননা আমি দরিদ্র এবং অভাবী।
A Prayer of David. Incline Thine ear, O LORD, and answer me; for I am poor and needy.
2 আমার জীবন সুরক্ষিত করো, কারণ আমি তোমার প্রতি বিশ্বস্ত; আমাকে রক্ষা করো কারণ আমি তোমার সেবা করি আর তোমাতে আস্থা রাখি। তুমি আমার ঈশ্বর;
Keep my soul, for I am godly; O Thou my God, save Thy servant that trusteth in Thee.
3 হে প্রভু আমার প্রতি দয়া করো, কেননা সারাদিন আমি তোমাকে ডাকি।
Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto Thee do I cry all the day.
4 তোমার দাসকে আনন্দ দাও, হে প্রভু, কারণ আমি তোমার উপর আস্থা রাখি।
Rejoice the soul of Thy servant; for unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5 হে প্রভু, তুমি, ক্ষমাশীল আর মঙ্গলময়, যারা তোমাকে ডাকে তাদের সকলের প্রতি অবিচল প্রেমে পূর্ণ।
For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to pardon, and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee.
6 আমার প্রার্থনা শোনো, হে সদাপ্রভু; আমার বিনতি প্রার্থনা শোনো।
Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend unto the voice of my supplications.
7 সংকটের দিনে আমি তোমাকে ডাকি, কারণ তুমি আমাকে উত্তর দেবে।
In the day of my trouble I call upon Thee; for Thou wilt answer me.
8 হে প্রভু, দেবতাদের মধ্যে তোমার মতো আর কেউ নেই; তোমার কর্মসকলের সঙ্গে কারও তুলনা হয় না।
There is none like unto Thee among the gods, O Lord, and there are no works like Thine.
9 সমস্ত জাতি যাদের তুমি তৈরি করেছ, হে প্রভু, তারা আসবে আর তোমার সামনে আরাধনা করবে, তারা তোমার নামের মহিমা করবে।
All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and prostrate themselves before Thee, O Lord; and they shall glorify Thy name.
10 কেননা তুমি মহান আর তুমি আশ্চর্য কাজ করে থাকো, একমাত্র তুমিই ঈশ্বর।
For Thou art great, and doest wondrous things; Thou art God alone.
11 হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাকে তোমার পথসকল শিক্ষা দাও, যেন আমি তোমার বিশ্বস্ততায় নির্ভর করতে পারি; আমাকে এক অখণ্ড হৃদয় দাও, যেন আমি তোমার নাম সম্ভ্রম করতে পারি।
Teach me, O LORD, Thy way, that I may walk in Thy truth; make one my heart to fear Thy name.
12 হে প্রভু আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি আমার সমস্ত হৃদয় দিয়ে তোমার প্রশংসা করব; চিরদিন আমি তোমার নামের মহিমা করব।
I will thank Thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify Thy name for evermore.
13 কেননা আমার প্রতি তোমার প্রেম মহান; তুমি আমাকে অতল থেকে, পাতালের গর্ভ থেকে উদ্ধার করেছ। (Sheol h7585)
For great is Thy mercy toward me; and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest nether-world. (Sheol h7585)
14 দাম্ভিক শত্রুরা আমাকে আক্রমণ করছে, হে ঈশ্বর; নিষ্ঠুর লোকেরা আমাকে হত্যা করার চেষ্টা করছে, তারা তোমাকে মান্য করে না।
O God, the proud are risen up against me, and the company of violent men have sought after my soul, and have not set Thee before them.
15 কিন্তু, হে প্রভু, তুমি স্নেহশীল এবং কৃপাময় ঈশ্বর, ক্রোধে ধীর, দয়া আর বিশ্বস্ততায় মহান।
But Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
16 আমার দিকে ফেরো আর আমার প্রতি দয়া করো; তোমার দাসের পক্ষ হয়ে তোমার পরাক্রম দেখাও; আমাকে রক্ষা করো, কারণ আমি তোমার সেবা করি, ঠিক যেমন আমার মা করেছিলেন।
O turn unto me, and be gracious unto me; give Thy strength unto Thy servant, and save the son of Thy handmaid.
17 তোমার মঙ্গলভাবের নিদর্শন আমাকে দেখাও, যেন আমার শত্রুরা সেসব দেখে ও লজ্জিত হয়, কারণ তুমি, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাকে সাহায্য করেছ আর সান্ত্বনা দিয়েছ।
Work in my behalf a sign for good; that they that hate me may see it, and be put to shame, because Thou, LORD, hast helped me, and comforted me.
