1 সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। সুর: “নিয়মের লিলি ফুল।” আসফের গীত। হে ইস্রায়েলের মেষপালক, আমাদের কথায় কর্ণপাত করো, তুমি মেষপালের মতো যোষেফকে পরিচালনা করেছ। তুমি করূবের মাঝে সিংহাসনে অধিষ্ঠিত, দীপ্ত হও
For the Leader; upon Shoshannim. A testimony. A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, Thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; Thou that art enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth.
2 ইফ্রয়িম, বিন্যামীন আর মনঃশির সামনে। তোমার পরাক্রম জাগিয়ে তোলো; এসো আর আমাদের রক্ষা করো।
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up Thy might, and come to save us.
3 হে ঈশ্বর, আমাদের পুনরুদ্ধার করো; তোমার মুখ আমাদের উপর উজ্জ্বল করো, যেন আমরা রক্ষা পাই।
O God, restore us; and cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
4 আর কত কাল, হে সদাপ্রভু, সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বর, তোমার লোকেদের প্রার্থনার বিরুদ্ধে তুমি ক্রোধে জ্বলবে?
O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt Thou be angry against the prayer of Thy people?
5 তুমি তাদের চোখের জল খেতে দিয়েছ; তুমি তাদের বাটিভর্তি চোখের জল পান করিয়েছ।
Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.
6 তুমি আমাদের প্রতিবেশীদের কাছে আমাদের উপহাসের পাত্র করে তুলেছ, আর আমাদের শত্রুরা আমাদের বিদ্রুপ করে।
Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours; and our enemies mock as they please.
7 হে বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু, আমাদের পুনরুদ্ধার করো; তোমার মুখ আমাদের উপর উজ্জ্বল করো, যেন আমরা রক্ষা পাই।
O God of hosts, restore us; and cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
8 তুমি মিশর দেশ থেকে এক দ্রাক্ষালতা নিয়ে এসেছ; অইহুদিদের দূর করে তুমি তা পুঁতেছো।
Thou didst pluck up a vine out of Egypt; Thou didst drive out the nations, and didst plant it.
9 তুমি তার জন্য জমি পরিষ্কার করেছ, আর তার শিকড় বেরিয়ে দেশ ছেয়ে গেল।
Thou didst clear a place before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land.
10 তার ছায়ায় পর্বতসকল, তার ডালপালায় সর্বোচ্চ দেবদারুবন ঢাকা পড়ল।
The mountains were covered with the shadow of it, and the mighty cedars with the boughs thereof.
11 সমুদ্র পর্যন্ত তার শাখাপ্রশাখা, আর নদী পর্যন্ত তার কাণ্ড প্রসারিত হল।
She sent out her branches unto the sea, and her shoots unto the River.
12 কেন তুমি তার প্রাচীর ভেঙে ফেলেছ যেন যেতে আসতে সব লোকেরা তার আঙুর ছেঁড়ে?
Why hast Thou broken down her fences, so that all they that pass by the way do pluck her?
13 বন্য শূকর তা ছারখার করে, আর মাঠের কীটপতঙ্গ সেখান থেকে খাবার সংগ্রহ করে।
The boar out of the wood doth ravage it, that which moveth in the field feedeth on it.
14 হে বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু, আমাদের কাছে ফিরে এসো! স্বর্গ থেকে চেয়ে দেখো! এই দ্রাক্ষালতার দিকে খেয়াল রাখো,
O God of hosts, return, we beseech Thee; look from heaven, and behold, and be mindful of this vine,
15 তোমার ডান হাত যার শিকড় বুনেছে, এই ছেলেকে তুমি নিজের জন্য বড়ো করে তুলেছ।
And of the stock which Thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that Thou madest strong for Thyself.
16 তোমার দ্রাক্ষালতাকে কেটে ফেলা হয়েছে, আগুনে পুড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে; তোমার তিরস্কারে তোমার লোকেরা বিনষ্ট হয়।
It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Thy countenance.
17 তোমার হাত তোমার ডানদিকের পুরুষের উপরে, মনুষ্যপুত্রের উপরে থাকুক যাকে নিজের জন্য বড়ো করেছ।
Let Thy hand be upon the man of Thy right hand, upon the son of man whom Thou madest strong for Thyself.
18 তখন আমরা তোমার কাছ থেকে দূরে যাব না; আমাদের সঞ্জীবিত করো, আর আমরা তোমার নামে ডাকব।
So shall we not turn back from Thee; quicken Thou us, and we will call upon Thy name.
19 হে সদাপ্রভু, সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বর, আমাদের পুনরুদ্ধার করো, তোমার মুখ আমাদের উপর উজ্জ্বল করো, যেন আমরা রক্ষা পাই।
O LORD God of hosts, restore us; cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
