গীতসংহিতা 59
1 সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। দাউদের মিকতাম। সুর “ধ্বংস কোরো না।” দাউদকে হত্যা করার জন্য শৌল যখন দাউদের গৃহে লোক পাঠিয়ে গোপনে পাহারা বসিয়েছিলেন। হে ঈশ্বর, আমার শত্রুদের কবল থেকে আমাকে উদ্ধার করো; যারা আমাকে আক্রমণ করে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে আমার উচ্চদুর্গ হও।
To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David; when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.
2 অনিষ্টকারীদের কবল থেকে আমাকে উদ্ধার করো রক্তপিপাসু লোকদের হাত থেকে আমাকে রক্ষা করো।
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
3 দেখো, কেমন তারা আমার জন্য গোপনে অপেক্ষা করে! নিষ্ঠুর লোক আমার বিরুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্র করে আমার অন্যায়ের জন্য নয়, আমার পাপের জন্য নয়, হে সদাপ্রভু।
For lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not [for] my transgression, nor [for] my sin, O LORD.
4 আমি কোনও অন্যায় করিনি, তবুও তারা আমাকে আক্রমণ করতে প্রস্তুত। ওঠো, আর আমাকে সাহায্য করো; আমার দুর্দশার দিকে তাকাও!
They run and prepare themselves without [my] fault: awake to help me, and behold.
5 তুমি, সদাপ্রভু, সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বর, তুমি ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর, জাগ্রত হও আর সমস্ত জাতিকে শাস্তি দাও; যারা দুষ্ট দেশদ্রোহী তাদের প্রতি দয়া কোরো না।
Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. (Selah)
6 তারা সন্ধ্যাবেলায় ফিরে আসে, কুকুরের মতো দাঁত খিচিয়ে, আর নগরের চারিদিকে ঘুরে বেড়ায়।
They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go about the city.
7 দেখো, তারা মুখ দিয়ে কী অশ্লীল কথা বলে, তাদের মুখের বাক্য তরোয়ালের থেকেও ধারালো, আর তারা ভাবে, “কে আমাদের কথা শুনতে পায়?”
Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords [are] in their lips: for who, [say they], doth hear?
8 কিন্তু, হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি তাদের কথায় উপহাস করবে; তুমি সেইসব জাতিকে বিদ্রুপ করবে।
But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.
9 তুমি আমার শক্তি, আমি তোমার জন্য অপেক্ষা করি; তুমি, ঈশ্বর, আমার উচ্চদুর্গ,
[Because of] his strength will I wait upon thee: for God [is] my defense.
10 আমার ঈশ্বর যার উপর আমি নির্ভর করতে পারি। ঈশ্বর আমার সামনে অগ্রসর হবেন আর যারা আমার নিন্দা করে তাদের উপর তিনি আমাকে উল্লাস করতে দেবেন।
The God of my mercy will succor me: God will let me see [my desire] upon my enemies.
11 কিন্তু তাদের হত্যা কোরো না, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমার ঢাল, নয়তো আমার লোকেরা ভুলে যাবে। তোমার পরাক্রমে তাদের উৎখাত করো আর তাদের নত করো।
Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O LORD our shield.
12 তাদের মুখের পাপের জন্য, তাদের ঠোঁটের বাক্যের জন্য, তারা তাদের গর্বে ধরা পড়ুক। তাদের অভিশাপ ও মিথ্যা উচ্চারণে,
[For] the sin of their mouth [and] the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying [which] they speak.
13 তুমি তোমার ক্রোধে তাদের গ্রাস করো, গ্রাস করো যেন তারা নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়। তখন পৃথিবীর শেষ প্রান্ত পর্যন্ত জানা যাবে যে যাকোবের ঈশ্বর শাসন করেন।
Consume [them] in wrath, consume [them], that they [may] not [be]: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob to the ends of the earth. (Selah)
14 তারা সন্ধ্যাবেলায় ফিরে আসে, কুকুরের মতো দাঁত খিচিয়ে, আর নগরের চারিদিকে ঘুরে বেড়ায়।
And at evening let them return; [and] let them make a noise like a dog, and go about the city.
15 তারা খাবারের খোঁজে এদিক-ওদিক যায় আর পরিতৃপ্ত না হলে চিৎকার করে।
Let them wander up and down for food, and grudge if they are not satisfied.
16 কিন্তু আমি তোমার পরাক্রমের গান গাইব, সকালে আমি তোমার দয়ার গান গাইব; কারণ তুমি আমার উচ্চদুর্গ, সংকটকালে আমার সহায়।
But I will sing of thy power; yes, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble.
17 তুমি আমার বল, আমি তোমার প্রশংসাগান করব; তুমি, হে ঈশ্বর, আমার উচ্চদুর্গ, আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি যার উপর নির্ভর করতে পারি।
To thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God [is] my defense, [and] the God of my mercy.
