লেবীয় বই 1
1 সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে ডাকলেন ও সমাগম তাঁবু থেকে তাঁর সঙ্গে কথা বললেন। তিনি বললেন,
Nowe the Lord called Moses, and spake vnto him out of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, saying,
2 “ইস্রায়েলীদের সঙ্গে কথা বলো, তাদের বলো: ‘তোমাদের মধ্যে যদি কেউ সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে উপহার দেয়, সে পশুপাল থেকে অর্থাৎ গোপাল অথবা মেষপাল থেকে একটি পশু উৎসর্গ করুক।
Speake vnto the children of Israel, and thou shalt say vnto them, If any of you offer a sacrifice vnto the Lord, ye shall offer your sacrifice of cattell, as of beeues and of the sheepe.
3 “‘যদি সে পশুপাল থেকে হোমবলি উপহার দেয়, তাহলে নিষ্কলঙ্ক এক পুংপশু উৎসর্গ করুক। সে অবশ্যই সমাগম তাঁবুর প্রবেশদ্বারে এই উপহার রাখবে, যেন তা সদাপ্রভুর গ্রহণযোগ্য হয়।
If his sacrifice be a burnt offering of the heard, he shall offer a male without blemish, presenting him of his owne voluntarie will at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation before the Lord.
4 হোমবলির মাথায় সে হাত রাখবে ও তা প্রায়শ্চিত্তরূপে তার পক্ষে গৃহীত হবে।
And he shall put his hande vpon the head of the burnt offering, and it shalbe accepted to the Lord, to be his atonement.
5 পরে সদাপ্রভুর সামনে সে এঁড়ে বাছুরটি বধ করবে এবং এরপরে হারোণের পুত্র যাজকেরা রক্ত নেবে ও সমাগম তাঁবুর প্রবেশদ্বারের চারপাশে বেদির সর্বত্র রক্ত ছিটিয়ে দেবে।
And he shall kill the bullocke before the Lord, and the Priestes Aarons sonnes shall offer the blood, and shall sprinckle it round about vpon the altar, that is by the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
6 সে ওই হোমবলির চামড়া খুলবে ও বলিকৃত পশু কেটে খণ্ড খণ্ড করবে।
Then shall he fley the burnt offering, and cut it in pieces.
7 এরপর হারোণের পুত্র যাজকেরা বেদিতে অগ্নি সংযোগ করবে ও আগুনের মধ্যে কাঠ দেবে।
So the sonnes of Aaron the Priest shall put fire vpon the altar, and lay the wood in order vpon the fire.
8 পরে হারোণের পুত্র যাজকেরা পশুর মাথা ও চর্বি সমেত খণ্ডগুলি সাজাবে, এবং বেদিতে জ্বলন্ত কাঠের উপরে রাখবে।
Then the Priestes Aarons sonnes shall lay the parts in order, the head and the kall vpon the wood that is in the fire which is vpon the altar.
9 পশুর শরীরের ভিতরের অংশ ও পাগুলি সে জলে ধোবে এবং যাজক সে সকল বেদির আগুনে পোড়াবে। এটি হোমবলি, সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে সন্তোষজনক সৌরভার্থক অগ্নিকৃত এক উপহার।
But the inwardes thereof and the legges thereof he shall wash in water, and the Priest shall burne all on the altar: for it is a burnt offering, an oblation made by fire, for a sweete sauour vnto the Lord.
10 “‘যদি মেষপাল থেকে হোমবলি উৎসর্গ করা হয়, পালের মেষ কিংবা ছাগল হোক, তা হবে নিষ্কলঙ্ক এক পুংশাবক।
And if his sacrifice for the burnt offering be of the flocks (as of the sheepe, or of the goats) he shall offer a male without blemish,
11 সদাপ্রভুর সামনে বেদির উত্তর দিকে সে পশুটি হত্যা করবে ও হারোণের পুত্র যাজকেরা বেদির চারপাশে বলিদানের রক্ত ছিটিয়ে দেবে।
And he shall kill it on the Northside of the altar before the Lord, and the Priestes Aarons sonnes shall sprinckle the blood thereof rounde about vpon the altar.
12 সে পশুটিকে খণ্ড খণ্ড করে কাটবে এবং পশুটির মাথা ও চর্বি সমেত সমস্ত অর্ঘ্য যাজক সাজাবে ও বেদিতে জ্বলন্ত কাঠের উপরে রাখবে।
And he shall cut it in pieces, separating his head and his kall, and the Priest shall lay them in order vpon the wood that lyeth in the fire which is on the altar:
13 সে ওই পশুর অন্ত্র ও পা জলে ধুয়ে নেবে এবং যাজক সমস্ত নৈবেদ্য তুলবে ও বেদিতে পোড়াবে। এটি হোমবলি, সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে সৌরভার্থক সন্তোষজনক উপহার।
But he shall wash the inwardes, and the legges with water, and the Priest shall offer the whole and burne it vpon the altar: for it is a burnt offering, an oblation made by fire for a sweete sauour vnto the Lord.
14 “‘যদি সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে পাখিদের হোমবলি উৎসর্গ করা হয়, তাহলে ঘুঘু অথবা কপোতশাবক সে উপহার দেবে।
And if his sacrifice be a burnt offring to the Lord of ye foules, then he shall offer his sacrifice of the turtle doues, or of the yong pigeons.
15 যাজক ওই পাখিকে বেদিতে আনবে, তার মাথা মুচড়ে বেদিতে পোড়াবে; পাখির রক্ত বেদির পাশ দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হতে দেবে।
And the Priest shall bring it vnto the altar, and wring the necke of it asunder, and burne it on the altar: and the blood thereof shall bee shed vpon the side of the altar.
16 সে ওই পাখির কণ্ঠনালীর থলি ও অন্যান্য আবর্জনা তুলবে ও ভস্মস্থানের বেদির পূর্বদিকে নিক্ষেপ করবে।
And he shall plucke out his maw with his fethers, and cast them beside the altar on the East part in the place of the ashes.
17 সে পাখিটির ডানা ভাঙবে, কিন্তু পাখিটিকে পুরোপুরি ছিঁড়ে ফেলবে না, এবং বেদিতে জ্বলন্ত কাঠে যাজক পাখিটিকে পোড়াবে। এটি হোমবলি, যা সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে সৌরভার্থক সন্তোষজনক এক উপহার।
And he shall cleaue it with his wings, but not deuide it asunder: and the Priest shall burne it vpon the altar vpon the wood that is in the fire: for it is a burnt offering, an oblation made by fire for a sweete sauour vnto the Lord.
