1 ১ দেওয়াল গাঁথা শেষ হবার পর আমি ফটকগুলিতে দরজা লাগালাম এবং দারোয়ানরা, গায়কেরা ও লেবীয়েরা নিযুক্ত হল।
Then, after the wall was built, and I set up the double doors, and I enrolled the gatekeepers, and the singing men, and the Levites,
2 ২ আর আমি নিজের ভাই হনানি ও দুর্গের সেনাপতি হনানিয়কে যিরূশালেমের ভার দিলাম, কারণ হনানিয় বিশ্বস্ত লোক ছিলেন এবং ঈশ্বরকে অনেকের চেয়ে বেশী ভয় করতেন।
I instructed Hanani, my brother, and Hananiah, the leader of the house of Jerusalem, (for he seemed to be a truthful man, fearing God more than the others, )
3 ৩ আর আমি তাঁদেরকে বললাম, “যতক্ষণ রোদ বেশী না হয়, ততক্ষণ যিরূশালেমের দরজাগুলো যেন খোলা না হয় এবং রক্ষীরা কাছে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতে দরজাগুলো সব বন্ধ করা ও হুড়কা দেওয়া হয় এবং তোমরা যিরূশালেমের বাসিন্দাদের মধ্য থেকে যেন পাহারাদার নিযুক্ত কর, তারা প্রত্যেকে নিজের নিজের পাহারা দেবার জায়গায়, নিজের নিজের ঘরের সামনে থাকুক।”
and I said to them: “Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot.” And while they were standing there, the gates were closed and barred. And I stationed guards from the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each one in his turn, and each one opposite his own house.
Now the city was great and very wide, and the people in its midst were few, and the houses were not yet built.
5 ৫ পরে আমার ঈশ্বর আমার মনে ইচ্ছা দিলে আমি গণ্যমান্য লোকদের, নেতাদের ও লোকদের জড়ো করলাম, যেন তাদের বংশ তালিকা লেখা হয়। আমি প্রথমে আসা লোকদের বংশ তালিকা পেলাম, তার মধ্যে এই কথা লেখা পেলাম
But God had given to my heart, and I gathered the nobles, and the magistrates, and the common people, so that I might enroll them. And I found a book of the census of those who first went up, and in it there was found written:
6 ৬ যারা বন্দী অবস্থায় আনা হয়েছিল, বাবিলের রাজা নবূখদনিত্সর যাদেরকে বন্দী করে নিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন, তাদের মধ্যে প্রদেশের এই লোকেরা বন্দী অবস্থা থেকে গিয়ে যিরূশালেম ও যিহূদাতে নিজের নিজের শহরে ফিরে আসল;
These are the sons of the province, who ascended from the captivity of the transmigration, those whom Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, had taken away, and who returned into Jerusalem and Judea, each one to his own city.
7 ৭ তারা সরুব্বাবিল, যেশূয়, নহিমিয়, অসরিয়, রয়মিয়া, নহমানি, মর্দখয়, বিলশন, মিস্পরৎ, বিগবয়, নহূম ও বানা এদের সঙ্গে ফিরে আসল। সেই ইস্রায়েলীয়দের পুরুষ সংখ্যা;
They arrived with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
The sons of Parosh, two thousand one hundred seventy-two.
The sons of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy-two.
The sons of Arah, six hundred fifty-two.
The sons of Pahath-moab of the sons of Jeshua and of Joab, two thousand eight hundred eighteen.
The sons of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.
The sons of Zattu, eight hundred forty-five.
The sons of Zaccai, seven hundred sixty.
The sons of Binnui, six hundred forty-eight.
The sons of Bebai, six hundred twenty-eight.
The sons of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty-two.
The sons of Adonikam, six hundred sixty-seven.
The sons of Bigvai, two thousand sixty-seven.
The sons of Adin, six hundred fifty-five.
The sons of Ater, sons of Hezekiah, ninety-eight.
The sons of Hashum, three hundred twenty-eight.
The sons of Bezai, three hundred twenty-four.
The sons of Hariph, one hundred twelve.
The sons of Gibeon, ninety-five.
The sons of Bethlehem and Netophah, one hundred eighty-eight.
The men of Anathoth, one hundred twenty-eight.
The men of Beth-azmaveth, forty-two.
The men of Kiriath-jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty-three.
The men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty-one.
The men of Michmas, one hundred twenty-two.
The men of Bethel and Ai, one hundred twenty-three.
The men of the other Nebo, fifty-two.
The men of the other Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.
The sons of Harim, three hundred twenty.
The sons of Jericho, three hundred forty-five.
The sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty-one.
The sons of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred thirty.
The priests: the sons of Jedaiah in the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three.
The sons of Immer, one thousand fifty-two.
The sons of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven.
The sons of Harim, one thousand and seventeen.
The Levites: the sons of Jeshua and Kadmiel, the sons
of Hodaviah, seventy-four. The singing men:
the sons of Asaph, one hundred forty-eight.
The gatekeepers: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, the sons of Shobai, one hundred thirty-eight.
The temple servants: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth,
the sons of Keros, the sons of Siaha, the sons of Padon, the sons of Lebanah, the sons of Hagabah, the sons of Shalmai,
the sons of Hanan, the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar,
the sons of Reaiah, the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda,
the sons of Gazzam, the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah,
the sons of Besai, the sons of Meunim, the sons of Nephusim,
the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur,
the sons of Bazluth, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha,
the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah,
the sons of Neziah, the sons of Hatipha.
The sons of the servants of Solomon: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Sophereth, the sons of Perida,
the sons of Jaalah, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel,
the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth, who was born from Hazzebaim, the son of Amon.
All the temple servants and the sons of the servants of Solomon, three hundred ninety-two.
61 ৬১ তেল্ মেলহ, তেল্হর্শা, করূব, অদ্দন ও ইম্মেরের এই এলাকা থেকে নিম্নলিখিত লোকেরা এল আসল; কিন্তু তারা ইস্রায়েলীয় লোক কি না, এ বিষয়ে নিজের নিজের বাবার বংশ কি গোষ্ঠীর প্রমাণ করতে পারল না;
Now these are the ones who ascended from Telmelah, Telharsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer; and they were not able to indicate the house of their fathers and their offspring, whether they were of Israel:
the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, six hundred forty-two;
63 ৬৩ আর যাজকদের মধ্য থেকে হবায়, হক্কোস, ও বর্সিল্লয়ের বংশধরেরা; এই গিলিয়দীয় বর্সিল্লয়ের এক মেয়েকে বিয়ে করে তাদের নামে আখ্যাত হয়েছিল।
and among the priests: the sons of Hobaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzillai, who took a wife from the daughters of Barzillai, a Gileadite, and he was called by their name.
64 ৬৪ বংশ তালিকাতে বলা লোকদের মধ্যে এরা নিজের নিজের বংশ তালিকা খোঁজ করে পেল না, এই জন্য এরা অশুচি গণ্য হয়ে যাজকত্ব থেকে বাদ হয়ে গেল।
These sought their writing in the census, and they did not find it, and so they were cast out of the priesthood.
65 ৬৫ আর শাসনকর্ত্তা তাদেরকে আদেশ দিলেন, যতদিন ঊরীম ও তুম্মীম ব্যবহার করবার অধিকারী কোন যাজক উত্পন্ন না হয়, ততদিন পর্যন্ত তোমরা পবিত্র খাবারের কিছু খেয় না।
And the cupbearer said to them that they should not eat from the Holy of Holies, until a priest would stand up who was learned and skillful.
The entire multitude, which was like one man, was forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,
67 ৬৭ এছাড়া সাত হাজার তিনশো সাঁইত্রিশ জন চাকর চাকরানী এবং তাঁদের দুশো পঁয়তাল্লিশ জন গায়ক গায়িকাও ছিল।
aside from their men and women servants, who were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven, and among them were singing men and singing women, two hundred forty-five.
Their horses were seven hundred thirty-six; their mules were two hundred forty-five.
Their camels were four hundred thirty-five; their donkeys were six thousand seven hundred twenty.
70 ৭০ বংশের প্রধান লোকদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ কাজের জন্য দান করলেন। শাসনকর্ত্তা ধনভান্ডারে দিলেন এক হাজার সোনার অর্দকোন, পঞ্চাশটা বাটি ও যাজকদের জন্য পাঁচশো ত্রিশটা পোশাক দিলেন।
Now several of the leaders of the families gave to the work. The cupbearer gave to the treasury one thousand drachmas of gold, fifty bowls, and five hundred thirty priestly garments.
71 ৭১ বংশের প্রধান লোকদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ এই কাজের জন্য সোনার কুড়ি হ্যাঁজার অর্দকোন ও দুই হ্যাঁজার দুশো মানি রূপা ধনভান্ডারে দিলেন।
And some of the leaders of the families gave to the treasury of the work twenty thousand drachmas of gold, and two thousand two hundred minas of silver.
72 ৭২ বাকি লোকেরা দিল মোট সোনার কুড়ি হাজার অর্দকোন, দুই হ্যাঁজার মানি রূপা ও যাজকদের জন্য সাতষট্টিটা পোশাক।
And what the remainder of the people gave was twenty thousand drachmas of gold, and two thousand minas of silver, and sixty-seven priestly garments.
73 ৭৩ পরে যাজকেরা, লেবীয়েরা, রক্ষীরা, গায়কেরা, কোনো লোক ও নথীনীয়েরা এবং সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়েরা নিজের নিজের শহরে বাস করতে লাগল।
Now the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singing men, and the rest of the common people, and the temple servants, and all of Israel dwelt in their own cities.
