| ܘܢܦܩ ܡܢ ܬܡܢ ܘܐܬܐ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܗ ܘܕܒܝܩܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ | 1 |
AND he went out thence, and came into his native country; and his disciples followed him.
| ܘܟܕ ܗܘܬ ܫܒܬܐ ܫܪܝ ܠܡܠܦܘ ܒܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܤܓܝܐܐ ܕܫܡܥܘ ܐܬܕܡܪܘ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܐܝܡܟܐ ܠܗ ܗܠܝܢ ܠܗܢܐ ܘܐܝܕܐ ܗܝ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܕܐܬܝܗܒܬ ܠܗ ܕܚܝܠܐ ܕܐܝܟ ܗܠܝܢ ܒܐܝܕܘܗܝ ܢܗܘܘܢ | 2 |
And when the sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many when they heard him were amazed, saying, Whence hath this man these things? and what is the wisdom given to him, that even such miracles are done by his hands?
| ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܗܢܐ ܢܓܪܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܡܪܝܡ ܘܐܚܘܗܝ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܕܝܘܤܐ ܘܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܕܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܗܐ ܐܚܘܬܗ ܬܢܢ ܠܘܬܢ ܘܡܬܟܫܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܗ | 3 |
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James and Joses, and Judah and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
| ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܝܬ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܨܥܝܪ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܒܡܕܝܢܬܗ ܘܒܝܬ ܐܚܝܢܘܗܝ ܘܒܒܝܬܗ | 4 |
Then said Jesus unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his native place, and among his relations, and in his own family.
| ܘܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܗܘܐ ܕܢܥܒܕ ܬܡܢ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܚܕ ܚܝܠܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܕܥܠ ܟܪܝܗܐ ܩܠܝܠ ܤܡ ܐܝܕܗ ܘܐܤܝ | 5 |
And he could not do there any miracle, except that laying his hands on a few sick persons he cured them.
| ܘܡܬܕܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܒܚܤܝܪܘܬ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܗܘܢ ܘܡܬܟܪܟ ܗܘܐ ܒܩܘܪܝܐ ܟܕ ܡܠܦ | 6 |
And he marvelled at their infidelity. And he went about the villages around, teaching.
| ܘܩܪܐ ܠܬܪܥܤܪܬܗ ܘܫܪܝ ܕܢܫܕܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܬܪܝܢ ܬܪܝܢ ܘܝܗܒ ܠܗܘܢ ܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܥܠ ܪܘܚܐ ܛܢܦܬܐ ܕܢܦܩܘܢ | 7 |
And called the twelve, and began to send them two and two, and gave them authority over unclean spirits.
| ܘܦܩܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܫܩܠܘܢ ܡܕܡ ܠܐܘܪܚܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܫܒܛܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܠܐ ܬܪܡܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܠܚܡܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܚܫܐ ܒܟܝܤܝܗܘܢ | 8 |
And he commanded them, that they should take nothing for the journey, except a staff only; neither scrip, nor bread, nor even brass money in their purse:
| ܐܠܐ ܢܤܐܢܘܢ ܛܠܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܠܒܫܘܢ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܟܘܬܝܢܝܢ | 9 |
wearing sandals, and not to be clothed with two coats.
| ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܠܐܝܢܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܕܥܐܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܬܡܢ ܗܘܘ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܦܩܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܬܡܢ | 10 |
And he said unto them, Wheresoever ye enter into a family, there abide until ye depart thence.
| ܘܟܠ ܡܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܩܒܠܘܢܟܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܫܡܥܘܢܟܘܢ ܡܐ ܕܢܦܩܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܬܡܢ ܦܨܘ ܚܠܐ ܕܒܬܚܬܝܐ ܕܪܓܠܝܟܘܢ ܠܤܗܕܘܬܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܢܝܚ ܠܤܕܘܡ ܘܠܥܡܘܪܐ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܕܝܢܐ ܐܘ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܗܝ | 11 |
And as many as shall not receive you, neither hearken to you, when ye go from thence, shake off the dust from beneath your feet, for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
| ܘܢܦܩܘ ܗܘܘ ܘܐܟܪܙܘ ܕܢܬܘܒܘܢ | 12 |
And going forth, they preached, that men should repent.
| ܘܫܐܕܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܡܦܩܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܡܫܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܡܫܚܐ ܟܪܝܗܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܘܡܐܤܝܢ ܗܘܘ | 13 |
And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many sick persons, and cured them.
| ܘܫܡܥ ܗܪܘܕܤ ܡܠܟܐ ܥܠ ܝܫܘܥ ܐܬܝܕܥ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܓܝܪ ܫܡܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܝܘܚܢܢ ܡܥܡܕܢܐ ܩܡ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܚܝܠܐ ܡܤܬܥܪܝܢ ܒܗ | 14 |
And king Herod heard it (for his name was celebrated), and he said, This is John the Baptist, he is risen from the dead, and therefore miracles are wrought by him.
| ܐܚܪܢܐ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܕܐܠܝܐ ܗܘ ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܢܒܝܐ ܗܘ ܐܝܟ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܢܒܝܐ | 15 |
Others said, That it is Elias; and others said, He is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.
| ܟܕ ܫܡܥ ܕܝܢ ܗܪܘܕܤ ܐܡܪ ܝܘܚܢܢ ܗܘ ܕܐܢܐ ܦܤܩܬ ܪܫܗ ܗܘ ܩܡ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ | 16 |
But when Herod heard it, he said, This is John whom I beheaded; he is risen from the dead.
| ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܗܪܘܕܤ ܫܕܪ ܗܘܐ ܐܚܕܗ ܠܝܘܚܢܢ ܘܐܤܪܗ ܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ ܡܛܠ ܗܪܘܕܝܐ ܐܢܬܬ ܦܝܠܝܦܘܤ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܗܝ ܕܢܤܒ | 17 |
For Herod himself had sent and seized upon John, and bound him in prison, for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife; because he had married her.
| ܐܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܝܘܚܢܢ ܠܗܪܘܕܤ ܕܠܐ ܫܠܝܛ ܠܟ ܕܬܤܒ ܐܢܬܬ ܐܚܘܟ | 18 |
For John said to Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.
| ܗܝ ܕܝܢ ܗܪܘܕܝܐ ܠܚܝܡܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܗ ܘܨܒܝܢ ܗܘܬ ܠܡܩܛܠܗ ܘܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܐ ܗܘܬ | 19 |
Therefore Herodias bore him a rooted resentment, and would have slain him; yet could not:
| ܗܪܘܕܤ ܓܝܪ ܕܚܠ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܝܘܚܢܢ ܥܠ ܕܝܕܥ ܗܘܐ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܗܘ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܩܕܝܫܐ ܘܡܢܛܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܘܤܓܝܐܬܐ ܫܡܥ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܘܥܒܕ ܘܒܤܝܡܐܝܬ ܫܡܥ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ | 20 |
for Herod feared John, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man; and paid great attention to him and when he heard him, did many things, and heard him with delight.
| ܘܗܘܐ ܝܘܡܐ ܝܕܝܥܐ ܟܕ ܗܪܘܕܤ ܒܒܝܬ ܝܠܕܗ ܚܫܡܝܬܐ ܥܒܕ ܗܘܐ ܠܪܘܪܒܢܘܗܝ ܘܠܟܝܠܝܪܟܐ ܘܠܪܫܐ ܕܓܠܝܠܐ | 21 |
And a favourable day being come for her purpose, when Herod on his birth-day made a supper for his nobles, and military commanders, and the principal personages of Galilee;
| ܘܥܠܬ ܒܪܬܗ ܕܗܪܘܕܝܐ ܪܩܕܬ ܘܫܦܪܬ ܠܗ ܠܗܪܘܕܤ ܘܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܤܡܝܟܝܢ ܥܡܗ ܘܐܡܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܠܛܠܝܬܐ ܫܐܠܝ ܡܢܝ ܡܕܡ ܕܨܒܝܐ ܐܢܬܝ ܘܐܬܠ ܠܟܝ | 22 |
and the daughter of this Herodias coming in, and dancing, and delighting Herod, and his company, the king said to the damsel, Ask me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.
| ܘܝܡܐ ܠܗ ܕܡܕܡ ܕܬܫܐܠܝܢ ܐܬܠ ܠܟܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܦܠܓܗ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܝ | 23 |
And he swore unto her, That whatsoever thou shalt ask, I will give thee, even to the half of my kingdom.
| ܗܝ ܕܝܢ ܢܦܩܬ ܘܐܡܪܐ ܠܐܡܗ ܡܢܐ ܐܫܐܠܝܘܗܝ ܐܡܪܐ ܠܗ ܪܫܗ ܕܝܘܚܢܢ ܡܥܡܕܢܐ | 24 |
Then she went out and said to her mother, What shall I ask? and she said, The head of John the Baptist.
| ܘܡܚܕܐ ܥܠܬ ܒܒܛܝܠܘܬܐ ܠܘܬ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܐܡܪܐ ܠܗ ܨܒܝܐ ܐܢܐ ܒܗܕܐ ܫܥܬܐ ܕܬܬܠ ܠܝ ܥܠ ܦܝܢܟܐ ܪܫܗ ܕܝܘܚܢܢ ܡܥܡܕܢܐ | 25 |
And she came in immediately with eagerness to the king, and asked, saying, I desire that thou wilt give me on the spot, in a charger, the head of John the Baptist.
| ܘܟܪܝܬ ܠܗ ܤܓܝ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܝܢ ܡܘܡܬܐ ܘܡܛܠ ܤܡܝܟܐ ܠܐ ܨܒܐ ܕܢܓܠܙܝܗ | 26 |
And the king was exceedingly sorry; yet on account of his oath, and those who sat with him, he would not refuse her.
| ܐܠܐ ܡܚܕܐ ܫܕܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܐܤܦܘܩܠܛܪܐ ܘܦܩܕ ܕܢܝܬܐ ܪܫܗ ܕܝܘܚܢܢ ܘܐܙܠ ܦܤܩܗ ܪܫܗ ܕܝܘܚܢܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܤܝܪܐ | 27 |
And the king immediately sending a centinel, commanded his head to be brought thither: and he went, and beheaded him in the prison,
| ܘܐܝܬܝ ܒܦܝܢܟܐ ܘܝܗܒ ܠܛܠܝܬܐ ܘܗܝ ܛܠܝܬܐ ܝܗܒܬ ܠܐܡܗ | 28 |
and brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel, and the damsel gave it to her mother.
| ܘܫܡܥܘ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܬܘ ܫܩܠܘ ܫܠܕܗ ܘܤܡܘ ܒܒܝܬ ܩܒܘܪܐ | 29 |
And when his disciples heard it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a sepulchre.
| ܘܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܠܘܬ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܥܒܕܘ ܘܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܐܠܦܘ | 30 |
And the disciples came together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
| ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܬܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܢܐܙܠ ܠܕܒܪܐ ܒܠܚܘܕܝܢ ܘܐܬܬܢܝܚܘ ܩܠܝܠ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܘ ܓܝܪ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܕܐܙܠܝܢ ܘܐܬܝܢ ܘܠܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܬܪܐ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܠܡܐܟܠ | 31 |
And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and repose a little while: for there were multitudes coming and going, so that they had not even time to eat.
| ܘܐܙܠܘ ܠܐܬܪܐ ܚܘܪܒܐ ܒܤܦܝܢܬܐ ܒܠܚܘܕܝܗܘܢ | 32 |
And they went into a desert place in a vessel privately.
| ܘܚܙܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܟܕ ܐܙܠܝܢ ܘܐܫܬܘܕܥܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܒܝܒܫܐ ܪܗܛܘ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܠܬܡܢ | 33 |
And the multitudes observed them going off, and many knew him, and ran thither on foot out of all the cities, and got before them, and came together unto him.
| ܘܢܦܩ ܝܫܘܥ ܚܙܐ ܟܢܫܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܘܐܬܪܚܡ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܕܕܡܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܥܪܒܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܪܥܝܐ ܘܫܪܝ ܗܘܐ ܠܡܠܦܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܤܓܝܐܬܐ | 34 |
And Jesus, when he landed, saw a vast multitude, and was moved with companion towards them, for they were as sheep having no shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
| ܘܟܕ ܗܘܐ ܥܕܢܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ ܩܪܒܘ ܠܘܬܗ ܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܕܗܢܐ ܐܬܪܐ ܚܘܪܒܐ ܗܘ ܘܥܕܢܐ ܤܓܝ | 35 |
And when great part of the day was already gone, his disciples coming to him said, This is a desert place, and much of the day is already gone:
| ܫܪܝ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܢܐܙܠܘܢ ܠܐܓܘܪܤܐ ܕܚܕܪܝܢ ܘܠܩܘܪܝܐ ܘܢܙܒܢܘܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܚܡܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܕܡ ܠܡܐܟܠ | 36 |
send them away, that they may go into the country places and villages around, and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܗܒܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܡܠܥܤ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܢܐܙܠ ܢܙܒܢ ܕܡܐܬܝܢ ܕܝܢܪܝܢ ܠܚܡܐ ܘܢܬܠ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܥܤܝܢ | 37 |
But he answering said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy the value of two hundred denarii, in loaves, and give them to eat?
| ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܙܠܘ ܚܙܘ ܟܡܐ ܠܚܡܝܢ ܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܪܟܐ ܘܟܕ ܚܙܘ ܐܡܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܚܡܫܐ ܠܚܡܝܢ ܘܬܪܝܢ ܢܘܢܝܢ | 38 |
But he said to them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they said, Five, and two fishes.
| ܘܦܩܕ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܢܤܡܟܘܢ ܠܟܠܢܫ ܤܡܟܝܢ ܤܡܟܝܢ ܥܠ ܥܤܒܐ | 39 |
And he commanded them to seat them all by companies on the green grass:
| ܘܐܤܬܡܟܘ ܤܡܟܝܢ ܤܡܟܝܢ ܕܡܐܐ ܡܐܐ ܘܕܚܡܫܝܢ ܚܡܫܝܢ | 40 |
and they lay along row against row, a hundred deep, and fifty wide.
| ܘܢܤܒ ܗܢܘܢ ܚܡܫܐ ܠܚܡܝܢ ܘܬܪܝܢ ܢܘܢܝܢ ܘܚܪ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܘܒܪܟ ܘܩܨܐ ܠܚܡܐ ܘܝܗܒ ܠܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܕܢܤܝܡܘܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܗܢܘܢ ܬܪܝܢ ܢܘܢܝܢ ܦܠܓܘ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ | 41 |
And taking the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, that they should set them before them, and the two fishes he divided among them all.
| ܘܐܟܠܘ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܘܤܒܥܘ | 42 |
And they did all eat, and were filled:
| ܘܫܩܠܘ ܩܨܝܐ ܬܪܥܤܪ ܩܘܦܝܢܝܢ ܟܕ ܡܠܝܢ ܘܡܢ ܢܘܢܐ | 43 |
and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
| ܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܟܠܘ ܠܚܡܐ ܚܡܫܐ ܐܠܦܝܢ ܓܒܪܝܢ | 44 |
And they who did eat of the loaves, were about five thousand men.
| ܘܡܚܕܐ ܐܠܨ ܠܬܠܡܝܕܘܗܝ ܕܢܤܩܘܢ ܠܤܦܝܢܬܐ ܘܢܐܙܠܘܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܠܥܒܪܐ ܠܒܝܬ ܨܝܕܐ ܥܕ ܫܪܐ ܗܘ ܠܟܢܫܐ | 45 |
And immediately he compelled his disciples to go on board the vessel, and to go before him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he sent the multitude away.
| ܘܟܕ ܫܪܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܙܠ ܠܛܘܪܐ ܠܡܨܠܝܘ | 46 |
And having bid them farewell, he went into a mountain to pray.
| ܟܕ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܪܡܫܐ ܤܦܝܢܬܐ ܐܝܬܝܗ ܗܘܬ ܡܨܥܬ ܝܡܐ ܘܗܘ ܒܠܚܘܕܘܗܝ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ | 47 |
And when the evening was come, the vessel was in the midst of the sea, and himself alone on the land.
| ܘܚܙܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܡܫܬܢܩܝܢ ܟܕ ܪܕܝܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܓܝܪ ܠܘܩܒܠܗܘܢ ܗܘܬ ܘܒܡܛܪܬܐ ܪܒܝܥܝܬܐ ܕܠܠܝܐ ܐܬܐ ܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܟܕ ܡܗܠܟ ܥܠ ܡܝܐ ܘܨܒܐ ܗܘܐ ܕܢܥܒܪ ܐܢܘܢ | 48 |
And he saw them greatly fatigued with rowing, for the wind was contrary to them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh to them, walking upon the sea, and seemed intending to pass by them.
| ܗܢܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܚܙܐܘܗܝ ܕܡܗܠܟ ܥܠ ܡܝܐ ܘܤܒܪܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܚܙܘܐ ܗܘ ܕܓܠܐ ܘܩܥܘ | 49 |
But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they thought it was an apparition, and screamed out:
| ܟܠܗܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܚܙܐܘܗܝ ܘܕܚܠܘ ܘܒܪ ܫܥܬܗ ܡܠܠ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܬܠܒܒܘ ܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ | 50 |
for they all saw him, and were greatly agitated: and straitway he spoke to them, and said, Take courage, it is I, be not terrified.
| ܘܤܠܩ ܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܠܤܦܝܢܬܐ ܘܫܠܝܬ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܛܒ ܡܬܕܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܘܬܗܝܪܝܢ ܒܢܦܫܗܘܢ | 51 |
And he went up to them into the vessel, and the wind ceased and they were beyond all imagination amazed in themselves, and lost in wonder.
| ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܤܬܟܠܘ ܗܘܘ ܡܢ ܠܚܡܐ ܗܘ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܒܗܘܢ ܡܥܒܝ ܗܘܐ | 52 |
For they reflected not upon the loaves, for their heart was hardened.
| ܘܟܕ ܥܒܪܘ ܥܒܪܐ ܐܬܘ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܓܢܤܪ | 53 |
And when they had passed over, they came to the land of Gennesareth, and went on shore.
| ܘܟܕ ܢܦܩܘ ܡܢ ܤܦܝܢܬܐ ܒܪ ܫܥܬܗ ܐܤܬܟܠܘܗܝ ܐܢܫܝ ܐܬܪܐ | 54 |
And when they came out of the vessel, immediately perceiving him,
| ܘܪܗܛܘ ܒܟܠܗ ܐܪܥܐ ܗܝ ܘܫܪܝܘ ܠܡܝܬܝܘ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܝܫܐܝܬ ܥܒܝܕܝܢ ܟܕ ܫܩܝܠܝܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܥܪܤܬܐ ܠܐܝܟܐ ܕܫܡܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ | 55 |
running through all parts of that country, they began to carry about on couches those who were afflicted with diseases, wherever they heard that he was.
| ܘܐܝܟܐ ܕܥܐܠ ܗܘܐ ܠܩܘܪܝܐ ܘܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܒܫܘܩܐ ܤܝܡܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܟܪܝܗܐ ܘܒܥܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܢܗ ܕܐܦܢ ܠܟܢܦܐ ܕܠܒܘܫܗ ܢܩܪܒܘܢ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܩܪܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܗ ܡܬܐܤܝܢ ܗܘܘ | 56 |
And wherever they entered into villages or cities, or country places, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch, if but the fringe on his garment; and as many as touched it, were cured.
