عِبرانِيّين 6

١ 1 لِذَلِكَ، فَلْنَتْرُكْ تِلْكَ الأُمُورَ الأَوَّلِيَّةَ عَنِ الْمَسِيحِ، وَنَتَقَدَّمْ إِلَى النُّضْجِ الْكَامِلِ. وَلا نَعُودُ إلَى تِلْكَ الأُسُسِ الَّتِي تَعَلَّمْنَاهَا سَابِقاً، وَهِيَ: التَّوْبَةُ مِنَ الأَعْمَالِ الْمُمِيتَةِ، وَالإِيمَانُ بِاللهِ،

Therefore, leaving the elementary teaching about Christ, let us move on toward perfection, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and trust in God,

٢ 2 وَالنُّظُمُ الْمُخْتَصَّةُ بِطُقُوسِ الْمَعْمُودِيَّةِ، وَوَضْعُ الأَيْدِي، وَقِيَامَةُ الأَمْوَاتِ، وَالدَّيْنُونَةُ الأَبَدِيَّةُ. (aiōnios g166)

of teaching about baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (aiōnios g166)

٣ 3 وَبِإِذْنِ اللهِ، سَنَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ!

We will do this, that is, if indeed God should permit it.

٤ 4 ذَلِكَ لأَنَّ الَّذِينَ قَدْ تَعَرَّضُوا مَرَّةً لِنُورِ الإِيمَانِ بِالْمَسِيحِ، فَذَاقُوا الْعَطِيَّةَ السَّمَاوِيَّةَ، وَصَارُوا مِنْ شُرَكَاءِ الرُّوحِ الْقُدُسِ،

Because, it is impossible to bring back into repentance those who were once for all enlightened, who have partaken of the heavenly gift and were made sharers in the Holy Spirit,

٥ 5 وَذَاقُوا كَلِمَةَ اللهِ الطَّيِّبَةَ، وَشَاهَدُوا مُعْجِزَاتِ «الْعَالَمِ الآتِي»، (aiōn g165)

who have experienced God's good event and capabilities of the coming age, (aiōn g165)

٦ 6 ثُمَّ ارْتَدُّوا، أُولَئِكَ يَسْتَحِيلُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يَتَجَدَّدُوا ثَانِيَةً فَيَعُودُوا إِلَى التَّوْبَةِ. فَهُمْ يَجْنُونَ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ إِذْ يَصْلِبُونَ ابْنَ اللهِ مَرَّةً ثَانِيَةً وَيَجْعَلُونَهُ عُرْضَةً لِلْعَارِ.

and yet have fallen away—they would be crucifying the Son of God all over again, just for themselves, holding Him up to contempt.

٧ 7 وَلا عَجَبَ، فَالتُّرْبَةُ الَّتِي تَشْرَبُ الأَمْطَارَ النَّازِلَةَ عَلَيْهَا مِرَاراً كَثِيرَةً، ثُمَّ تُنْتِجُ نَبَاتاً يَنْفَعُ الَّذِينَ حَرَثُوهَا، تَنَالُ الْبَرَكَةَ مِنَ اللهِ!

Now the ground that drinks in the rain that frequently falls on it and produces a crop useful to those for whom it is really cultivated receives blessing from God;

٨ 8 وَلَكِنَّهَا، إِنْ أَخْرَجَتِ الشَّوْكَ وَالعُشْبَ البَرِّيَّ، تَكُونُ مَرْفُوضَةً وَتَسْتَحِقُّ اللَّعْنَةَ، وَمَا نِهَايَتُهَا إِلّا الْحَرِيقُ.

but should it bear thorns and thistles, it is disqualified, almost a curse, whose destiny is a burning.

٩ 9 أَيُّهَا الأَحِبَّاءُ، مَعَ أَنِّي قَصَدْتُ تَحْذِيرَكُمْ بِمَا قُلْتُهُ هُنَا، فَأَنَا مُقْتَنِعٌ بِأَنَّ خَلاصَكُمْ أَمْرٌ لَا شَكَّ فِيهِ. إِذْ قَدْ عَمِلْتُمْ أَعْمَالاً فُضْلَى، تُرَافِقُ هَذَا الخَلاصَ.

For all that, dear ones, we are confident of the better things concerning you—things that accompany salvation—even though we speak like this.

١٠ 10 وَلَيْسَ اللهُ بِظَالِمٍ حَتَّى يَنْسَى عَمَلَكُمُ الْجَادَّ فِي إِظْهَارِ مَحَبَّتِكُمْ لَهُ عَنْ طَرِيقِ خِدْمَتِكُمْ لِلْقِدِّيسِينَ إِكْرَاماً لاسْمِهِ، الأَمْرُ الَّذِي قُمْتُمْ بِهِ قَبْلاً، وَتَقُومُونَ بِهِ الآنَ!

Because God is not unjust so as to ignore your work, even the labor of love you have invested in His name, in that you have ministered to the saints and continue to do so.

١١ 11 وَإِنَّمَا نَتَمَنَّى أَنْ يُظْهِرَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْكُمُ اجْتِهَاداً مُمَاثِلاً فِي الْمُحَافَظَةِ حَتَّى النِّهَايَةِ عَلَى الثِّقَةِ الْكَامِلَةِ بِالرَّجَاءِ.

You see, we really do want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so as to fulfill the hope;

١٢ 12 وَذَلِكَ حَتَّى لَا تَتَكَاسَلُوا، بَلْ تَقْتَدُوا بِالَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ مَا وَعَدَ اللهُ بِهِ، عَنْ طَرِيقِ الإِيمَانِ وَالصَّبْرِ.

so that you not become lazy, but rather imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

١٣ 13 لِنَأْخُذْ وَعْدَ اللهِ لإِبْرَاهِيمَ مَثَلاً. فَلَمَّا قَطَعَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ الْوَعْدَ، أَقْسَمَ بِنَفْسِهِ، إِذْ لَيْسَ هُنَالِكَ مَنْ هُوَ أَعْظَمُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى يُقْسِمَ بِهِ.

Now when God made a promise to Abraham, since He had no one greater to swear by, He swore by Himself

١٤ 14 وَقَدْ قَالَ لَهُ: «لأُبَارِكَنَّكَ وَأُعْطِيَنَّكَ نَسْلاً كَثِيراً!»

saying, “Indeed, blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”

١٥ 15 وَهَكَذَا، انْتَظَرَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بِصَبْرٍ فَنَالَ مَا وُعِدَ بِهِ.

And so, after he had been patient, he obtained the promise.

١٦ 16 فَالْوَاقِعُ أَنَّ النَّاسَ يُقْسِمُونَ بِالأَعْظَمِ، وَالْقَسَمُ عِنْدَهُمْ، يَضَعُ حَدّاً لِكُلِّ مُشَاجَرَةٍ لأَنَّهُ يَحْسُمُ الأُمُورَ.

Because since men swear by the greater, and for them the confirming oath puts an end to every dispute,

١٧ 17 وَلِذَلِكَ، لَمَّا أَرَادَ اللهُ أَنْ يُؤَكِّدَ بِصُورَةٍ قَاطِعَةٍ لِوَارِثِي وَعْدِهِ أَنَّ قَرَارَهُ لَا يَتَغَيَّرُ أَبَداً، ثَبَّتَهُ بِالْقَسَمِ.

similarly God, being determined to show even more clearly to the heirs of the promise the unchanging nature of His purpose, guaranteed it by an oath,

١٨ 18 فَاسْتِنَاداً إِلَى وَعْدِ اللهِ وَقَسَمِهِ، وَهُمَا أَمْرَانِ ثَابِتَانِ لَا يَتَغَيَّرَانِ وَيَسْتَحِيلُ أَنْ يَكْذِبَ اللهُ فِيهِمَا، نَحْصُلُ عَلَى تَشْجِيعٍ قَوِيٍّ، بَعْدَمَا الْتَجَأْنَا إِلَى التَّمَسُّكِ بِالرَّجَاءِ الْمَوْضُوعِ أَمَامَنَا.

so that by two unalterable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we should have a strong encouragement, we who have taken refuge by grasping the hope set before us;

١٩ 19 هَذَا الرَّجَاءُ هُوَ لَنَا بِمَثَابَةِ مِرْسَاةٍ أَمِينَةٍ ثَابِتَةٍ تَشُدُّ نُفُوسَنَا إِلَى مَا وَرَاءَ الْحِجَابِ السَّمَاوِيِّ.

which hope we have as an anchor for the soul, both certain and secure, actually entering the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,

٢٠ 20 فَلأَجْلِنَا دَخَلَ يَسُوعُ إِلَى هُنَاكَ سَابِقاً لَنَا. وَهُوَ هُنَاكَ يَقُومُ بِمُهِمَّتِهِ نِيَابَةً عَنَّا بَعْدَمَا صَارَ رَئِيسَ كَهَنَةٍ إِلَى الأَبَدِ عَلَى رُتْبَةِ مَلْكِيصَادَقَ! (aiōn g165)

where Forerunner Jesus has entered on our behalf, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn g165)
